Residence Inn Tallahassee North I-10 Capital Circle

We’ve stayed in several Res Inns on our cross-country trip, and this was the worst by far. Staff was great, cleanliness okay, but the property is tired and falling apart. Water in kitchen sink flowed into dishwasher and leaked onto the floor. Shower controls are loose and difficult to use. Nighstand was missing. Doors are rickety. Also, they allow pets ($100/nt…WHUT?) but there is almost no grassy area for the pet. We’ll skip this one next time.

Said it had a hot tub and it did not, would of stayed some were else if would of known, was looking forward to it.

We loved this hotel. We got in late Friday and checked out Saturday but I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast area is kind of a tight squeeze and odd but they had a waffle maker and that's all we cared about. It is on the wall by the coffee, so don't overlook it. We didn't see it at first and were definitely bummed. As a Mom of picky eaters, I try to only stay places with a waffle or pancake maker to get that free meal in and save a few bucks! :D The pool was great. Having an indoor pool is always a good thing so that you know youre covered for entertainment, rain or shine. The front desk associate was not the most cheerful lady I've ever met, but she wasn't rude, so that works.

Loved the suite we stayed in, it felt like a small air bnb. They served a nice breakfast with multiple options to choose from: cereal, eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, a waffle maker to make your own waffles, bagels, and oatmeal. They had a beautiful sitting area with fire pit and indoor pool. A small gym area. Everything was clean. I will definitely be booking here again.

Liked most things about this place. Only issue is Expedia said it had a hot tub and it does not. It’s now filled in with concrete. I booked this hotel just for the hot tub. Sadly this is the third time Expedia has done that to me with zero compensation. Overall clean hotel and nice pool indoors. Only other issue is doors slam shut throughout hotel and very loud and can feel it in the room.

We appreciated having the kitchen and the included hot breakfast each morning, as well as the pool and exercise facilities even though we didn’t have a chance to use them. We liked the design of the room. It was possible for two people to work at desktop space simultaneously. The only negative for me personally was that the pillows were a bit too thick for me and I got a stiff neck. Each person has a different preference though so I can’t say they are bad.

It was a great stay. The pool was down which would have been great to know before hand. The pool they sent us to at their sister property was also down and has been down for a while.

I was disappointed in this place given the “wonderful ratings. In fairness: PROS: 1. Location to I-10 2. Exceptional bed, very comfortable. 3. Pet friendly 4. Friendly, welcoming staff 5. Cleanliness 6. Shower is walk-in and work great. Spacious, they provide shampoo, conditioner and showe CONS: 1. Pet deposit is $100. This is outrageous. I booked last minute and didn’t see $100 fee. Thought it was $50. I will never stay at a Residence Inn or Marriott property again if their non refundable pet deposit is $100 per stay, or per day. Www 2. room was dated, dark, depressing looking. Paint peeling off the bathroom door, some chips in tile, dark carpet and a hideous brown sofa that was low, cheap fabric with vinyl looking leather on back. Fluorescent lighting in kitchen. It looked tired, dingy and worn except for the bed. 3. Bare bones continental breakfast in a small room. given the cost of the room, they could do better. 4. Noisy room next to I-10. I was able to go to sleep but I was very tired. But it was loud enough to be disruptive for light sleepers. That is not Marriott’s fault. Just a reality for rooms adjacent to I-10. My daughter had the room across from me and could not hear the noise from the interstate but her toilet didn’t work properly. She made it work and reported it the next morning. The next time I am staying in Tallahassee, I won’t be staying at this Residence Inn. Deal breaker was pet deposit amount. I I

Good location for our needs. Property has a pool and other amenities we like.

A wonderfully clean and friendly environment. The suite was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was provided with a good variety of foods to select from. A great stay and a location that I would highly recommend.

Our hot water did not work. The toilet in my sisters room wasn’t working. We had a wedding that day and we were running behind because of the water situation, The rooms were a tad dirty.

The property was clean and all staff we interacted with were very friendly.

The customer service was very good. Two coffee cups found in the cupboard had been used and never washed with obvious coffee residue. Room had terrible chemical smell that gave me a migraine and it saturated all of my belongings. I came home sneezing from it and it has taken my several days to detox from it. The chemicals used to sanitize are worse than the germs! Please stop with all of this germaphobic nonsense. These chemicals are dangerous and cause cancer, migraines infertility...and are destroying our natural immunities. The air-conditioner leaked all over the floor and caused my bags to get wet, including my clean clothes that I was planning to wear home. The floor all around the room where the unit was contained was saturated with water. The good thing was the location and the staff was friendly, courteous and prompt with their attention. I would stay again if you stop with all of the chemicals. Just go back to cleaning the old fashioned, normal way. Stop using things that are so detrimental to people's health especially those that are sensitive. The chemicals are hurting us more than they are helping us.

Would not recommend spending money on this hotel. First, parking space is extremely limited. When entering the room there was a smell of sweaty feet that was disgusting. Booked a suite with king bed and sofa bed. The was a large desk crammed in between the sofa bed and the wall, completely unnecessary with a desk chair ripped everywhere. The AC vents full of old dust. Worst part was the bathroom door hinges broken, couldn’t open or close the door. The sofa bed mattress was so worn out, it felt like throwing a comforter in top of bare springs. The HVAC unit kept going off every 10 minutes and sounded like a revving truck behind the wall.Breakfast was offered but decided not to even attempt it for fear of getting food poisoning. Just heading out of the building you could see maintenance alcove door open full of materials and chemicals easily accessible to the guests which could pose a risk for children. Not at single employee acknowledged myself while leaving, no courtesy whatsoever.

