It was a clean, lovely motel. Great continental breakfast and coffee area! It really does need an elevator though, as hard for people with disabilities to get upstairs. Also, the hot tub was broken down.

Motorcycle ABATE Rally going in Algona and coffee machine and ice machine are not working. I'm moving to a different motel this morning.

Paid for a suite but fireplace didn't work and light switch at door was nonfunctional. On line indicates a workout center but there is none. Also indicates bar on premise, which there is, however not functional.

Pool was cold. Hot tub was luke warm

I\'ll start with good. The pool was nice. Thats it. The hot tub was broken. The room was filthy, other people\'s hair in the bathroom, the floor around nd the toilet was disgusting, the last people\'s trash was still there. And in the middle of the night an alarm went off in our room, scaring us, waking us. When i complained in the morning I was told it was the humidity. Also our room was advertised as "soundproof" which was a selling point. It was not soundproof. Very, very disappointed and won\'t ever be back.

Basic hotel. The room I had smelled wet and musty. The shower nozzle wasn’t installed properly and sprayed into the bathroom area when turned on. Ice machine never worked. Neither did the soda machine. My door to my room was hard to open and close making it very loud to do either. Staff was very friendly though.

Our stay was good, however the hot tub in pool area was not working again. That’s 3rd out of 5 times staying there it hasn’t worked. That’s one of the main reasons I book that hotel.

Room was nice, but went to go have a couple drinks at the bar and no one was there. We waited a good 15-20min before going to hyvee and instead had drinks in our room.

The room was cold because the a/c was on when it was below 50 degrees outside; when turned it to heat, smelled like burnt dust. There were some kind of bugs in the bathroom mainly; killed several. And there were what looked like toenail clippings on the carpet near the bathroom. Otherwise, it was clean but they definitely need an exterminator. Will never use this hotel again.

Our bathroom has black mold on almost every single ceiling tile & the room smelled dirty and like tobacco. We also had several ladybugs all over the ceiling in the room. The microwave is extremely outdated & so is the tv. It just did not feel clean or updated.

Horrible. Room was dirty, walls, mirrors and toliet all had remnants of staining. TV not working... turned around and left feeling bad karma. Rude front desk employee would not refund our payment.

BEDBUGS!! They guy at the desk was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Made sure to let us as well as the fella ahead of us know we are an inconvenience especially because we booked 3rd party. When doing the room walkthrough I discovered bedbugs. I went to the desk retunrned the keys and asked for a refund. I was told he can only cancel the reservation. He stated I will have to fight with my 3rd party (Expedia) to get a refund.

Dried spots on sheets and pillowcases. Dirty hand prints on bathroom walls

Very clean facility. Pool was clean and wonderfully warm. Staff was very friendly and the breakfasts were great.

Nice breakfast, clean dining area My bathtub was dirty, the corners of the room were dirty, the room gave me the creeps.

Sink didn’t drain well and there was a used bar of soap in the shower

Bathroom was not cleaned. Toilet was noticably used and floors were not vacuumed. We laid towels on the floor to walk just in case. White stain on carpet was noticable furniture was in rough repair. Hallways or back exit areas were not vacuumed.

Quietist hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Super clean. Great staff.

It was clean and quiet. The only issue we had was that our TV in room 125 did not work well. It seemed to have an issue where the power cord plugged in to it.

Our room needed a new air conditioner. It was very noisy and didn't cool as well as expected.

Rooms are updated, nice, and clean. I didn't find the bed to be as comfortable . Hot tub was closed 😔as some

When we opened the door to our room and walked in, instantly we all could smell a very bad musky odor that smelled like mold. I immediately went to the front desk to report what we could smell the front desk assistant went to the back room and came back out and tried to hand me some air freshener. I asked him what would you like me to do with the air freshener and he said well you could spray it and then it wouldn’t smell like mold. Explain to him, that’s not how you get rid of the smell as I would like a new room due to the fact that I’m allergic to mold and I have a eight-year-old son that is severe cardiac. The clerk was very confused as I had to explain to him that I needed a different room or I would not be able to stay in his hotel. He gave me a room with one bed for four people, as he never apologized was very rude and mad that he had to look for a new room Didn’t even offer me a rollaway bed. I had to ask for one as we were waiting for the new room we were sitting in the waiting area. He gave us keys. We went into the new room as it was fine, but then I still had to go ask for a rollaway bed , then when I asked for a rollaway bed, he said I’m sorry. Could I switch you to a different room which was the same thing one for four people very irritating. We stayed two night as for the second night I had to ask for a room with two beds again no apologies nothing. Then the 2nd night a fight broke out in the hallway around 3am waking up my whole family. We had to call local

The breakfast was very good, with a full range of standard options (including sausage and eggs) despite it being a weekday in Algona, Iowa. The staff was friendly & accomodating. Very pleasant experience.

