Super 8 by Wyndham Bourbonnais/Kankakee Area

This place is a dump! The pictures shown are nothing like the actual property-nothing shown in the pictures is true and this place is in need of much repair inside and out. The building has a terrible smell of mold. A room nearby had been smoking and we could smell it coming in our room after coming back from dinner. The pool was closed and no prior notice until you get to the front door. Water was dingy when turning the shower on. We wanted to check out immediately but there were no other hotels that had vacancy due to the local Universities Graduation-this the reason we were here-so we were stuck. Breakfast at the hotel was two choices of cereal and that’s it. I went to the front desk and the lady was very unfriendly-rolled her eyes at me and gave me a snotty sorry nothing I can do. This was the worst Super 8 we have ever experienced. I don’t know how the city hasn’t shut this place down!

Inexpensive. Staff was not overly friendly. Pool closed in July.

Ok. Except the pool was out of order. A better breakfast would be nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed..

No shower or pool .. Didn't try the breakfast. If I go again I stayed because of the convenience where it was at but I would want the pool and ask a shower would be working.

Y’all said there was a pool and there pool hasn’t worked in months to years

Your website said they had a pool and they have no pool there's no water at all in that damn pool said they haven't had a pool for a year so I think you need to update your stuff

My motel room air conditioning flter was caked with debris from lack of cleaning to began 2 With. 2nd problem is the vent had mold growing on it. Very Heath hazard if u ask me . Very poor house keeping room as well

The room was clean and comfortable although really cold when we entered (60 degrees). The strong smoke smell in the lobby and halls was really offputting. The lobby was really unwelcoming and dingy. The staff person checked us in quickly. Sad, sad breakfast! Went elsewhere.

I have stayed in a lot of motels over my lifetime, and this one is hands down the worst I have ever stayed in. Don't do it! The entire motel smells of cigarette smoke from the second you walk in the main entrance. The rooms were not clean. Hair in the sink. Cigarette burns on the comforter, filthy toilet. Also, hotels.com does not specify if the room is non-smoking. We requested to switch rooms when we arrived, but were told no rooms were available. The front desk clerk was very friendly, but unable to switch our room until the 2nd night of our stay. I purchased an air purifier, which helped some, but also was an additional expense we did not plan on. We moved to a non-smoking room on night 2, and it was absolutely no different than the first night. The clerk also promised a suite with a king size bed, but did not follow through with this either. The 2nd (non-smoking) room reeked of smoke. They offered to give me 30% off on my next stay. I declined, as that helps them out, not me. Not only will I never stay at this Super 8 again, I will never stay in another Super 8 anywhere. In our travels home, we stayed at a Quality Inn for $40 less per night, and it is incredible! Super clean, inviting, great continental breakfast, friendly staff. Save your money. Do not stay at this Super 8. It was absolutely disgusting! I wish I would have thought to take pictures of our first room. I did take a picture of the toilet in our 2nd room.

The hotel smelled awful. The room was wet with humidity. Set the air to 64 and by morning it was barely less. Front desk woman was very nice.

The room was very old, cigarette butn holes on the bedspread, all over in the carpet, even the shower curtain had a burn hole, it smelled terrible, my 5 year old daughter found a cigarette butt under the edge of the bed, the hallways smelled, very dirty and wont go back.

There were little black bugs flying around and while we sleeping the picture on the wall behind us fell on to us. Not happy

We will not choose this property again. Hallways, rooms, and lobby all smelled of smoke. Out-dated, poorly maintained. If you are looking to save money and can overlook sinks that back up, broken pieces, and the smoke then it might be a reasonable choice.

The air conditioning was on in the middle of the winter when I first checked in it took the three hours to warm up just a little bit. The room had no hot water and no washcloths.

We’ve been staying at the Super 8 in Bourbonnais for over 2 months now and we absolutely love the staff - Suresh, Jaime, Mary Jane, Michelle, and Nancy are all great people and make great coffee! We’ve very much enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them. I don’t recall ever having an issue with any of the rooms we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in many of them! :) We’ve very much enjoyed our stay at the Super 8 and it’s been a great place to have called home over these last 2 months. We appreciate everything that’s been done for us, and we will continue staying here for as long as we’re needing to.

Needs to sign on the road to say turn here. Otherwise you can drive right by it even with the GPS on.

The employees was amazing but the blankets was burnt by cigarettes was a bit dirty to the point that someone's old sock was still there and the breakfast was a 4/10
