Very nice hotel.only complaint was there was rowdy and wild kids in the pool, throwing footballs hitting a family member. Drinking in the pool area. The worker did say something about the football incident to the family that was throwing it

We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was a quick walk to 3 restaurants and a convenience store. The outside lounging areas were great and we were able to enjoy the balmy 70 degree weather during our stay.

No bugs, my biggest concern with hotels. The carpet next to the walls and especially in the corners was dirty in our room but everything else was clean. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep through the night. The pool was warm and the entire pool area was clean. Breakfast was standard fare. Staff was friendly. We were in the very last room of the hall so the hot water took quite awhile to start, not unexpected for location. The area was quiet with several stores and restaurants close. We didn't see other guests until the morning, but we didn't hear anything throughout the night.

Our room was filthy. This location did not live up to the brand standards and was a stark contrast to the same brand in other parts of the Des Moines area. It appeared someone had a food fight a couple weeks ago and let everything dry. We had to wipe down all the doors to remove the crusted on whatever it was. When we told them we cleaned all of that they simply thanked us. The tub drain was full of someone’s hair and the tub was dirty. The couch was frayed and made horrible noises when you sat down. It had so many stains we literally covered it with a bath towel before sitting on it and tried not to use the arm rests. The hotel is non smoking but used to have smoking and we ended up in a previously smoking room. When asked about the smell, the staff insisted everything in the room had been replaced when they converted to non smoking. We had pictures of cigarette burns in the carpet, on the chair, and on the actual tub but that did not seem to convince them it had been smoked in.

The staff was the best part of this property. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and provided great service. The property itself is older and has undergone a few poor “face lifts” (mostly paint). The beds and bathroom were clean. The only really dirty thing that we noticed was the in-room carpet… gross.

The mini fridge did not work so I called the front desk and they offered us another room. The fridge worked in the new room but the bathroom floor tiles moved when you stepped on some of them, which was a safety issue. Cobwebs in the bathroom and tepid water the first night and by noon back to tepid water for shower. The sink water didn’t get hot until the second day before checkout. Lobby was clean and breakfast was good.

It was a nice hotel, but I’d say outdated for the price. I was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub upon check-in, which would have been amazing if I wasn’t staying with my daughter. The tub was out in the open in the room, so unfortunately didn’t get used. The upgrade was still appreciated, nonetheless. While getting ready for bed, the smoke detector in our room went off. Not the main hotel fire alarms, but the white home detector in the middle of the room. I fanned it with a towel and it stopped, but it was a mystery as why it happened. We were not showering or running hot water and definitely not smoking anything, so I’m not sure if a neighboring room was smoking and that is what did it? That was alarming, but it didn’t continue so I was eventually able to relax. The shower had a shower head on each side, which was cool, but the water pressure was nonexistent. The bed was ok, but I did wake up stiff and sore. I also had just drove from Colorado, so I’m not entirely blaming the bed. Overall, it did the job. I don’t think I would stay again if it was priced as high as it was thought, but I would definitely stay for a lower price.

We got checked in quickly, but when we got to our room the key cards wouldn't open the door! So we had to go down and get them prepared again. (The gal at the desk tried to blame me for getting them too close to my phone......I know better than that!!). So they got us into the room and we got settled. Nice room. Great bathroom. We went to supper and when we returned, once again our room would not open. (I keep hotel key cards in my wallet. Well away from my phone.) Fortunately a hard working housekeeper was vacuuming in our hallway and let us in without having to go all the way to the front desk. All in all was a decent hotel, but the key issue was frustrating to say the least!

Likes: The room was spacious and clean. We had a king size bed (very comfortable) and it had a seperate sitting area with a pull out couch, tv and desk. The bathroom had a night light which was very nice. The room was clean. Dislikes: A lot of kids running around and sports teams there (no room to sit for breakfast). The cleaning lady keyed into our room at 9:00 am without knocking and we hadn't checked out. If it would have been a couple of minutes later, I would have been naked coming from the shower. The conditioner was out and needed to be replaced. I have thick hair so I was thankful I bring additional conditioner.

