Soggiorno di 2 notti

I was a little nervous to stay in this cabin because of previous reviews, but it truly was an amazing place to stay! Here are my pros and cons of our trip (2 nights, 6 adults, no kids): PROS- Property owners have cleared the trees blocking the view so the back porch is AMAZING.- Lots of entertainment to make up for no internet. TV, Board Games, Fooseball, Pool, etc.- Each duo in our party had access to their own bathroom/shower. - Clean and tidy inside. - Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook all of our own meals. CONS- The drive is confusing and the instructions aren’t great. I ended up having to screenshot a map and put arrows so our companions could find the cabin.- Older home and furniture. This wasn’t an issue for us at all but don’t expect every obscure corner to be scrubbed clean and have fancy new furniture/appliances.- No wifi, but we had great cell service and the entertainment provided made up for it!- BEDS. I was truly hoping that the previous reviews were just people complaining but no.. the beds are terribly uncomfortable. Especially if you are sleeping two to a bed. I suggest that the owners reinforce the mattress in the master bedroom so that it doesn’t sag, and add a foam pad or topper to the other upstairs bed for more comfort. It was brutal.- Trash Cans were overflowing when we arrived, but the VACASA folks took care of that quick. - Safety of the porch. The railing on the back porch is flimsy. Beware if bringing kids.

The home wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t as clean as I would hope or expect. A pile of blankets shoved in a closet unwashed and stained, coffee still in the coffee pot, lots of dead bugs in the windows, and long brown hair on the shower wall. It didn’t feel too dirty to stay in but too dirty for the price, I’d say. Other than that however, great location near the cute towns of Dillsboro and Sylva, which both have nice restaurants and breweries. The pictures of the views are false advertising as they must be at least a few years old judging by current tree growth. The house is large and the foosball and pool table are a fun addition. Satellite TV, VHS, and DVDs are outdated and I think just having WiFi so that use of the living room smart tv would be more accommodating for most guests.

The location was perfect. It was close to several towns that had lots of fun things to do. The house was very cozy, the view was amazing and we really enjoyed playing pool and foosball with our kids. A few complaints we have, are that the cleaners need to look higher than eye level. There was a ton of dust and cobwebs on the walls and in the corners of the ceilings. That's an easy fix, though. The dishwasher was moldy and needs to be replaced. Also, if you are there during the week, don't plan to drink your morning coffee on the porch. There is an asphalt plant just down the mountain and it smelled really strong in the morning. Other than those things, we definitely recommend staying here, especially if you have kids!

The main take away from this house is: "You get what you pay for". We chose to find a cheaper house and spend our on activities/experiences for this trip, and thats what we got. The house is conveniently located close to Bryson city and Cherokee, which was where we spent our time. we had a Tahoe, NOT 4WD, and we were totally fine driving there Now, for the house: the general house was overall clean in the areas you use. But there were cobwebs in some corners and visible dust on the walls in the main area . The house is very dark and dim lighting. There is wood damage on the inside den window from some sort of animal?? The outdoor patio furniture looks very old rickety but it held everyone up without breaking so.... The hot water heater in the house never ran out on use but we staggered showers and took QUICK ones! The handle in the master shower is broken so it continuously twists so good luck getting the temp right- it will either scald you or freeze you- we just all used the other shower all weekend. now, for the BEDS....good lord. I see there have been many complaints about them, with the responses from the hosts being that everyone's comfort level is subjective. ok yes I agree, but they are truly HORRIBLE!!! we are in our 40's and are ALL going to the chiropractor when we get home! I prayed for sunrise so I could get out of that bed!!!!
