Convenient location and a fairly easy drive into downtown ATL. Hotel had some renovations happening on the outside facade. Breakfast was good! We booked a king room and had plenty of space. Two issues we encountered though: 1 (not the hotel's fault) a storm rolled through and the power went out in the surrounding blocks. However, none of the staffed informed us until we got back to the hotel - a courtesy call or text would have been appreciated. 2) we brought breakfast up to our room to eat while we were getting ready for the day. Left the empty plate on the desk. When we came back in the late evening though, there were tiny ants all over the desk and plate. We let the front desk know and asked if someone could address it but it wouldn't be till morning unless we wanted to pack all our stuff up and move rooms (we were unloaded from dragon con so moving rooms was not going to happen). We ended up sprayed the ants and desk ourselves with hairspray and asked again in the morning for someone to come.When we got back in the evening, it looked like housekeeping came but the dead ants we killed were still there so that means they didn't clean the area or spray as we still saw a couple ants. Maybe the rain brought them in but we were on the 3rd floor and they were coming out of the divider baseboard, away from the window and door.

Pros: spacious and modern rooms, free hot breakfast bar and airport shuttle. I chose it for two reason, it’s one of the only airport hotels that includes parking in the nightly rate and it has a pool. Unfortunately, the pool was not open which was not indicated on the website when I booked. Also a fire alarm woke me up one morning and the hotel staff did not communicate what was happening. Once I found out it was a false alarm I walked around to the other side of the hotel tell all the people who had evacuate and were waiting outside in their pajamas!
