The grounds were dirty and not mowed or trimmed. Windows did not have black out shades. No ice maker or water cooler. Only one pillow per person. Very private, great internet, great tv. Good AC, great location, easy to find Outside seating area had cigarette butts in ashtray.

The Ashley provided a clean and comfortable room that served us well for our needs. The working air conditioner was a godsend in this heat, as we were traveling by motorcycle. The staff we met were sweet and accommodating. Location was perfect for our day trips to Tupper and Placid. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location. A little worn in some places, but clean . A typical lakeside or mountain motel . The bed felt new. It was firm memory foam. What I noticed especially what was the room was not moldy and that's a big thing for me. I would stay there again

Great place to stay for decent price in Saranac Lake. Walking distance to downtown, partial lake view, nice restaurant around. Perfect location to go hiking in the area:) There is also a mini-fridge and coffee maker, which was appreciated.

Great place to stay, serve its purpose very well. Bed was super comfortable, having netflix accessible on the TV was a plus. Coffee machine worked well. 5min walk from the Fuzion market where you can grab some breakfast sandwich to-go. Can't believe I am going to say this, but there might be too much pressure in the shower head lol Will def book again.

This is a very old property. Rustic is a good word. This is a long way from 5 stars, but it did the job. It was way overpriced. It looks quaint and charming online, but reality hits you the moment you open the door. You could probably find something much better for the price we paid. The best asset was the mattress. We slept like babies on it, which was a huge win by itself.

The room was fine, nothing special but acceptable. EXCEPT - There was no heat, and by morning the temp outside was in the 20s, so we were shivering in our room; and the mattress was old and uncomfortable. Also, our room was right on the busy street - not a problem itself except that there were blinds but no curtains on the windows, so we felt too exposed.

Super convenient, property manager was very friendly over the phone. No staff on property so check in/out is just grab the key when you arrive and leave it before you go. Would recommend/stay again

OK, look, it's not new. Nothing there is pristine, like at the Hilton I stayed at in the week before I stayed at the Ashley. However, my room was clean, the towels were plentiful, the bed was comfortable. There is a welcoming, neighborly feel about the whole property. I would definately book another stay. Indeed, I probably will do so soon.

My family spent the weekend in Saranac lake. The Ashley turned out to be a nice enough "guest house". They do not a staffed office on site. Check-in, payments, and check-out are handled via texts (which is not very personable). The property is in a very convenient location. Several near-by restaurants, parks and local attractions are in easy walking distance from the Ashley. The property is dated but in good repair. Everything in our rooms was clean and well maintained. The bed was more comfortable that it looked. Only downside for us was that our air conditioner was really noisy (so we turned it off at night and opened a window).

Room was old and could use some updates. Unstaffed property, but responsive when something was needed. Love the concept of small cottage with shared kitchen if needed. Exterior would benefit from a serious powerwash and lawn mowing/landscaping! Walkable to restuarant and convenience store. Overall experience was positive.
