Beachliner Hotel

This hotel has steep stairs. Great location for the beach.

Older hotel and room on 4th floor and NO elevator, in addition to 2 stairwells being <3 ft wide…good luck if handicapped or have a large bag. A/C unit in room was an “in window” unit and is very loud. Very small room. Didn’t try breakfast. Will not be back for the price. Coffee maker in room, but no cups. Bed not comfortable and woke up with a sore neck.

It wasn't terribly hot, so the window unit air conditioning was sufficient. Parking could be an issue during busy beach days. Not recommended for seniors, as you have to take your luggage up 1 to 3 flights of fairly steep, narrow stairs! Nice continental breakfast and Burnedette was very helpful and informative.

The hotel was just renovated so everything is fresh, clean and modern. There is daily housekeeping. A continental breakfast with fresh baked goods are put out daily in the morning.The hotel manager is onsite and always available and was really responsive with any needs. The hotel is steps from the beach so location is fabulous. The front decks have a view of the ocean and can hear the waves. The roof deck has a side view of the ocean and you can hear the waves hitting the beach. Lovely. The hotel has 5 cruiser bikes to ride which was so fun and easy to access.Beach towels are provided and you can rent an umbrella and chairs at the beach entrance. The location is so convenient to to pop back to the hotel , walk down to asbury park boardwalk for lunch or dine in ocean grove and window shop. Great hotel to stay for a few days. This is a boutique hotel so you come and go as you please and don't have to be bothered with employees greeting you at every turn.

Everything was wonderful! Comfty bed, good food, stones throw from the beach. The innkeeper was very generous and responsive. My only issue was the stairs. We were on the 4th floor and the stairs felt dangerous. It’s an old home so I understand, but trying to get a 45lb piece of luggage of the stairs was treacherous as well as just climbing them in general. There was no elevator either. That said, I would stay here again

The property was recently completely renovated. The lobby was very nice and open. Fruit infused water and cookies were available upon arrival. It was so quiet that we felt like the only ones staying there. The location can’t be beat. Decks and porches gave views of the ocean. The property offered beach cruisers and beach towels for the guests, which was a welcomed surprise. We would definitely stay again.

Very clean and close to the beach with incredibly responsive staff. Just a heads up, there is no elevator and the stairs are small and narrow.

Not for people who struggle to walk or climb stairs

Great location near the beach and the shares and eateries. Clean, comfortable room. Parking a bit difficult.

Street parking can be difficult during the weekends.

Awesome location, clean, and beautiful

quaint old home turned into a "boutique" hotel. Didn't like - floor wasn't level, older building, small rooms. Stairs on 2nd floor to 3rd floor are very narrow. Uncomfortable to walk up and shower did not drain properly. They had put some sort of hair catcher that wasn't cleaned out and the shower would not drain and backed up. water took forever to warm up.

Upon arrival there is no front desk and no one to assist with issues. The bathroom had mold in the shower, the carpet was rolled up at the entrance to the room (which we tripped over), the ceiling fan was filthy, and the tv could not be seen from the bed. On our second night an alarm went off in a neighboring room at 1am and blared for an hour and 15 minutes. People were banging on their door (of an empty room) and eventually I called the reservation number. They answered after countless rings. No one came to shut the alarm and it continued from the time I called till 2:15am. Absurd.

Checkin is over the phone. No one on site if you have a problem. Shower curtain was disgusting. Left a little food in the trash and we had an ant infestation by morning. Eventually met a man that worked at the hotel on our final day, he was terse and rude. Closer to a hostel with private bathrooms than a quaint BandB. Jersey guy, first time to ocean grove. What a lovely little beach town. Area around the hotel.

What a wonderful boutique hotel with ocean views. The renovations to this place are truly transformational. Such a clean, crisp vibe. Staff was very accessible. Rooms are simple yet lovely. Bathrooms were super clean and stocked daily with fresh towels. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations. Best of all was the location. View of the beach beckoned daily walks on the boardwalk. Also just a block or 2 from the quaint downtown. We also loved just chilling on the spacious front porch, morning, noon and night. Needless to say, we will be back. Thank you Beach Liner for a wonderful stay.