We needed rooms for several of my siblings for a funeral in town. The staff was very accommodating and helped us obtain the rooms we needed. They were very informative about breakfast hours and provided a late check out to allow for our sons to use our room to chance for the funeral after a long drive that morning. Very professional and accommodating hotel!

Arrived after 5pm and our second room wasn’t ready and had no estimate for when it would be done. I came back after dinner around 7:15pm and the room still wasn’t ready. I have 4 kids and 2 go to bed by 7pm. We ended up getting another room on a different floor. I’m not happy with the lack of preparedness of our reservation.

My family and I were harassed by a group of teenage boys. They were beating on our door and kicking our door and running away. And when I contact the front desk. The guy who answered did not take me seriously and this happened several times on my first night. I was there for 2 nights.

At first the AC wasn't working in our room. The staff came immediately and got it working. They had offered a different room, but we didn't switch because the AC had started up and it continued to work for our entire stay.

Staff was EXCELLENT! The gentleman at check-in arranged adjoining rooms for us, and our daughter-in-law & granddaughters, which worked perfect for us as it provided extra room and seating. Also, needed plates/napkins/forks and extra garbage bags, for a volleyball team pizza party, and staff was very accommodating. Oh and…COOKIES!!! Yay!!! ;) Yummy!!

Only thing I would say negatively is the parking lot is a bit strange. Shared/woven together with several buildings around it. Otherwise it was a great place with a nice pool, friendly staff, and an easy breakfast to set you off in the morning.

This hotel made for a quick overnight stay, right of I35. Having a restaurant within walking distance was a plus and the gals at the front desk were very friendly.

Front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming. Area was near the interstate but quiet. Within walking distance to 3 restaurants and a convenience store. Safe area. Rooms were comfortable and clean for a place to sleep. Would stay again.

We were very pleased with our stay at Country Inn and Suites in Clive, IA. It would have been better if they had better selections at breakfast. Eggs and potatoes on Saturday, so very little protein. On Sunday, there was just biscuits and gravy with no true protein option. Also a little disgusted by the family beside us at breakfast with no shoes on while they ate. They were allowed to continue to eat without any staff member saying anything to them. I think that is just very disrespectful to all the rest of us also eating.

Our stay at Country Inn & Suites was very nice. A spacious bedroom area and a separate area with desk, chairs and a pullout sofa provided a nice relaxing space. The breakfast included a variety of offerings. We will stay here again.

Nice spot for a weekend stay. Breakfasts doesn't start until 7 though. Rooms were clean, front area was nicely done. Snacks availabile for purchase by front desk.

We were very very bummed that your breakfast juice station was not working! That’s one of the things we really look forward to that you at your motel. I did say something to the desk plus, I also asked the gal that was working in the back room. If they could bring out some containers or go get some no! I wish we were compensated for that, but no! 😡 other than that it was a pretty good stay

We’ve stayed in this hotel many times On the 3rd floor. In the first 10 minutes of getting into our room, we saw a cockroach crawling on the wall under the microwave. My husband recorded the bug and put it in a napkin and showed the front desk staff. They moved us to the third floor as we didn’t have time to transition to another hotel due to a wedding we were leaving for. We had the king suite and had our two kids with us. After calling the front desk to ask for pillows and blankets for our kids to use on the sofa bed they informed us that they didn’t have any of either. They were able to give us two paper, thin blankets, but stated they had no pillows to give and actually stated “you have enough pillows in your room”. I purchased this room for $172 with taxes and fees included and we were charged $197. We had several other rooms booked for members of our family and chose not to disclose the cockroach infestation as we didn’t have time to move to another hotel. I fully believe that we should be completely refunded for this day and I’m not sure if I have the intention of staying here ever again.
