Red Lion Inn & Suites Post Falls

Guest laundry and fridge in room were what brought us here. Neither were available. Staff had trouble making key for the room, 5th attempt finally took, poor repair above shower. All vending machines out of order.

Pool was closed; wasn’t specified in listing that it was outside and seasonal only. Property run down, not very clean. Breakfast was meager. TV didn’t work. Met our bare minimum standard but that’s it

Could have used an elevator

Deceiving pics, no hot tub, no hair dryers or coffee maker in room. Carpets very dirty, stained & coming up. Mice in the outdoor pool area that came right up to people, trash & cig. butts by entrance. Chlorine tablet tossed in the pool not in a container, my son picked it up & asked what it was. 1st room, floor was not vacuumed, tiny round toilet with oval seat that moved way too much, no soap or extra toilet paper, & something smeared across one headboard. 2nd room no rack or bar in door of tiny fridge, single pane window track broken so window was falling in, dirty furniture, & no stopper in the sink. There was some soap/lotion/etc all different brands, & 2 towels for 4 people. Did get more towels. Asked about an elevator because spouse has a heart condition, no elevator. Walked past the front desk with our bags & the man there said “fat Americans” under his breath. There was a leak in the hotel so the water was turned off to the whole building for somewhere around 4 hours! No sinks & no working toilets! Plumber finally called so maintenance crew went next door for a case of beer & snacks! No A/C in hallways or lobby. Your GF option for breakfast is yogurt, everyone else can have donuts, muffins, toast, cereal, or waffles. Was really expecting a certain level of quality with the Red Lion name, extremely disappointed! We usually stay at another chain when we travel, but this was a last minute trip, guess I know now why this hotel had rooms available. Don’t do it!

The lot was clean grass well kept. Was not quite woke many time to upstairs noise and a Dog across the way. Hot tub was broken a and no pool access. Only reason i boked with them wss the pool and hot tub. Red lion brand has fallen to sub par.

Stay away. First off there is no elevator to lug your stuff safetly up with. You get to take the stairs. Then yiure greeted by key cards that dont work on your door. Then you frustratigly go back, get a new key...then get in your room and find it to be an absolute mess. Ive included pictures of the room dirtyness and damage to walls. Beds where just springs. Staff also lives in the rooms on the fiest floor. Pool was not usable as it was blocked off.

No phone in room. Man at front desk did not speak English. Holes in ceiling. Broken ice machine and soda machine took my money but did not give me a soda.

No elevator. Pool dirty. Breakfast was small. No coffee made till asked. Hair in the shower and all over the shower curtain.

Horribly dirty, the carpets had huge bleach stains. Broken toilet paper holder, no amenities, dirty pillows and little black hairs on the bed sheets. I checked out 3 hours after checking in.

The young lady checking us in was friendly and helpful. The outside of the property is clean, well maintained. The hall carpets are stained. Housekeeping in our room was bad. Soap scum ring in bathtub, carpet needed vacuum around the bed, counter tops show rag swipe marks. The beds are hard and springs "creak" every time you move. No bed bugs though.

The room wasn't vacuumed, the side table was dirty with a ring from a coffee cup spill, the spread had a visible stain. Overall cleanliness of the room seemed to be neglected.

This is the nasty. Room was dirty. Got in the bed and had bed bugs. Went to front desk to tell them. They offerded a different room. That room was not any better. Did not get a refund. They looked at me like I had no idea of wht I was talking about. They said it had bed bugs because they opened the windows. I will be getting ahold of their cooperate office.

This hotel is in such disrepair. It needs to be taken off Hotels.com. Sheets are stained and dirty, bathroom dirty and broken sink stopper. Hallways are filthy, with stained carpet and dirty walls. Breakfast area was under stocked and dirty. Office window was open to the parking lot with a cord hanging out the window to charge a car. Will not book this one again.

The filthiest place I have ever stayed and I have traveled to a lot of third world countries. The staff was very rude and wouldn’t make eye contact. The carpets are black with filth, it smells like something between a dead animal And smoke. We had one dirty towel hanging on the rack behind our door and no other linen. Absolutely disgusting!!!

This hotel is filthy. Our shower had a huge glob of long black hair hanging on the back wall, the sink had spit and toothpaste splattered all over it, and I got bit by something in several places. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Broken items in the room like the toilet paper holder, door casing and latches, unclean or used bedding sheets, room is dusty and unclean, furniture is old and beat up. No coffeemaker in room, no blow dryer, no shampoos or conditioner, poor quality and questionable cleanness towels. Hallways are even worse. I doubt the carpet on hallway has ever been vacuumed or shampooed. Scratched walls have not seen paint for long, long time. At the time of checking out, they charged me $10/per night more than at the initial online reservation. Never again!