We were crunched for time and allowed to check in early. Yes 10.00 charge but it was worth it us. We stayed here 2 yrs ago and will continue to stay here when visiting family in the area. Service top notch.

Walked in and was fussed at for using Expedia. I asked for early check in and the guy had no clue. Thankfully the room was ready. Got to the room and the fireplace doesn’t work. The door also had a crack that you could see into the hallway between the frame and the door. Staff was rude the whole time and hardly ever looked us in the face or spoke to us unless spoken to. Didn’t charge us for a hold the first two nights but put a hold on for the third night. Then after we left they tried 3 times in as many hours to charge us an additional $50. Room wasn’t bad but not great. Hair in the bathtub and an empty alcohol bottle in a side table. They also won’t drop the hold on the card without stating why. Pool was also freezing and the jacuzzi didn’t work properly. We were not notified about the jacuzzi. The “bar” that they advertise for is drinks in a cooler behind the counter. No lounge like advertised and they didn’t have everything they advertised for. The lady clearly didn’t know what we were asking for. Also was accused of smoking very rudely.

Staff was rude, came to our room and accused us of smoking, going so far as to threaten to call the fire department. They could have happily done so as nobody was smoking in the room. We did have to walk past people smoking directly outside the front doors nearly every night of our stay however. Moreover, they tried to upcharge the room we got on Expedia saying “it’s the wrong SKU” despite it being THE SAME ROOM we were in from my wife’s prior booking, with the same listing. If you have no other options, and there is fire raining from the sky, stay someplace else

We were put in a room that seemed to be crumbling with age. The TV console dresser looked like it was falling apart, there were rust stains in the bathroom, in the whole room smelled of mildew. We were only there for a couple of days so we put up the tag that said do not disturb (yes, it was absolutely the side that said do not disturb) and we had left some clothing on our bed because of it- and when we came back that night- even with the same side of the tag hanging on the door, and walked into the room the bed had been made which made my wife and I very uncomfortable that someone had completely ignored the sign the hotel provided and touched our personal items. The only space in the hotel that was actually clean was the breakfast area, but the other hotel guests were very rude. Sky at the front desk was helpful as was the woman running the breakfast setup while we were there, other than that, no staff members would give us the time of day. This was was such a disappointing stay.

Exceptional clean, quiet room on the first floor close to parking & the bar where we ordered a tasty pizza. The handicapped accessible room was top-drawer. Comfortable beds. Very friendly, helpful staff. The tv remote was a bit confusing but that could just be us & our limited skills with technology.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean. The refrigerator in the room was not working, but the staff put in a replacement as soon as they could. The facility is undergoing repairs, but the workers were very attentive to the guests as to not be interruptive.

The property is older and outdated. But the pool was nice and it is a peaceful location. The giant buck staring into our room at dusk looked fake- but was very real!!

The bottom of the bathtub was stained yellow. Not very appealing. There was no yogurt or fresh fruit available for breakfast. Staff were helpful and polite. On my way out I managed to leave a little bag with my dental retainers in it. I called when I got home and was grateful they did not throw this a way and they held it for me until family members who live nearby could pick it up.

The room I got was ok but bed didn’t look made well. The chair in the room (lazy boy) was broken. The shower head barely had pressure. The fridge in the room was dripping water and didn’t keep anything cold. Their coffee in the morning was horrible. And they didn’t even open the breakfast one day we were there. And then the next few days they had stale baked good and a gentleman said don’t eat the sausage cause it had a weird smell and taste. Also my Crewmans room when we got there was already used and dirty and after asking the front desk they said there’s nothing they can do so he had to sleep in his chair till room service cleaned the room the next day. I will never stay here again!! Also they say they charge you 50.00 for a hold on damages but then randomly they charge you 66.00.

I did NOT like not being able to amend this reservation just because I needed to add an additional night! Then when I created a new reservation, the desk panicked (& called) when we failed to check on from this reservation. Would have preferred a cleaner carpet, cooked oatmeal, & some other choices for breakfast.

Breakfast food is lacking. If you want to make a waffle there’s that but the eggs and meat are subpar. 2nd time we’ve stayed this fall and both times it has a gas like smell in the lobby. Maybe from the fireplace, IDK. Parking lot was nothing but ice. I know it snowed a lot but still kinda ridiculous that it was all ice. Felt bad for the guy in the handicap parking…had to park at an angle so they could find a little non iced pavement.

Carpets always seem to not be clean. Property as run down as area. Disappointed at no cooked oatmeal and no bacon. We managed but wouldn't repeat the experience.
