Property was clean except for a small issue in the bathtub which was taken care of in a timely manner. Staff was very responsive even though they are not on site. I gave a 4 star for property only because it could do with a little updating. But for my purposes and the cost, it was perfect. Location was great, was able to walk into town for my meals, wished I had more time to explore town, the shops looked interesting. Easy drive to The Wild Center which was my main objective. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Nice motel good for traveling on budget. No staff at property, you can reach them by text or phone only. They need to add lights for nighttime access to the rooms. Room was clean.

OK, look, it's not new. Nothing there is pristine, like at the Hilton I stayed at in the week before I stayed at the Ashley. However, my room was clean, the towels were plentiful, the bed was comfortable. There is a welcoming, neighborly feel about the whole property. I would definately book another stay. Indeed, I probably will do so soon.

My family spent the weekend in Saranac lake. The Ashley turned out to be a nice enough "guest house". They do not a staffed office on site. Check-in, payments, and check-out are handled via texts (which is not very personable). The property is in a very convenient location. Several near-by restaurants, parks and local attractions are in easy walking distance from the Ashley. The property is dated but in good repair. Everything in our rooms was clean and well maintained. The bed was more comfortable that it looked. Only downside for us was that our air conditioner was really noisy (so we turned it off at night and opened a window).

Room was old and could use some updates. Unstaffed property, but responsive when something was needed. Love the concept of small cottage with shared kitchen if needed. Exterior would benefit from a serious powerwash and lawn mowing/landscaping! Walkable to restuarant and convenience store. Overall experience was positive.
