The manager Michael was amazing. He would greet everyone so cheerfully every time he would see us. He was accommodating when my reservation was compromised due to a flight delay. He also held my luggage after it was delivered by the airline. My room was regularly refreshed. Breakfast was hit or miss, the staff who do breakfast could be more kind and approachable especially since they are the first interaction you get to start your day. Pool was clean and fun. Overall it was a great 2 weeks, and the location was perfection!

The description of the room was misleading. The pull out couch was not in a separate room grom the main bed which provided zero privacy. The couch cushions were stained and chips were in the couch. The floor was stained. The hot tub wasn't working. The pool shut down too early at 8pm. The common room closed too early at 9pm. The only good thing was the breakfast and the workout room was okay.

Didn’t like that after you check in have to go back outside & walk to another building to find your room, mine was on ground floor, anyone could follow me, 2 big windows on ground too, when walked out my door anyone could be waiting outside. Had to walk back to lobby to meet Grubhub food delivery person. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Not enough parking, had to park against the curb by the building. No extra linens or pillows for the pull out, despite the reservation stating we would have three people. Requested accessible, but got put on the second floor with no elevator. The bathrrom door hits the toilet and to close the door, you need to step sideways into the shower. On the plus side, the room is very clean.

After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous. But our room was spotless and the area is quiet. Check in was fast and easy. The gym was convenient. They offer free breakfast. If you’re looking for a place to just sleep and chill after exploring all day I would recommend. It’s not too far from downtown or anything we did during our stay in Cleveland.

The room and the grounds were very clean. Bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the full size bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner mounted on the shower wall. The room had a kitchenette that had everything you needed if you wanted to prepare meals. They even had a grill you could use in the pool patio area. Breakfast they offered had a nice variety of items to choose from. Great value to families to have that instead of going out to eat. Food was hot and replenished frequently to make sure everyone had enough. All the staff members we came in contact with were very friendly. One of my favorite things about this hotel was that even though there were a lot of people staying there the room was very quiet. You could not hear everyone else.

Extremely clean!! The front desk lady (I can't remember her name) was exceedingly kind, friendly and helpful!! She absolutely went above and beyond to ensure my mother and I had a comfortable stay!! She worked both Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th. She is a gem. The entire property was safe, clean and comfortable!! We would absolutely book here again on our next trip!!

The shower stall needs a deeper cleaning. There is pink residue on the back wall under the faucet. A pube was on the wall. :/ Other than that, beds were comfy, temperature of room adjusted easily, areas other than bathroom issue were clean/ fresh. Breakfast was good. Oh, you have to hold down the lever when flushing toilet then let go or it may not refill.

Big room with full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher and stovetop) and all cookware and silverware. Large sitting area and desk and breakfast bar. Comfortable bed, plenty of natural light. Complex felt safe and plenty of light in parking areas. Our room was quiet. Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower (our body wash was completely empty though). Large breakfast buffet. Oatmeal and topping bar, eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, potatos, assorted breads and pastries, waffle maker, fresh fruit.

The hotel is very pretty and conveniently located. The provided beakfast was really good. The place was quiet. What keeps me from giving all 5 stars is the bathroom is tiny. It's so tiny that you have to walk in and stand next to the toilet in order to close and open the door. It would make sense to remove it and put a door at the entrance to the vanity. Also a coffee table would be nice and could be pushed under the desk when using the sleeper sofa. There were only 2 pans, enough plates and glasses for 4, and 1 coffee cup. Some plastic cups would be nice for kids. Also, when walking behind the room in the grass, I stepped in dog poop. Then I noticed other piles and kept my eyes where I stepped. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price per night I expected a little more.

The full kithen was awesome and they breakfast buffet was not at all bad. Sprung for a room with a fireplace, made for a wonderful rainy night. It a real wood burner and I had to buy my own dura flame log at the gas station nearby, but it was worth the effort

Had a very disappointing experience at Residence Inn Cleveland Independence. Upon check-in at around 7:30 PM, was informed at the front desk that my reservation could not be honored and has been relocated. No prior email or call was given prior. Upon checking the alternatie accomodation, it was a much much lower-quality hotel: old, noisy, poorly rated, and without breakfast that was included in my original booking. When concerns were raised, they offered reward points instead and no proper adjustment in pricing for being re-accommodated in a cheaper hotel. Finally, after insisting, was able to negotiate to check back in next day. Have never had experienced such an unprofessional handling. If I wanted a budget hotel, I would have booked one myself. Marriott should not operate in a way that charges guests for a premium stay and then shuffles them to lower-rated properties without notice. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. For some nice words, the rooms were excellent, very clean, spacious and very much comfortable.

