Hampton Inn Waycross

The pool was not available which is why we booked this hotel. No communication prior to arrival the pool was not open and no discount given for the inconvenience.

Hotel under renovation construction. Limited parking available.

We evacuted to this hotel from hurricane Helene. They lost power when the storm hit, but the staff was excellent before, and after, the storm. The only reasons I gave it 4 stars was the shower head was in bad need of repair or replacement, and there were no emergency lights in the hallways or stairways, which seemed a bit unsafe. Overall, this is a great hotel. The staff was wonderful. There are also good dining options close by.

The only disappointment it advertised pool available. However upon check in pool is closed and no water in the pool.

We booked this hotel for two nights. One person working the front desk. No housekeeping for two nights. We had to go down and get additional towels. They put us right off of the second floor elevator in a handicapped room. None of us are handicapped. Before 8 a.m. on Monday morning, the construction workers were banging on our walls waking us up. NO WHERE when I booked this hotel did it say it was under construction and lightly staffed. The only positive note I can write is that the limited staff that was there was polite and friendly. It would have been nice of us to let us know about the construction. Two nights for over $300 for noise, construction, and an inferior room seems very expensive. You won't fool me twice ...

It was clean. There was a situation where another guest a few rooms down had a dog who barked continuously. Our room was quite noisy. We could hear traffic and trains and guests and employees talking constantly. The breakfast provided was quite scant in my opinion. The Drury Hotels have a much better and varied offering. When we went to check out, the elevator wasn’t working. There was only one guest elevator. We had to carry our luggage down the stairs for the first load. The stairs weren’t located centrally but off to the side of the building. We managed to find someone who worked the front desk. She grabbed a set of keys and said she knew what to do. We had to wait while she found the right key to get into a room to locate the problem. It sounded as if she flipped a switch. She did something and then said that now the elevator would work. Obviously this was a known problem. A non-working elevator in a small hotel should not be allowed for safety reasons. We will not be going back to that hotel again.

The entire bottom floor and stairwell was under renovation. Would not have booked had I known this. The smell of paint was stong. Dust was everywhere. Breakfast had to be moved to the second floor. The parking lot spaces were blocked with storage bins, trash receptacles and contractor trucks. It was a pretty aweful experience.

The pool was out of order and it was difficult to access the Wi-Fi. Otherwise very comfortable bed and breakfast was decent.

Marvin is outstanding! He was friendly, helpful and made our arrival and stay even better! The facility is well cared for and the room and amenities were great! Continental breakfast was really good! Would absolutely stay again!

It was clean no issues

The property was dirty and needed a deep clean. My Tv didn’t work because someone had stolen the HDMI cord. Staff did fix the tv only to realize the remote didn’t work so I had to change Chanel’s by hand. Under the bed was filthy. And there were no safety strips in the shower.

For a small town, hotel was right in the center of everything. Next to all the restaurants and shops. Hotel itself was nice, clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was great.

Another excellent Hampton Inn. We have only just recently started staying in Hampton Inns and this one, like others we have stayed in, is clean, comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Serves a decent breakfast to help start the day as well.

Me and my fiancé stood here for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also liked that it’s close to the movie theater and there was a lot of restaurants nearby.

The room was large and bright. But, it could have been a bit cleaner. The continental breakfast was marginal. Lots of dinning options close.

Below average for a Hampton. In room, Rusted light fixtures, dirty carpet, dirty phone. Room had a musty odor. Faucet in bathroom needed cleaning. Lobby, front desk and breakfast area seemed renovated.

A group of baseball families stayed at this hotel while in Waycross for a baseball tournament nearby. When arriving in our room, I noticed a musty smell almost as if the carpets had gotten wet and were giving off a sour smell. We would only be staying one night so it wasn't worth making a big fuss about. As soon as my son opened up the lid to the toilet, there were drain flies that flew out. We pulled out the couch bed and there were no sheets or other covers in the room for that bed. There were also shells of pistachio nuts that someone had left behind from a previous stay. It was clear that the housekeeping personnel did not bother to clean this area. The breakfast was fine and the kids enjoyed it. Another family with our group stayed two nights at this hotel. The mother noticed bed bug bites all over her body after their stay. I work in healthcare and I know the procedures that are required when treating for bed bugs. This room should have never been given to anyone until it had been fumigated. I will certainly not be staying at this hotel again.

