Really clean,comfortable and well appointed rooms. Located within yards of a bus stop taking us to the city centre. The TV was a little unreliable- probably due to Wi-Fi connectivity but it wasn’t a big issue. There’s ironing boards and irons but the info sheet didn’t say how to find them - in a cupboard on ground floor for future reference. The property was generally quiet and we felt safe. Just about 10 minutes away walking distance was the Magdalen inn which had great food - maybe a tad pricey for our pockets but nevertheless good. I’m that sane street a lovely bakers and a couple of small coffee shops and a general store - although when we visited they had no milk! We found Royal Cars very reliable when we needed a taxi - not often as the buses were great. A taxi to the station was £8. When planning your visit around Oxford be aware of serious traffic holdups particularly around the evening rush hour.

No parking offered despite 2 or 3 parking places outside of the property. Public parking available 10 mins walk away at an additional cost. Room was very modern and recently renovated. However, the room was small especially the en suite which was so small you couldn’t use the toilet normally without the sink getting in the way. No mirror over the sink which entailed shaving over the toilet. Nowhere to plug in the kettle except on the floor next to the bedside table.

We enjoyed staying here. We chose this location because It was walking distance to our friends house. Although it was on the other side of tge touristy area. Location worked for us. It was walking distance from the main bus stop (St Clements Stop C) - which is where buses from Heathrow Airport typically stop. The place was clean and quiet. There were several other rooms nearby but all guests were respectful. The location is also away from the hustle bustle of Oxford. There is no elevator and we had to take our luggage up the stairs (which we knew). Check in was easy with a Kiosk. We did have an issue with WiFi but were compensated for that by the host. Rooms are small but serve the purpose. Bathroom was clean with a shower (This was absolutely appreciated because lot of places have bathtub that you have to climb in to shower which can be problematic and sometimes dangerous for elderly in the group). We appreciated the standing shower. Traffic in Oxford can be quite backed up so we do recommend walking (even buses can take longer than walking) . Bus stops can be out of service and one would not know unless you download the Oxford Bus app. We walked to the area with the ethnic foods on Cowley Road. There is great variety available . In general area felt very safe and great location with kids to stay

Very nice hotel. Great communication before and during our stay. There’s not a front desk, but there is a very easy check in process. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and in a nice area. If I ever come back to Oxford, would definitely stay again.

It's a clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation, literally at a stone's throw from the bus stop to reach the town centre. I dealt with the staff only via email, but they were very nice and helpful.

Very convenient location and exceptionally clean and well furnished room. Self check in worked well and the team were very accommodating when I messaged or rang them. Would definitely stay here again. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable and the room was perfectly quiet!

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel, it's easy to access the city center and there are great cafes and pubs nearby. It's a self check-in hotel, but the procedure is very easy, we had no problems with that. Also the staff is very nice and kind and it was easy to send them a message and they've replied very quickly. The room was very nice and clean, it had great water pressure in the shower and the bed was comfortable. The only downside for us was that the front door to the property and the doors to the rooms were banging very loudly, if you didn't hold them while closing. We were staying in the room on the first floor just next to the entrance, so we were woken up many times by those doors.

Extremely close to the bus stop in what feels like a very safe neighbourhood. Busing to the city centre takes about 10 minutes, walking is about 30 but it's very flat. Cell reception in the area is not great--I could not access my phone data network easily. Wifi connection is great and the password is posted in the check in area. I was told there would be an information folder in the room but could not find it, however the team quickly sent me a digital copy when I requested. No staff are on site but they responded pretty quickly to direct emails (not as quickly to Expedia messages.) Check in is quick and easy, you enter your information on a kiosk which spits out a room key for you. There is a drop box to leave the key at the end of your stay. The carpet in the hall is pretty stained but hey its where everyone is walking with their shoes on so it can't be helped. Inside the room was pretty clean but there is no mini fridge to keep food or snacks. Soundproofing is not great - you can hear people walking in the hallways and doors opening and closing. I found people were pretty respectful about keeping quiet after 10:30ish. I stayed for 8 days and housekeeping visited once about halfway through my stay. I wish I had been notified about which day they were coming in advance. Overall a good place to stay!

Light, beautifully presented room with fabulous bed and a peaceful, sunny patio. Everything's like new - doors & woodwork, tasteful furniture, super bathroom. Kitchenette with hotplates, microwave, fridge and quality pans etc that are a pleasure to use. Interesting area with great local pub, 10-min walk to neighbourhood bars and loads of Cowley Road shops & eating places, lovely 20-min walk into city, buses right outside. Minor moans: only one (stylish but bulky) seat inside, no hanging rail, noise through walls if your neighbour's a loudmouth or snores...