The whole place is neglected, cracked ceiling tiles, paint missing everywhere. Stains on the comforter. No hot water….windows won’t stay open. Tub felt like it was going to collapse. Stay away

We left after one night !!! …. It’s disgusting and the service is horrible….. nothing like what is marketed ! The rooms are disgusting with mould on the showers and no heating in the rooms

The Beachliner is such a great little gem by the ocean! We got a convenient text that our room was ready early with the code to get into our room the morning of our stay. We arrived to coffee and cookies in the dining area. Our room was clean upon check in. The building is so charming and we loved the original and modern touches of it. The location to the ocean, shops at Main Ave, and boardwalk to Asbury Park couldn't be beat. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Amazing value for the price. Clean, comfortable beds

Our stay in Room 14 was wonderful for our family of 4. Mom and Dad stayed in the king. Toddler stayed in the queen. Newborn stayed in playard that we tucked in the little alcove by the mini fridge. It was on the top floor but we travel light so the stairs weren’t an issue. The room had great views of the beach and boardwalk. Bernadette was lovely, informative and great at communicating, oftentimes via text message. Check in/out was a breeze. Breakfast in the morning was perfect, and there were board games in the lobby for my toddler to stay occupied with. We would definitely come back!

The new owners did a great job of renovating. Nice breakfast buffet. Not much hot water for showering in our top floor room.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Junior Suite (room 3)- which features a private balcony with an ocean view. We spent hours staring out at the sea & enjoyed bringing dinner in from a local spot so we were able to make the most of it. Bernadette responded immediately to inquiries and served up a delightful breakfast (the waffles were tasty). The beds (a king & a queen) were comfortable & given that it’s a multi*floor space with multiple units- incredibly quiet. Location is perfect for exploring Ocean Grove & made for an easy walk to Asbury. Sunrise was spectacular. Parked right out front without a problem. Already planning on returning 2x a year and will be sure to book the same room again.

Great location. Check in was easy and convenient with a very engaging host. My room was on the third floor. There was one floor above me. The upstairs guests right over my room got in at 12:30 and stayed up until well after two walking around with boots and talking loudly and dropping things. This would’ve been easily solvable. Had I been able to use my AirPods but the Internet kept disconnecting and had a weak connection. A stronger Internet would be advisable so inconsiderate people aren’t an issue. Beautiful bathroom lovely comfortable bed very clean. Only thing was cups were missing from the coffee maker. A lovely breakfast the next morning.

The shower and bathroom sink did not have any hot water. We were unable to use the shower at all, which was disappointing aince we had an event to prepare for.

I chose to stay here because the pictures online show a cozy bed and breakfast with finishes similar to the style of a boutique hotel. Prior to arrival, the inn keeper reached out with helpful check-in information. The room we picked during reservation (room 16) was not assigned to us and we got room 1. Upon arrival, the inn keeper warmly greeted us and there was no formal check-in (e.g., providing an ID or signing any papers). Unfortunately, as soon as we settled into our room, the guests upstairs were causing a lot of noise (loud footsteps and conversations). I reached out to the inn keeper via text asking for a white noise machine but they did not have one. She did send a message to guests via text with a friendly reminder to be considerate about noise, but that did not work because the guests upstairs still ended up being incredibly noisy from 1 am to 2:45 am, stomping and shouting… even down the hallway at one point. I texted about ear plugs and got no reply. The cable box was broken and the television did not have a remote that worked with it. We had to use an hdmi cable to our laptop to watch a show. The wifi went out at 12 am so we were not able to watch our show anymore. Breakfast had a decent selection of goods (cheese omelette, everything bagel and cream cheese, OJ etc). If you’re lucky and have quiet and respectful neighbors and don't want to watch tv or need wifi and want to be close to the shore, this may be a decent place to stay. Otherwise, not so much.

The room was perfect for a weekend getaway. Steps from the ocean and we had a beautiful balcony view so we were able to see the waves hitting the shore line....Just what we wanted.....

The property was great for a one night stay!! Fridge, beautiful bathroom, and large bed. Very simple for what we needed. I will say, we went Dec 31st and we were shocked at how HOT the room was. As someone who is always cold, this was a lot for me to say. We unplugged the heater, opened the windows, and even put cold towels on us to try to sleep. Nothing. I reached out to the Innkeeper and was given no response. Super upsetting. Overall a great stay, but OMG! was not expecting to overheat.

