Sure NOT Stay Again This hotel is a basic lower quality, marginally clean budget option. For over $100 we expected better. Our bathroom was filthy with scouring powder in the tub and on floor, old dusty furniture, lumpy old pillows and a saggy mattress. The dirty hallways leading up to the room should’ve been a red flag. Once we opened the door to our room, the stench of what I can only describe as a combination of mustiness, ammonia and cologne smacked you in the face. We’re not generally sensitive to smells, but this was overpowering. The front desk clerk was accommodating and moved us to a new room. Unfortunately, it had the same smell as the first. We realized this is something they must spray in the room. For the love of God, why? I opened the window and hoped it would air out while away at our concert. It still smelled strongly upon our return, but we were so tired we stayed. The smell was still prominent in the morning. There would be no lazy Sunday morning lingering in bed, enjoying our hotel room. We just wanted out. We spoke to a worker and they confirmed they spray the rooms. Needless to say this hotel will never be an option for us in Coralville again.

The staff are pretty good folks. ; Pretty I understanding although 1 day i was trying to extend my stay and usually (always) when I do it (which is often) there's no issue. However, this time by the time I did it they were fully booked so I couldn't get another day, which caused us to check out over an hour late, they charged my credit card $30 for a late check out. The bathrooms in every room I've stayed in are in need of some pretty moderate/ fairly extensive repairs. The tub/shower area being the worst. The last room i had, the tub was flaking massive layers of the laminate. As in you could just touch it and these sections would snap off. Which were very sharp and could easily slice you open. The same tub drained very, very slow, leaving you standing in about 4 inches of water for the duration. There was a bloody band aid next to the )toilet, enough toilet paper for about 1 wipe, and 2 dirty wash cloths hanging on the shower head and a dirty hand towel on the back of the bathroom door. It's like some one cleaned the toilet (maybe) and forgot to finish the rest. The air conditioning is on life support in every room. It's bad. The refrigerator needed defrosted months ago; the freezer had such a massive chunk of ice that it had fully taken over. Trapping at least 2 visable ice packs that couldn't be removed. Despite all this, the staff is fairly helpful and I like the location and layout . They are also one of the cheaper ones in town.

Property is very dirty, walls are dirty, bath tub looked very old and dirty, I don't think they understand what clean word means, we will not dare to even see swimming pool, breakfast was just ok, me and my husband we didn't wanted to eat because of place not being clean, we had a hard time believing that breakfast was done with full hygiene practice, anywhere you looked in the room it was dirty , ceiling had Wet damage spot it mamy places, we were seriously waiting for night to be over and get out of this hotel.

The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The room itself was a bit unclean and had a musty smell. The shower seemed pretty dirty upon arrival. But the breakfast area and fitness center were well-maintained. We had a good experience here, just hoped it would have been a bit cleaner.
