Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead

The first thing I noticed was they are under construction. The incidental fee is $150 which is extremely high. Also they do not accept cash nor split tender. The 1 wlevator needs to be inspected because it was nerve wrecking to ride it and it had not been inspected since 2022 or 2023. The hallway had mosquitoes and was poorly lit. The room smelled wonderful and I was not expecting the room to be as nice and clean as it was. But my room was a pleasant surprise. The only downside to my room was that the appliance paint they sprayed on the bath tub was peeling and the bathroom sink stopped up when you turn on the faucet. I loved that the TV had Netflix. I was hoping for breakfast but there wasn't really much of a breakfast and I imagine thats due to everything being under construction.

When I arrived I found out that the property was under renovations (which it did need). 5 days of no free breakfast. The temporary gym was a smelly joke. No A/C. I will not be staying here again.

I have pictures of construction debris in the hallway leading to my room, the parking garage (where I parked my car) had cars covered in plastic and others covered in construction dust. I had to duck under plastic tarps to get to the elevator and the door to gain access to it was being painted and knowing of wet paint, damaged my shirt. The bathroom tub was dirty, the cauling was separating from the wall and the view from the window was a wall 10 feet away. The pool was closed. There was no lobby but a door that let to a desk which felt like a storage room. I was given a bottle of water, a bag of popcorn and apack a chips a hoy cookies for my inconvenience. Pathetic. I expect so much more from a hotel which has Buckhead in its name and the surrounding buildings. I will not stay here again or any other "Residence Inn By Marriott" Do better!

I wanted to park elsewhere since, not only was the parking structure dangerously crumbling, a drug deal seemed to be happening at the entrance. I asked if I could park elsewhere but the woman insisted that I give them $150 deposit regardless. For what??? I didn’t want to tie up that money on my card for several days so I offered $150 cash. She refused. Your service is a joke. The people running this hotel are thieves and liars and you allowed them to do it. My trip was ruined.

Changed room 3 times due to water coming from the floor. Elevator broken and inspection is over due. Thermostat barely works and matienace did not know how to set. Had two falls because of water on floor. The only thing positive is probably house keeping they were fast nice and thorough. No breakfast even though it’s advertised. I will never stay here again. And this was my favorite hotel to stay at prior to this experience about a year ago. But now nope

This propert does not offer breakfast & has not for over a year it’s under construction so it’s noisy starting at 7:30 AM and the drilling and the banging does not stop so there is no sleep not to mention, you cannot park in handicap because there was sheet rock and chairs in the handicap parking spot on top of that you had to walk through Halls multiple halls of construction

Location was superb.. 20 a night parking pure atrocious... Would've stayed longer but no way 160 bucks a week for parking

This property was under construction and I was unaware. We were not able to use any amenities on property. No free breakfast, no pool, no nothing but dust. Never again will I stay here

A lot of construction going on. Elevator was out of order. Had no signs to let us know where to go. Just wished someone would have told us how to get to the lobby using the stairs. We got lost a couple of times.

Roaches everywhere inside the hotel room, very dirty. i cant believe a hotel that is well over $120 a night has a roach infestation and act like its normal... its not acceptable. I took alot of pictures of all the roaches but expedia does not have a section for me to add them. if not i would definitely upload them.

I booked a 3 night stay for our family and checked out after an hour! This was THE WORST experience ever! It’s such a shame to have Marriott attached to the name! First there is an unmentioned $18/night parking fee and an unexpected $150 deposit; manageable but STILL; next we booked a 2 bedroom suite with the kitchenette; one word: ROACHES! Well actually 2 words: ROACHES GALORE! As soon as we opened the door a roach was on the wall in the dining area; we killed it but didn’t unpack; went out for food after an 8 hour ride, came back sat at the table and it wasn’t 10 minutes until roaches were crawling all in our plates and coming from under the stove and sink; enough of that though, I called the front desk and was informed there were no other rooms available and he apologized and gave us the option of LEAVING! At 1:00am here we were scrambling to make another reservation at another hotel! NEVER EVER AGAIN! Not to mention, the smell in the hotel is awful and the couch/sofa bed was severely run down and dirty.

It was terrible.no Continental breakfast as was stated on the site. I would've never stayed here knowing I wouldn't be able to eat. I was in town on business with no car meaning no food. The manager and staff were not nice at all. The deposit amounts changed each time I extended. So I end up having to leave. It was a terrible experience I've never been treated so terrible. The room was 312 I was so upset I didn't take pics but it was dirty. It's actually human waste onnthe toilet paper rack. The shower and tub was tapped up. Worst experience and I travel often

Check in good. Breakfast in morning excellent. Room construction not quite finished- vent fan in bathroom hanging from ceiling, bathroom sink faucet loose and bathroom sink drain plug does not work. Construction dust on floor and in closet. Stove cracked. Parts of coffee maker missing (maybe this is on purpose?) Garage kind of a mess with trash, dumpster, and many spots taped off.

The hotel was dirty and smelled very strongly of marijuana. We thought we would check out the room… after having to walk outside and then back into the building, down a long, dark, smelly hallway…we arrived at our room. The carpet was disgusting and saturated with water. The strong mildew smell was overpowering! We requested a king sized bed, but it was a full sized bed…not even a queen. The table and chairs were piled on top of each other in the kitchenette area. We turned around, walked out, and turned our keys in at the front desk immediately. What a waste of money! Ugh!