I would've rated this hotel 1 star, but the staff was nice. We were uncomfortable the entire stay. The air was on full blast 67° and would not adjust. Turned off the air and condensation appeared all over the room. So much so the floors, walls, and everything inside was wet. The front desk said every room was the same and we needed to leave the air conditioner on. Curtains filthy. Window sills mildew. Stains in the tub and toilet. Dingy old towels. This was the worst stay. The Fairfield Inn is opening down the street soon, so we will stay there next time. Highly disappointed.

My husband and I liked everything except a few things about the room - it was not the fault of the employees - I think these were corporate decisions. There was no dressers, of any kind in the room. It seemed to be some oversize because there was space for one. I went to the front desk to inquire about it and they confirmed this was so, they even looked surprised at my question. "But where is someone supposed to keep things like socks, underwear and such?" They could provide no answer. There was a series of wire baskets, but they had such wide spacing between the "weave" (they looked more like free fruit baskets) that things could easily fall through. no substitute for a proper dresser. I also did not like the sliding barn door that served as a door to the bathroom and the closet. I don't believe they really thought about this design. With only one bathroom, a couple needs access to both places, each taking turns in one or the other when getting ready to go out. They also had housekeeping come in every other day, so there were no fresh towels each day. It is hot in Georgia, and certainly we managed without fresh towels, and we could have asked for them if it was really an issue. I just surprised me. It least they might have left some spares for the next day in the bathroom. service was nice, friendly and professional. Breakfast had a nice variety, and the rooms were wonderfully clean.

Smaller rooms than previous hotels we’ve stayed. Unfolded towel had been left in the bathroom. Pillows are super flat so they’re folded into square pillows which then also makes them really small. Heavily touched areas still had fingerprints, etc on them. Tv didn’t work right. Our room door didn’t shut all the way unless pushed. Staff was nice tho

While the hotel location was convenient and the overall appearance was good the room was a disappointment. We were given a handicapped accessible room with a walk in shower. The edge of the shower where the shower floor meets the tile floor was deteriorating. The shower spray was weak. Switching to a stronger spray caused water to spill onto the bathroom floor. Any Hampton I stayed in before had a beautiful bathroom/shower. This was so disappointing after a very long day of driving.

It looked old and needed an update. Air conditioning didn’t work properly will not be returning.

A train ran every hr and blew horn every time! Should have been warned.

Problems with the a/c

Room was very comfortable, however had issues with 2nd key fob not working, room phone not working, TV and remote not working.

The Hotel was clean, but it is very dated. The little barrier to the shower was worn out and the paint flaking off. The rail for barn door style bathroom door was in bad condition. The door stop was half way pulled out the wall.

The pool was out of order and it was difficult to access the Wi-Fi. Otherwise very comfortable bed and breakfast was decent.

I loved the kindness of the staff and the location was in a perfect spot.

Great place to stay. The only issues were house keeping kept knocking on the door every 30 minutes starting at 9 a.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m.

The staff was exceptionally helpful (I believe the front desk associate was Arianna) and friendly. The location and room amenities were perfect for what we needed. My daughter and I have severe wheat allergies (celiac). We were able to eat eggs and sausage and yogurt. It would be great if you could add extra gf options. It was overall a wonderful experience.

So far so good, check in was a breeze with very friendly AMERICAN staff.

Hotel cancelled reservation last minute due to over booking and cancelled the third party reservations without explanation

Property was clean and everyone was friendly and nice but if you are not out of your room by 10 am put the sign out because housekeeping burst in my room and my family room before we could even let them know that we were still in the room and check isn't until 11a.m. but other then that it was a great stay and will book again with a big sign on my door next time lol

Also, when i got into the shower it was so slick i had to grab the bar to avoid falling. Chemicals they used to clean it was still on it. The pillows are way too small for adults. Four pillows equal the size of one large pillow. Other than that, it was a good stay.