This Red Lion was down right dirty. The carpets were very stained and looked like a vacuum had never been used nor the flooring cleaned. I did check for bedbugs and didn’t find any, so I guess that’s a positive note. The room window frame was broken. Being on ground level this was a problem as it is not able to be locked and was literally falling apart. The room furniture was broken and many drawers wouldn’t even open, not that I use these anyways but thought to mention. The towels in the bathroom were dirty and felt damp like they had reused the previous guest towels without washing them. The floors above our bed were very squeaky and the occupant above us walked around all night! Interrupted our sleep. Supposedly there was a free breakfast, well couple pieces of bread for toast and waffles teamed up with a broken waffle iron proved to be the free breakfast. Overall just a grody place. Lack of options in our budget lead us to this place. For 100$/night it was in its own price level as all other were 200$+. O would rather have a clean place to stay with no pool or free anything to make up whatever costs associated to fulfill that level of accommodations. Shoulda taken photos of what this place really looks like rather than the fake pictures posted.

I had booked 2 rooms. 1 for my husband and I, the other for our daughter and 2 grandkids. I booked each room with a king bed. We arrived and we were shown rooms with one queen bed. Then to top it off, my daughter's room wasn’t even cleaned. Trash was still in the trash cans. The bed was stripped of any sheets and not made at all. The comforter was rolled up and placed on the chair. The room was a disaster. And because there was no king bed, not all three of them would fit into one queen. There was also supposed to be a small couch in each room. There wasn’t. Only one very small chair. My daughter was upgraded to a two queen room on the floor above us. Which I was upset about, because I requested rooms next to each other. My husband's and my room wasn't very clean. It smelled awful. I wanted to change rooms, but my husband didn't want to make a fuss. I tried not to touch anything when I was there. I felt gross the whole time. Upon checking in, my daughter and I waited for someone to come to the front desk after ringing for service. When the person finally came, she had a thick accent and spoke low and fast. I am hard of hearing and when I asked her what she said, she repeated it and then proceeded to ignore me and talk only to my daughter. She handed my driver's license to my daughter and told her thank you, when I am the one who gave it to her. The lady proceeded to hand all paperwork to my daughter that I needed to sign. A chair was missing a wheel in our room. It was bad

WiFi didn’t work. Dirty and gross

Our window was broken and didn’t secure shut. No smoke alarm in our room. Stay away.

Mostly clean, the breakfast was a joke. The WiFi was so poor that we couldn’t even watch tv in the evening.

Unfortunately this place was extremely deceiving through the photos and details provided. Our room did not come with a Bidet (we were sad about this) description said separate seating area (definitely not separate), our porcelain bathroom sink was broken with a hole in it, No ceiling lights in the bed area, You can hear the screaming children in the halls and in the rooms next door, beds were terribly firm, and if your window is facing the street you can hear every single car driving by day and night. Breakfast was also extremely stale and limited. Area around the hotel was run down and infront of a sad strip mall. Conveniently located next to free way but definitely not worth the price. But the gentleman that was at the front desk a few of the times was very kind and should be acknowledged.

I didnt like the upstairs noise.

There was a huge hole in our bathroom ceiling. The tub was dirty with briken pieces from the ceiling sitting in the tub. The bathroom door was broken with 2 big holes in it. The smoke detector was ripped off of ceiling with nothing but cables hanging down. The windows were broken and the locks to the windows were broken too. Only 1 of my rooms had a wooden bar holding the window shut since both window locks were broken. The refrigerator was missing. The microwave locked after the timer went off so i couldn't get my food out from the microwave. The door keys are being reused so they are pretty worn out so in order to get in the room i would have to swipe the card several times for it to actually work and let me into my room. The bedding was a little dirty/stained. Only 1 of the lamps was working. Over all the entire stay was horrible we couldn't shower. And we couldn't sleep because were afraid someone would come in through the windows while we were asleep.

the property was close to our destination but was old and musty. check in wasn’t smooth due to keys not working and having to go back and forth to get the room open.

Pretty good location with Couer D’Alene nearby. Was pretty disgusted with the bath towels but other than that it was a good stay the bed was comfy. Bring headphones for noisy neighbors ;)

The lady at the front counter immediately started to hell at me about giving id I stated I was grabbing it I just had few questions then she repeatedly saying it and being rude I then said this is not customer service I'm not going somewhere where someone yells at me. I asked if I cancel my room are you going to charge me anything she said no. I asked again are you going to charge me anything not a penny right. She repeatedly said no. I went to a hotel down the street the people where great and when I got up in the morning they charged me. I went back over there to the place that charged me and same lady was at the desk. I said what the heck. You told me you where not going to charge and she smiled and said oops. I then looked at the reviews which I should have done first and this place is by far the worst problems with fleas all sorts of problems. When you see the name red lion u expect a great place I can't believe cooperate is allowing this to be apart of a normal great place. I'm contacting cooperate about this hopefully they get ownership of this property and get to be the great place they usually are and get this bad pLace of there.