I never have done this but that place was a complete let down. Some random dude standing in front w iPad to check me in. Not a very happy man. Gave me 2 codes. One for front one for room. Didn't offer to help w bags. Had to lug them up 4 floors to a room that was pretty nasty. Loud in window AC. Not comfortable at all. Bathroom was across the hall from room. Truth be told worst hotel orB&B I have ever stayed in.

Bernadette, the inn keeper was very welcoming and informstive. As many of these beachside hotels are historical properties, this one is well kept and newly renovated. It has a charm that makes it very comfortable. It still retains its older charm but has been updated. Beds very comfortable and nice shower. The breakfast was delicious and bountiful, if simple, varied by day: eggs to order, bagels, English muffins, OJ, coffee stuff, pancakes on Sunday, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, hash browns, sausage. Coffee and water in the room. Delicious fresh cookies anytime. Tons of towels. Lovely front porch with a view of the ocean.

The property is nothing like the pics. It is much much smaller and dilapidated. A shelf in our room was falling off, soap was not refilled, toilet paper was used up, we had a coffee machine in the room but the pot was missing. asked for a blanket over text (there was nobody on premises) and was sent (over text) to a disgusting utility closet where comforters were piled up i. The shower stall. Location was nice - near the beach. If not for location, i would give it 1 star

This is a VERY CLEAN, COZY PLACE TO STAY. Pictures are exactly what it looks like. Steps from the Ocean and boardwalk,plenty of free parking. breakfast was cooked to order with many options & plentiful . The house manager Bernadette is the warmest, kind person she really goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and even offers a snack for the ride home . thank you for a wonderful stay! Will be back one day

The check-in was horrific. No one was at hotel to check us in. Had to call someone who was extremely unhelpful and not a good communicator. I’m sure he’s a good person; he’s in the wrong job. We had NO idea we would have to call to get a digital check in. I can’t say enuf about this poor service especially for a $550 a nite room charge.

We loved our stay here! The property manager, Bernadette, was so communicative and made sure we had everything we needed to have the perfect stay! So close to the beach and everything Asbury has to offer.

Staff is AMAZING

We had a lovely stay at the Beachliner. We wanted a place we could walk to the Sea Hear Now music festival in Asbury Park. It was a mile walk along the boardwalk which was perfect. We were able to park and then never use the car again which is exactly what we wanted. Staff is great and very helpful.

Loved that it was so close to the beach. The house was charming. We were able To walk the boardwalk. Shopping is up the street and some awesome restaurants were also in walking distance. Bernadette does an awesome job running the place. Enjoyed breakfast on the front porch and looked forward to fresh baked cookies in the evening.

We stayed at the Beachliner Hotel for two nights with our two young kids and had a great experience. The owner lives on site and was incredibly helpful…she sent us a text message at check-in with all the information we needed and even let us know when our room was ready a bit early. She was also available during breakfast each morning and happy to answer any questions. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach and near a boardwalk that’s very dog & kid friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. It wasn’t super spacious, but it was just right for what we needed. We appreciated the attention to detail and the warm, welcoming vibe of the place. We’d definitely stay here again!

Shoddy renovation, not a welcoming place at all. Absolutely stark and bleak room. Only one overhead dim light. A cheap coat hanger standing in front of the view of the ocean. The shower did not drain and the shower floor was so unsteady. It felt like it was going to break. Such tight spaces, a large person could not possibly be accommodated. Stairway is extremely narrow and steep, bannister sticky with bad paint. The so-called innkeeper was nowhere to be seen and was not particularly polite on the phone. Breakfast was OK but not a hot breakfast. Really the only two good things about the property were that it is very close to the beach and the coffee was pretty good. Overpriced and really such a sadly decorated and poorly renovated property. The whole place screamed, “we don’t care..” I couldn’t wait to leave.

Great location, close to the beach, close to the downtown. The facility was very nice and looked recently redone, rooms were large and nice - exactly what you want from a bed-and-breakfast. they had a great continental breakfast with mid afternoon warm cookies and lemonade, and the staff were both friendly and accommodating.

Maryam greeted us and showed us to our room. She was very attentive and friendly! Nice breakfast in the morning. Room and bathroom were clean.

Room was too small. Air conditioner in order to cool was too loud, intrusively loud. The breakfast was more typical of a chain motel offering. Staff was efficient and available, location excellent.

They have a great breakfast and the hotel is within walking distance to downturn Asbury Park. It's right near the beach also. The inn keeper, Bernadette, was very informative and there was an endless supply of fresh baked cookies!