When we arrived the manager that night was ready for us at the front desk and was absolutely lovely and also had all of our information and room cards and details ready. She was also so kind and professional. I believe her name was Bernadette. Not sure of her name but she was wonderful. Our stay room was great too!

Had a confirmed reservation for two rooms with proof in writing in hand but was told at the hotel it was for one room and no other rooms were available. Had to find another hotel for the night! Not even an apology offered!

Customer service was par excellent! Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and professional. Great staff which is difficult to find these days. Kudos and thank you Bernetta, Grace and Kei. Great job! By the way, the rooms were nice and comfortable as well!

Double charged my card after calling several times the many laughed at us because we told her we were frustrated were from outta state and don’t have to come back to get our card fixed after they made us wait until we checkout to try to give us a refund when we noticed it as soon as we checked in place was nice but staff was horrible management was horrible will never stay there away do not recommend at all

It is conveniently located to the airport, downtown and areas to the east in Beachwood & other suburbs. With the construction on the highways though, I kept getting lost.

This place is a split down the middle review. The positive: location in the area, the ROOMS are updated, modern , comfortable. The breakfast is good and most staff was helpful. Negative: the hotel itself is old and rundown looking. it does not seem safe. There are always sketchy looking people milling around outside. I felt uncomfortable and stuck in the room due to and You can’t walk from your room to the lobby indoors which is inconvenient because they don’t bring anything to you when they don’t give you supplies they expect you to drag your children thru the dark to walk outside to pick up towels they shorted you to fix their error. Only about 6/10 for cleanliness.

After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous. But our room was spotless and the area is quiet. Check in was fast and easy. The gym was convenient. They offer free breakfast. If you’re looking for a place to just sleep and chill after exploring all day I would recommend. It’s not too far from downtown or anything we did during our stay in Cleveland.

The front desk person was lovely and had the friendliest demeanor. Our room however had a musty smell, it appeared clean overall. The breakfast was lacking in options and the floor of the breakfast area was sticky. Although the staff was friendly and the location convenient I don't think I would stay here again.

Big room with full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher and stovetop) and all cookware and silverware. Large sitting area and desk and breakfast bar. Comfortable bed, plenty of natural light. Complex felt safe and plenty of light in parking areas. Our room was quiet. Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower (our body wash was completely empty though). Large breakfast buffet. Oatmeal and topping bar, eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, potatos, assorted breads and pastries, waffle maker, fresh fruit.

The room and the grounds were very clean. Bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the full size bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner mounted on the shower wall. The room had a kitchenette that had everything you needed if you wanted to prepare meals. They even had a grill you could use in the pool patio area. Breakfast they offered had a nice variety of items to choose from. Great value to families to have that instead of going out to eat. Food was hot and replenished frequently to make sure everyone had enough. All the staff members we came in contact with were very friendly. One of my favorite things about this hotel was that even though there were a lot of people staying there the room was very quiet. You could not hear everyone else.

I could hear my upstairs neighbors walking, and my next-door neighbors operating sinks and showers. The food at breakfast was good and I appreciated that it started early. Mark at the front desk was very helpful and efficient.

It should be noted that the property also serves as a homeless shelter. Housekeeping was terrible and my room was not fully cleaned although I was assigned that room at check in. I was there for 12 days and breakfast was either an omelet or scrambled egg. No variety. People came to breakfast with shopping bags and filled them as if they were in a supermarket. Plates, utensils, milk, bread, fruit etc. rooms are totally dated and need an update as carpets are stained, appliances are rusty. Front desk staff were great and tried to be helpful so I can not take that away. I would not stay here again if in the area.

We got a 2 room suite. One bedroom for my husband and myself the second bedroom for my daughter and her family. We paid extra for the suite so we can hang together since we don’t see each other much. The first night we noticed that all our feet/socks were black due to the carpet being so gross. Later that night my daughter had an ant crawling on her while in bed. At first we thought they were coming from the window. The next night she pulled the covers back and the bed was covered in ants. We pulled the bed back and there was food, a pacifier, and a card. They gave them a new room but we stayed due to lack of other rooms. They did say they would fumigate but with us not having another room why would I want to stay in the room. All I asked was they clean the WHOLE suite along with pulling the bed out and clean behind it. When we got back from dinner the only thing done was the bed was remade in the room with the ants. Nothing else cleaned including behind the bed. All items including the food was still there. Was told by manager to get compensation and that was not done.