Room keys did not work. Tried a dozen different cards and eventually they provided a master key that opened other rooms. This is extremely un safe and probably illegal. Bedding had stains. Very limited towels. No ice bucket or cups. Stained carpet and food stuck on furniture. Door lock wasn't stable. Stayed 4 nights and never received any house keeping. Breakfast was very limited. Yogurt only 1 day of 4. No knives to spread condiments on toast. Day 3 I had to put out the condiments and cereal at 8am. Breakfast is 6 to 9am. Very poor experience and would no return or recommend.

First off the people running it were awesome! But as far as house cleaning, we had to ask for our room to get cleaned(don't know why, but when housekeeping cleaned it, she did an amazing job)! We did not get a restock of any toiletries at all! The people are super nice and respectful, but its lacking in initiative!!!

Hev stayed for years and every year the place and service gets worse. This time on the last day of our stay they got into an argument of some sort with a guest VERY PUBLICLY. they were screaming profanities in multiple languages for 30-45 minutes you could hear along the entire hotel. We will not be giving the place another shot anytime soon.

Staff was unfriendly. The only friendly individuals was the housekeeping. They charged me 78$ when they said I wouldn't be charged

I will never stay here again. I had 3 rooms reserved and they lost 1 of the reservations. 1 of the rooms was filthy. 1 of the rooms the TV wouldn’t work. No elevator to the 2nd floor. Had to drag heavy luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Tried calling front desk multiple times about TV , got no answer. Thank goodness only staying 1 night or would have left to someplace else.

The Nightshift front desk service was very very very poor at night you couldn't get a hold of anybody if you called the front desk you wouldn't get an answer it would ring once hang up and go straight to voicemail if you were locked out of your room he would tell you to wait until morning to get a new key and you would come and lock the door for you but he would have a bad attitude and acted as if he didn't want to help. I was going down to the front desk at night to get some ice and a couple utensils and paper plate and there's this lady sitting in the dining area she look like she had been sitting there for a while which I later found out she had been and she was locked out of her room for over an hour and a half with her phone completely dead after calling the front desk for 2 hours trying to reach somebody. Nobody even came and checked on the front desk nobody was even in the office it was as if nobody was even working there it was horrible. Eventually somebody came out and let her into her room but I can only imagine if that were me how that would feel I felt bad for the lady.

Close to freeway but alittle noisy.

This stay was everything you want & need. Though there did seem to be activities that made me question my vehicle's safety in the parking lot, no bad incident occurred.

I loved that there was a dog friendly place to walk your pet. The parking was very convenient. I had some issues with the key card, but all was good.

Easy and quick check-in. Surprisingly quiet for being next to the Interstate.

Nice property. Good location right off the interstate in Post Falls, Idaho. Close to where we were visiting family.

The hotel is fine. Nothing special but there's nothing terribly wrong with it, but it would definitely benefit from a refresh. There's a convenience store right next door, it's close to the freeway and fast food options and it's cheaper than a lot of the other options. The staff was friendly and they have a waffle maker at breakfast At the end of the day, it was an affordable option for renting 3 rooms and I'd definitely stay there again.

Check in was a breeze. Clean room. A bit of freeway noise at night but what do you expect next to I-90?!

This is a comfortable hotel. The hotel shows its age and is in need of a renovation. While the hotel offers a "breakfast", this "breakfast" is comprised of 2 sugary cereals (processed food), mini muffins (wrapped in plastic), bread, a sugary pastry (also wrapped in plastic), milk, waffle maker and coffee. IMO, it is nutritionally deficient and of poor quality. IMO they should revisit that offering. There are few breakfast options in the area. Now, the staff is pleasant and willing to assist. Last, there is no recycling at this facility. Accordingly, the eco score is low. Again, this can be another area to focus on.

Breakfast was very limited, even for a continental and not well stocked with things like creamer and napkins. Limited to toast and cereal and donettes. Bed was clean, shower was clean. Carpet needs to be replaced.Outer door was not secured. Doorbell off you want staff. Got what I paid for I guess.

My overall experience was very good. Check-in was great. My room was very clean and tidy. A refrigerator would’ve been nice, but not necessary. Overall property was clean and tidy, very quiet restful night sleep. The only thing that I think would need improvement for my opinion Would be the breakfast. It was very slim, meaning toast, donuts, waffles, it had nothing of a traditional, American breakfast like scrambled eggs and a little frozen sausages that many of the hotels provide for breakfast. They also had cereal and milk available other than that my stay was great I would come again or find a hotel that is a low price like the red lion that provides a better breakfast.

When we got there the room was not very well cleaned, there was what looked like boogers on the wall by the toilet, the bathroom was absolutely tiny. The free breakfast was a waffle maker, cereal, and yogurt. All self serve and very cheap. Service seemed good when we got there, until we had to wait a half hour on the front desk staff to assist us. All in all, I will never book another stay at a red lion.. and suggest others do the same until they address how terrible they run a buisness.

Complementary breakfast was less than. Limited selection, no juice bar, not hot breakfast items other than waffles.

After several stays at the Red Lion in Wenatchee WA and their awesome breakfast spread, I was disapointed with the breakfast options in Post falls. As I am a diabetic, I did not see a single item that I believed to be healthy for me.
