Property was older but nicely done. One elevator didn’t work. Some of the stuff in the gym didn’t work. Housekeeping was good. Snack room was well done and reasonable for a hotel.

We always stay in this area when we drive through. Never had any problems before but it would have been nice to know the hotel was under construction. It smelled like wet paint throughout the entire hotel, excavators and dust everywhere.

We stayed for 4 nights and our room was never fully cleaned. The trash was never emptied the entire time we were there. One time, the beds were made and if we wanted new towels, we had to ask for them. The front desk people did not seem to be able to answer our questions, and in fact, one guy even told us he "doesn't really work here" (even though he was behind the front counter). I was expecting the pool to be open, which is part of the reason I booked the hotel, but the gate was locked. When we asked, no one could tell us whether the pool could be accessed or not. Also, it took 2 days for someone to come and open the safe that was locked by the customers who had our room prior to us. The one positive thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable. Overall, our visit was below average and I would not recommend staying here. Next time, for a little more money, we'll choose a higher quality hotel in the area. I hope this is helpful feedback.

Wasn’t made aware that the elevator wasn’t in working condition. So half of the time we were there I had to take stairs which not to mention from the 6th floor. My mother also has a bone disease and some days it’s hard on her knee so that took a toll on her with not being able to use the elevators so not real Handicap Accessible place this past weekend. Black Mold underneath the bathroom sink. Then my 4 year old was walking in front of me which was one of the stair events not knowing where the wet paint may be without signage posted he grabbed the rail and got his jacket covered in paint. After all of this I went to the front desk and voiced how frustrating this stay was for not only me but my family and the manager agreed to load 5,000 points to my account which isn’t really equivalent to a one night stay. I’m home now 8 hours away only to look at my account and I have 2,000 points what a slap in the face…..

The room was clean, needed drapes to keep out the light from the parking lot. The business computer in the lobby was not in operation for the 5 days that I stayed at the hotel. The staff was nice; however, they knew nothing about the computer.

This property needs a lot of work. Maintenance and cleaning is subpar. Upon check-in, I noticed the ceiling at the desk was leaking. There was a puddle of water on the floor and the ceiling looked like it was going to cave in. I was sure to alert the staff as they were not aware though it was right in front of their faces. When we walked into our room, it smelled like crap and feet. The room was stuffy and had not been cleaned properly. There was hair in the sink and toilet. The shower curtain smelled like musty mildew. The ceiling had water stains, doors and walls had some damage. The shower was not clean and there were stains on the curtains at the window. I absolutely love staying at Holiday Inn Express as they tend to be above the standard in my opinion. I’m not sure if this particular location is independently owned and operated (seemingly) but if so, the leadership here really needs to invest in proper maintenance and cleanliness of this property. We opted to check out days early to relocate to the Woodstock property (which was a stark, delightful contrast). We absolutely WILL NOT be staying at this location again. Pros: Convenient and walkable to restaurants and shopping. Right off the exit on I-75.

The man and the lady at the front desk tried to tell me they were $30 more per night than what I paid. Refused then told me they were completely booked only to have another reservation online. Then he places us in the corner room by the stairs. We couldn’t sleep at all from the stairs and the loud closing of the door. We saw 4 baby roaches in our bathroom and the shower would not get hot at all and tub wouldn’t plug. Terrible to be such a pretty hotel

This is a convenient location if you want access to shopping and restaurants, but it’s clearly a very old hotel. The lobby was normal enough, but our room had stains all over the carpet and what looked like old water leak spots on the the ceiling and walls. If the bed had seemed questionable at all, I would have asked for a refund. The bed seemed clean, and the employees were nice. The tv had very limited channels and wasn’t a smart tv to be able to stream anything. If street traffic will keep you awake, this isn’t a good location for you.

Very convenient to major highways and interstates. Disappointed in cleanliness and overall condition of room. Bathroom grout was missing, rust in areas, shower door did not glide easily and carpet in room was stained and smelly. AC was loud and so was toilet after flushing.

most things were very normal for this brand. I was not able to connect laptop or phones to the internet. Staff offered a phone number for help. No one answered the phone. Staff offered no other suggestions. VERY INCONVENIENT !!!

Check in was slow, but not necessarily the fault of the staff, there was a large work crew checking in. Again, no issue with that either…except that the work crew came in multiple vehicles…which all parked under the entrance…in the rain…blocking all other check in parties, including an elderly couple with a wheelchair. When situations like this arise, it would be great if the staff stepped up and indicated that it would be helpful for the construction crew to remove their vehicles and personnel from the area so that others can come in.