The room was spacious by Oxford standards and comfortable. Great shower, comfortable bed, quiet (I was on main floor but there was not too much traffic of other guests or I did not hear them). There is a kettle in the room and otherwise you have to eat out as no little fridge or anything, but that's normal. By email, I was able to communicate with management as needed for small things (like change of towels). Everyone very response. 30 min walk to the Oxford college I was working at but I like to walk.

Lovely place. I was on the verge and needed respite for two nights. Room 1 was miraculously available. There is an air of peacefulness in that room - it helped me heal. The place is very clean and the decor is lovely. The room is also a good size. My only suggestion would have been to sort out the doors because they slam shut, but I supposed that's because they are soundproof.

The property was good value for money in a great location I found the property lacked sound proofing, you could hear other guests talking clearly and the doors were difficult to close quietly.

Good location for a short walk in to Oxford. Ideal for a few days away with plently to do in Oxford. We stayed in the studio at the back which looked out on the garden, had a small kitchen, and a bath. Would reccomend staying in either of the back rooms which have outside seating. You can hear people coming and going, and doors as they are heavy in the property, but this did not affect our stay or disturb my sleep. This might be because we stayed at the back of the property on the lower ground floor. Check-in was easy using the kiosk, you will recevie a code a week before your stay which you type onscreen and your keycard is generated. The property are then contactable via Expedia, an email, or by phone with prompt responce times.

La chambre bien que petite est confortable. La salle de douche est minuscule mais cela va pour un cours séjour. L'équipement est complet. Toutefois il n'y a pas de miroir au dessus du bureau ce qui ne permet pas l'utilisation d'un sèche cheveux. Il y a bien une grande glace en pied dans le couloir mais pas de prise de courant. Je suggère de placer un miroir pivotant devant la télévision ce qui permettrait les deux fonctions. Le couloir reste allumé toute la nuit et comme la porte d'entrée n'est pas entourée par un joint, il y a en permanence une lumière de veilleuse dans la chambre. De même les rideaux ne sont pas assez occultants et le jour m'a réveillé de bonne heure. J'ai résolu la difficulté en portant un masque et j'ai très bien dormi au calme dans cette chambre refaite à neuf. L'environnement est agréable toutefois le jardin sur le devant est un peu à l'abandon et mériterait quelques arbustes à fleurs comme on en voit beaucoup dans Oxford. Je déconseille la chambre du rez de chaussée coté rue à cause de la rangée de poubelles sous la fenêtre. La encore un petite haie de buissons bien taillés pour cacher les poubelles serait la bienvenue.

Location is great (walk to Oxford town Center in 10 minutes). Property was clean and easy checkin. There is not air conditioning at the property, which is fine. However, there are also no fans and Iffley Road is very loud so having windows open not great. Would recommend placing portable fans in each room. It was not a pleasant experience when the temperature hit 30c.

Overall our stay was great. We slept ok. Our room overlooked the garden and was comfortable and quiet. The only thing we didn’t like was that the room wasn’t serviced during our stay (4 nights). This meant that we ran out of milk sachets for coffee on our second day & they weren’t topped up. Had there been a mini fridge in the room, we could have bought a carton of milk from the supermarket & it would have kept fresh in the fridge.
Overall our stay was great. We slept ok. Our room overlooked the garden and was comfortable and quiet. The only thing we didn’t like was that the room wasn’t serviced during our stay (4 nights). This meant that we ran out of milk sachets for coffee on our second day & they weren’t topped up. Had there been a mini fridge in the room, we could have bought a carton of milk from the supermarket & it would have kept fresh in the fridge.

The Iffley Road location was handy for both Cowley Road and the towpath. It takes a half-hour or so to walk into the city centre and there is a good bus service if you don't fancy walking. Very nice hotel. Great communication before and during our stay. There’s not a front desk, but there is a very easy check in process. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and in a nice area. If I ever come back to Oxford, would definitely stay again.

Very convenient location and exceptionally clean and well furnished room. Self check in worked well and the team were very accommodating when I messaged or rang them. Would definitely stay here again. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable and the room was perfectly quiet!

Wonderful place to stay! Excellent communication with customer service team. Very clean, bright, and fresh. Easy to walk to the city center but away from the noise and traffic.

Extremely close to the bus stop in what feels like a very safe neighbourhood. Busing to the city centre takes about 10 minutes, walking is about 30 but it's very flat. Cell reception in the area is not great--I could not access my phone data network easily. Wifi connection is great and the password is posted in the check in area. I was told there would be an information folder in the room but could not find it, however the team quickly sent me a digital copy when I requested. No staff are on site but they responded pretty quickly to direct emails (not as quickly to Expedia messages.) Check in is quick and easy, you enter your information on a kiosk which spits out a room key for you. There is a drop box to leave the key at the end of your stay. The carpet in the hall is pretty stained but hey its where everyone is walking with their shoes on so it can't be helped. Inside the room was pretty clean but there is no mini fridge to keep food or snacks. Soundproofing is not great - you can hear people walking in the hallways and doors opening and closing. I found people were pretty respectful about keeping quiet after 10:30ish. I stayed for 8 days and housekeeping visited once about halfway through my stay. I wish I had been notified about which day they were coming in advance. Overall a good place to stay!