Checkin was friendly & quick. The bedroom & bathroom were comfortable but highway noise was constant. The kitchen area was a maintenance nightmare. The faucet was extremely wobbly. The paper towel dispenser was barely holding together. The dishwasher was nonfunctional & its door couldn’t easily be opened because it hit the side wall. There were several areas that could use a fresh coat of paint.

The area is nice but the hotel needs some upgrades with sofa, sofabed and tvs.

The staff is fantastic! However, the room I was in had an AC unit that was so loud it was hard to sleep. It kept waking me up all night long. The next day I was forced to get ear plugs which helped a little...I should have asked for another room but by the time I got back from work I was too tired to pack up and move.

Not so good, was placed at the end of the hall on the first floor next to the side exit door. Very noisy and a ton of smokers constantly going outside.

I really hated to give this property a 4 star review because it was such a great place, however the condition of the sofa bed mattress was extremely poor. We were moving our college grad to Tampa. We planned for him to sleep on the sofa bed. You could feel and see the coils/ springs on the mattress. Thankfully, it was only one night. I would stay here again if it was only two of us.

The Residence Inn was a great stop on our road trip. We were given a surprise upgrade to a two-room suite. It was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and fine.

The front desk personnel were exceptional, displaying a level of training and professionalism that truly stood out. This was undoubtedly the best-managed hotel or motel we've encountered in years. As frequent travelers, spending nine months on the road annually, we have seen our fair share of accommodations, but this establishment surpassed our expectations. Similarly, the maintenance and cleaning staff were not only highly skilled but also remarkably courteous, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and pleasant.

Stopped for one night on our way home. The staff here is amazing and left a lasting impression. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

I can’t coment on the property, because although I paid for a suite with a king size bed, rolling shower and a sofa bed in a separate room, with kitchenette… all I got was an excuse for not having the room available when I got there, so I was sent to a Courtyard next door, where I was given a simple room with no rolling shower and in fact, a very small shower where my shower chair couldn’t fit. So it was very sad to see my wife suffering at the moment I was giving her a shower. Very nice room ant the Courtyard and the people were very nice at both places. But I am very disappointed for not having the room I paid for. Also I paid for breakfast included and the Courtyard did not have that, so I had to settle. I travel with my family and my wife is paraplegic, so handicapped room with rolling shower is very important for us…so my general experience is something I just want to forget.

I was called the day of check in which was Memorial Day weekend and told that they had given my room away. They were so kind as to refer me to a hotel nearby that had rooms available but when I googled the hotel it was dirty. I was not offered any thing for the inconvenience. Luckily I was able to find a room that was clean and around the same price in the area. I thought that it was so unprofessional.

Guy who checked us in was awesome. We came in at midnight and he welcomed us in with a great attitude.

We were just in town for the night but had a great stay. One thing that really struck me was how friendly every single one of the staff members was! My child is on the autism spectrum and is very social, sometimes asking too many personal questions/talking too much. Everyone who met him was especially patient and kind and even bragged about how smart and nice he was. I really appreciated this, more than I can say. Thanks to all of the staff, from the front desk to the breakfast staff to the custodian for being so kind and hospitable . I really appreciate yall!

Love the breakfast! Much gratitude to Ms. Angela and her team for making sure we had hot Fresh breakfast! And to the housekeeping staff and GM who were very accommodating! I will be returning in the future!

The location was perfect but I was not pleased at all with the housekeeping service. Didn't really clean room, didn't even replace towels or toilet paper. Asked the front desk for towels and was told they would alert housekeeping, they never arrived. Toilet pressure extremely low, constantly clogging up. I stayed 9 days with my wife on our 27th Anniversary and the service should have been a hell of a lot better.

I didn’t like that the windows facing the expressway didn’t provide much sound deadening

Our first time at one of these hotels and definitely not our last. Room layout was perfect. Great location, very friendly staff, typical hotel breakfast. The only1 thing that I’d mention that let us down was the noise of the traffic. It was very loud we thought our window was open. Other than that. A great stay!!

We were tired and hungry. This property had good ratings and had an Outback next door so i booked it. We have a box truck and easily found parking on a Saturday evening. We had a king suite - lots of hot water bed was soft and comfortable. Near the elevator but very quiet. Outback was busy but good service and an easy meal once we were parked. Lots of tv channels, suite has a nice kitchenette and 2 tvs. Lots of breakfast options in the am - 3 different breakfast meats, everything from waffles to english muffins and even hard boiled eggs. Nice ladies keeping it stocked and clean. Feont desk staff efficient and friendly.

Front desk staff was nice, but hotel is old and could use a face lift. Furniture was very used. It was fairly clean, just felt worn. Breakfast was a joke. Staff was closing up area before the designated time, and no food had been replenished. Some food was even put away early, not simply empty. Lady was hurrying everyone out. She must have had somewhere to be, lol. Stay was not bad, just ok.

The hotel itself was great they claimed there was a hot tub it had been filled in at some point the pool water was ice cold no fun in january and breakfast was a big disappointment