The place seems to be under renovation but there is no clear sign indicating it's a hotel. I missed my way few times only to find out it's right there. The carpets are old and has moldy smell along the hallway. The room inside is okay. I like that it has a fridge and microwave, comes handy when you have kids with you

Room was very clean, and all staff I encountered over a week long stay (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance) were all helpful and pleasant. Particular shoutout to the maintenance fellow who went to get a fan for me in the gym on a very hot day - above & beyond.

My room smelled like urine and stains in the carpet. Spoke to front desk, they immediately offered me another room which was not much better, hallway carpet had stains, stains on the drapes and carpets. It was late and I was frustrated since I already moved once. I would like a full refund.

Hotel was pretty good. Room was nice. Needed some repair, but you get what you pay for. Nothing we couldn't deal with. Good options for breakfast. Staff was friendly enough.

For where I needed to be, this spot is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean. The parking area entrance is a bit tricky, the door is hard to open especially with luggage in tow. The elevator floor was cracked, I thought it should have been attended to. This was my 2nd stay and I would return.

We didn't realize the property was under construction. The lobby was a temporary structure and the pool was closed. The staff were very friendly, the room was huge and although things were a bit worn, we felt comfortable.

Unlike what the Expedia listing states there is no breakfast buffet. Construction is going on and therefore there is a lot of things happening I suppose. That included 3 out of 4 nights of my stay did not have TV or Wifi. Quite frustrating least to say. No lights or any prominent signs in the front of the hotel. So if you are unfamiliar with that location and if you come in the night you need to slow down a lot to locate the entrance. Very hard to locate even with GPS due to poor lighting. Bad management decision if you ask me. It may have been a good place to stay and it may be a good place to stay after all the Construction work is complete but if I were you I will stay out of this location till the construction is complete or if the management makes some serious changes to keep the overall quality up and not find excuses in the name of construction.

No breakfast due to renovation, dark hallways, only restocks/cleans rooms after 2 days and paid for parking in an old parking garage that had lots of columns and was dimly lit and hard to maneuver. Double beds which were hard

This was my first time staying at this property. The customer service was exceptional, especially from the front desk clerk. I definitely would recommend this location and would stay here again.

We have stayed here before & it has been undergoing a reconstruction project for the past 2 years. Because of this there is no breakfast available-but we knew that when making the reservation. The room was fine,but at 1:30am the nextdoor room had a loud altercation with,shouting,banging on walls & slamming of doors. Although we called the desk 3 times nothing was done. So we have traveled 6 hrs back home on very little sleep. Security needs to be present or there should be some type of policy for the desk to enforce by contacting the police when this happens.

Miss Mimi at the front desk was everything! She was super awesome and accommodating. Her lil frozen juices were a staple for us. My man was obsessed, The only negative is that the email about renovations wasn’t as in depth as it should’ve been. The email didn’t state that complimentary breakfast was no longer being offered during this time, that the pool would be closed entirely and I’m not sure if the Netflix offering was a part of the fall through of renovations but it was on the list of amenities and it was down the entire stay. So we were stuck with one or two channels on repeat of the same movies/shows. That being said, we were able to get our fill of ATL and its attractions. It was just disappointing that I tried to find a hotel specifically that offered breakfast so we could start the days right and one with a pool so I could enjoy it when we got back from our ventures. It was my birthday weekend and I was just a tad disappointed when it came to the hotel, just because it ended up being only a place to sleep and not to relax/enjoy. I am understanding when things are out of anyone’s control but I think the email sent out was a bit deceptive of what and how many amenities/services were actually unavailable. Mimi saved the day, truly. And I can’t be more grateful to be met with accommodations such as no deposit and the free parking. I will certainly return after the renovations are completed.

Our stay at Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead was a horrible experience. we received a last-minute email on our arrival informing us that they wouldn't provide breakfast, which was included in our reservation, due to first-floor construction. I find it hard to believe they had no prior planning for such a major construction and only notified their customers one day before their arrival, leaving no room for them to rearrange their plans. When I asked the front desk staff about the breakfast upon arrival, he looked into my eyes without shame and said, 'We have sent you an email already.' I can't believe that someone can run a business like this. I believe they intentionally sent the email late to prevent their customers from making alternative arrangements. The HVAC fan in our room made a huge noise all night long and didn't stop even for a second, even when we set the thermostat to off. We could hardly fall asleep all night, which ruined our itinerary for the next day. the hotel is worn and old, and the elevator is not safe. The control panel has some broken covers, and the elevator sinks every time you enter or exit. Lastly, the staff was rude and unwelcoming when we checked in. I can't believe this hotel is associated with the Marriott standard. Overall, you can tell there is no honesty, and this was the worst experience we have had with hotels.

This location is great if you'd like a anbience rather than a usual commercial setting...meaning, there seemed absolutely no stores or eateries around. However, you can easily get to Buck Head by a short drive (or a taxi w/ minimum charge). My special thanks go to the young man (forgot to get his name) at the front desk who let me check in super early, after my long hours drive to arrive in ATL ..

Comfortable and safe accommodation with a delicious breakfast.