Really clean,comfortable and well appointed rooms. Located within yards of a bus stop taking us to the city centre. The TV was a little unreliable- probably due to Wi-Fi connectivity but it wasn’t a big issue. There’s ironing boards and irons but the info sheet didn’t say how to find them - in a cupboard on ground floor for future reference. The property was generally quiet and we felt safe. Just about 10 minutes away walking distance was the Magdalen inn which had great food - maybe a tad pricey for our pockets but nevertheless good. I’m that sane street a lovely bakers and a couple of small coffee shops and a general store - although when we visited they had no milk! We found Royal Cars very reliable when we needed a taxi - not often as the buses were great. A taxi to the station was £8. When planning your visit around Oxford be aware of serious traffic holdups particularly around the evening rush hour.

Good location for a short walk in to Oxford. Ideal for a few days away with plently to do in Oxford. We stayed in the studio at the back which looked out on the garden, had a small kitchen, and a bath. Would reccomend staying in either of the back rooms which have outside seating. You can hear people coming and going, and doors as they are heavy in the property, but this did not affect our stay or disturb my sleep. This might be because we stayed at the back of the property on the lower ground floor. Check-in was easy using the kiosk, you will recevie a code a week before your stay which you type onscreen and your keycard is generated. The property are then contactable via Expedia, an email, or by phone with prompt responce times.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel, it's easy to access the city center and there are great cafes and pubs nearby. It's a self check-in hotel, but the procedure is very easy, we had no problems with that. Also the staff is very nice and kind and it was easy to send them a message and they've replied very quickly. The room was very nice and clean, it had great water pressure in the shower and the bed was comfortable. The only downside for us was that the front door to the property and the doors to the rooms were banging very loudly, if you didn't hold them while closing. We were staying in the room on the first floor just next to the entrance, so we were woken up many times by those doors.

We enjoyed staying here. We chose this location because It was walking distance to our friends house. Although it was on the other side of tge touristy area. Location worked for us. It was walking distance from the main bus stop (St Clements Stop C) - which is where buses from Heathrow Airport typically stop. The place was clean and quiet. There were several other rooms nearby but all guests were respectful. The location is also away from the hustle bustle of Oxford. There is no elevator and we had to take our luggage up the stairs (which we knew). Check in was easy with a Kiosk. We did have an issue with WiFi but were compensated for that by the host. Rooms are small but serve the purpose. Bathroom was clean with a shower (This was absolutely appreciated because lot of places have bathtub that you have to climb in to shower which can be problematic and sometimes dangerous for elderly in the group). We appreciated the standing shower. Traffic in Oxford can be quite backed up so we do recommend walking (even buses can take longer than walking) . Bus stops can be out of service and one would not know unless you download the Oxford Bus app. We walked to the area with the ethnic foods on Cowley Road. There is great variety available . In general area felt very safe and great location with kids to stay

Stayed in room 3 for 2 nights, the room was clean and modern, but the tv didn’t have a remote control available and when a replacement was provided the tv still wouldn’t work. Thats why I’ve given 4 stars and not 5.

I stayed during a heatwave. My room had something that appeared to be an electric fan, but no matter how much I fiddled with the contols, I could do no more than get the motor to run. I don’t know whether the machine was a fan or a heater, but, either way, there should have been a functioning fan. Brushing off the circumstances as unprecedented, as the management did, fails to recognize that hot, muggy days and nights in Oxford have happened before and will again. I did not appreciate management's repeatedly addressing me by my surname without an honorific. Clearly, they don’t care about treating their guests with respect. Lastly, the checkin system is cumbersome. The machine is a small area that cannot accommodate anyone checking in with luggage and anothe guest trying to enter or exit.

Nice neighbourhood, responsive personel, but: prepare not to sleep much. Room 3 was right next to an inside fire door, which makes a lot of noise when people get in at night or leave early morning.

*There is NO parking here, the closest car park being a 10-minute walk through neighborhoods.* Our visit here was fine, with clean and comfortable beds. Kettle and tea/coffee packets were provided but no small refrigerator like other places we’ve stayed. There was a small fan to help with the hot weather but it still wasn’t enough to add comfort to the room.

Second time we’ve stayed here and it’s become the preferred option for visiting friends who live nearby in Oxford. It’s recently renovated, super clean and very comfortable. It’s self checkin but lots of comms from staff and a very straightforward process. Also found staff to be very responsive when messaging to arrange a late checkout. Rooms might be a bit small for a multi day stay, but for one or two nights it’s perfect. Near a bus stop with connections to city centre and train station, easily walkable to restaurants, bars and cafes around Iffley and Cowley Road.
