Parking lot was kind of small and full, and several children were playing in the parking lot on the side of the hotel when I pulled in at 9:30pm. Otherwise, everything was great. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, smelled fresh, water pressure was great, shower was hot. Bed was super comfortable.

The water pressure was to die for. Great staff. Clean. Excellent television with a TV Guide channel and closed captioning. The parking is free, and there is easy access to Park Ave - one of the main thoroughfares in Muscatine and Highway 61. You can catch the bus from the hotel, plus there are three restaurants and one sports bar within a two-minute walk of the hotel. The coffee maker is different from the Keurig-style pod, which was disappointing. The breakfast could be better.

Check in was quick and courteous. The coffee machine in the lobby was great! I could tell the room was clean but there are some cosmetic issues if easily taken care of would elevate the appearance of cleanliness. The caulk in the shower needs removed and a finer, straight caulk line reapplied.

Positives: Front desk employees are terrific and capable - All common areas are updated (except for the elevator) and modern- many amenities are available for purchase and the coffee machine is individualized and new-all surfaces that can be painted are newly painted Negatives: The bathrooms in each of the 6 different rooms I have stayed in are cringingly outdated and the effect it gives is unfortunately very dirty; the same could be said of the carpeting- the parking area is very small and parking when fully booked can be a problem- Tractor trailer driver’s won’t be able to park in lot

This hotel had friendly staff, efficient check-in, clean comfortable room, and breakfast which included hot food- eggs, sausage! A waffle maker was also available but we didn't indulge 😉 The indoor pool looked inviting but our schedule didn't allow us time for a swim.

The property was clean, which is my biggest concern. The pool was closed due to maintenance. I feel this should have been noted on their website. The bed was extremely hard. I'm glad we only spent 1 night here.

No reason why this hotel should be as dirty and non-functional as it is. It is not all that old. I am not picky about hotels, but entered room with wife and daughters, greeted by a distinct smell of sewage. The carpet had debris all over it, had obviously not been vacuumed. An upholstered chair was oddly pushed against the wall right by the room entrance, dirty and smeared with some kind of food on the top. I politely requested a different room, and we were re-assigned. The second room seemed better at first -- no smell and vacuumed carpet, at least. Once settled in, we realized that the bathroom sink did not drain. At all. And the shower drain was so slow that even with a short shower, the water came up around your ankles. When my wife went down for breakfast, she was told, "We\'re sorry, we don\'t have any milk this morning." When I joined her, she passed the message along to me. I said, "Really? There\'s a grocery store right across the street. Can\'t they send someone to get some milk?" I think the manager must have overheard me, because they did then send someone to get milk. I felt awkward about that. Don\'t mean to be a complainer. But seems like something they should have noted and taken care of when setting up for breakfast that morning, or the night before, instead of just telling their guests "that\'s the way it is." We visit Muscatine regularly but will not be staying at this hotel again.

7/25/25, We rented 2 rooms based on all the excellent reviews. Upon arriving to our rooms, one stunk, one didn't but had dirty sheets. The overnight staff spent 30 minutes walking us into different rooms and almost all of them had a smell, and the 2 rooms we ended up in were the least smelly. BUT, the tubs were filthy and stained with. The windows you could not open for fresh air, and had black mold building up in the corners of the glass. One room the toilet didnt work nor the outlets. The other rooms fridge wasnt cold. Granted, there was a flash flood which probably added to the strong musky smell, but the other things were not relatwd at all. The best part of the experience was the kind staff and comfortable bed. Supposedly the hotel is under new management and you can see the tubs were old and sinks were new...appearing they are working on renovations. I would not stay here again unless its completely renovated and room cleanliness is prioritized.

I stayed at this property while my husband was in the hospital. It is what you would expect for a $89/night stay. The bathroom fixtures were well used and tired looking, although clean. Their complimentary hot breakfast was very good. The overall hotel was clean and all of the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

Positives were that the room was clean and comfortable. Nice big TV and lots of outlets. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was not more than 10 minutes from any of the things we wanted to do in the area. Negatives were minor. All of the pillows were firm and they did not have any soft pillows so sleeping on them was difficult. Bring your own pillow if you don't like a firm pillow. And, the bathroom door would not stay shut. Again, minor things which would not keep us from staying here on a future trip.

When it doesn't work it forces me to spend additional money on breakfast at a restaurant.

I stayed at this property while my husband was in the hospital. It is what you would expect for a $89/night stay. The bathroom fixtures were well used and tired looking, although clean. Their complimentary hot breakfast was very good. The overall hotel was clean and all of the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff was great and they accomodated my request for a floor level room by the door so i could take my dog out every so often. They were very friendly and i would definitely return there in the future.

The parking is free, and there is easy access to Park Ave - one of the main thoroughfares in Muscatine and Highway 61. Positives were that the room was clean and comfortable. Nice big TV and lots of outlets. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was not more than 10 minutes from any of the things we wanted to do in the area. Negatives were minor. All of the pillows were firm and they did not have any soft pillows so sleeping on them was difficult. Bring your own pillow if you don't like a firm pillow. And, the bathroom door would not stay shut. Again, minor things which would not keep us from staying here on a future trip.

Jessica was awesome on check in. The check out lady in the morning was also great and concerning, very friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. Add a five star breakfast above and beyond a motel free breakfast with sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. This is the place to stay in Muscatine. Easy to find and reasonably priced. I promised I'd leave a good review because they deserve a pat on the back.

I had a great stay the beds were comfy and clean the shampoo and conditioner and bar soap all smelled really good. Breakfast in the morning was almost unbelievable how good it was biscuits and gravy sausage, sausage links, and the eggs were fluffy and delicious! I'm definitely going to be staying there again.

All good except for the breakfast. It was served between 6-8am—two hours is a bit odd—and the food, for the most part, was very unappetizing. Had I stayed a second night, I would have blown it off in favor of another option.

Nice room. Nice staff. Okay breakfast. One of the beds were not made. After lifting comforter we noticed the top sheet was pulled back. The bed was moist. No pillow cases on 2 pillows & stain on fitted sheet. Staff offered new room, but we were fully unpacked. No discount offered. Luckily we only needed one bed.

It was a good stay, overall. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast offered enough variety and good quality food options. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The parking lot was well lit, a good thing for comfort and safety when you are in a town you had never visited before. The only things that could have been better are that my room felt a bit on an humid side despite the AC running, and I thought the carpeting looked like it was overdue for a good cleaning up on the third floor where I stayed. Though I didn't seek an evening meal, the hotel is also with a few blocks of multiple nationally known fast food outlets, so close that most people could easily walk to them. The bottom line is that I would return for another stay, as the comforts within came at an affordable price.