I always stay at this location due to the friendly staff and the wonderful young lady who prepares the breakfast. This stay was completely different. Normally there is one out of the two elevators are not working. This stay, both elevators were out of service. The Young man that works the afternoon to evening shift was completely rude. I have had some issues with him before, but I have just come to terms that he is not adequate with customer service. He was very rude to the elderly people who needed help with their luggage. He spoke loudly to us and a terrible attitude. He was not pleasant at all. We could not cancel our stay due to booking online. Also the heat was very low and it was 26 degrees outside. They said that we could move but would have to carry our four luggage to a higher floor level. We had to use our cell phones to make outbound calls, including to the front desk. The young lady stated that they could not fix that until the next day. I ask could we speak with the manager in the morning. She responded that we could come downstairs when he arrives after 9am. Of course the young lady who prepares the breakfast was pleasant as usual and housekeeping. This stay has really changed our minds about rebooking here.

Trouble checking in. Said my master card didn't work. I paid thru Orbitz with an American Express. Whole ordeal for 30 minutes. Manager said employee named Lisa tried to raise my rate. Not fun. Late for my meeting. Not very happy about it

Arrived at the property to check in and was told that they were overbooked and had no rooms, I paid for the hotel one week previous. The hotel receptionist was not interested in helping but after me demonstrating that I paid for the hotel one week before, showing payment had left by bank, they then found a room for us (2 x queen bed room). The whole experience was bizarre, had no rooms then find us one after over 20mins! Would never stay at this hotel again

Wife fell in a freshly mopped elevator with no wet floor sign management handled it terribly only checked in on us later to make sure we didn’t sue they asked how she was I said bruised and very sore, their response was “ glad she’s ok “ I guess I expected a free room at the least not trying to get free things but the gesture at least would be nice. The cleaning lady literally laughed when we told her what happened but I believe that was only because she didn’t speak English and it was a natural response the man cleaning the lobby when we did get off the elevator at the bottom just wanted to assure us he was dry mopping. Want to say my wife is not elderly not obese and was wearing tennis shoes at the time.

Convenient location. A little dated but you can tell efforts have been made to update. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Some noise issues-person in room above was stomping around and people in the hallway were loud early in the morning but not the hotels fault.

Asked for a pillow since we were utilizing the pull out couch and was told they do not give out pillows. Breakfast was a let down. Pancake machine broken, oj watered down, all sausage had the hardest skin, both types of omelets tasted terrible, etc etc. Not our greatest experience with Holiday Inn.

Checked in late in the evening. Room was hot and the air conditioner said that it was controlled from the thermostat on the wall. Checked the thermostat and there were no batteries. Installed my own batteries and still no air conditioning. Open the cover and it turns out that you can control from the wall unit itself. The phone in the room did not work, so we could not contact the front desk directly and had to use our cell phones. The entire building is being remodeled. The remodel crew is using the main elevators, moving large furniture up and down while all the customers are trying to access the building, or leave, and are unable to do so. The tv does not work properly, constantly going on/off, while many of the stations programmed are static and it was the smallest tv in a hotel unit that I have seen in over a decade. The hot water took 10 minutes to get to my shower and was only ever lukewarm. The included breakfast was cold, especially the potatoes. The last issue encountered during the stay was the overwhelming smell of drugs being used in the building and filling the entire hallway, even into my room.

Great location.. but make sure to wake up early if you want breakfast , they run out breakfast at 8:00am … supposed to be open until 9:30/ The location is great because has a lot of restaurant options around. The ice maker didn’t work.

The hotel is clean and nice. Breakfast was very good. It was very busy and the lady at the breakfast area was very tentative and efficient , refilling the foos for us. We used the exercise room and it was well equipped ans kept very clean as well.

The hotel itself was fine. The traffic noise at the back of the hotel (where we were) was horrendous. It backs up to I75 and you hear crotch rockets ALL night long.

The facilities and our room were acceptably clean, but we found used water bottles and previous travelers’ clothing under the furniture. The outdoor pool area was nice, and we enjoyed swimming there. However, breakfast was a disappointment. We made sure we came down more than 45 minutes before breakfast service closed, but many of the food trays were empty and were not refilled, and the ones which still had food seemed to have been sitting a while. There was also no orange juice. While we were there, the pastries were refilled, but the “new” ones were frozen solid, and the employee placed them with bare hands.
