Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview/Chicago Area

The property exterior was not what was expected and not sure it was detailed in the photographs. The hotel itself was older and perhaps in need of a remodeling or renovation. Linens were nice. Room carpet and restrooms seem dated. The TV was available however someone managed to have it out of focus and staff was not able to help in that situation.

Inexpensive stay. Everyone is always friendly. The building is always very clean although it seems old. Only issue is the bumps in doorways. Could do without the bumps for handicap accessibility but not a major issue

This hotel is outdated and in terrible condition. Our room smelled of Marijuana and the door had to be slammed in order to shut it. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and shower had mold in it. Not sure when the last time the carpet had been cleaned or vacuumed. The lighting was very dingy and room seemed dark. Didn't stay for the breakfast, but it didn't seem like they had much when we walked through the very small area. There is a Dunkin' Doughnut and McDonald's close!

This property is in need of an update. It looks old. At the very least, the carpets in the hallways and rooms need a deep cleaning or replacing. They look so dirty and disgusting!!! No way would we walk barefooted on them….or even in our socks!!! We would have checked out and found another place. However, we had prepaid and the money was not refundable. We will not stay here again.

Ok hotel. It has clean enough rooms. Very basic, no frills, but it is across from a McDonald’s so you can get a breakfast there.

Only stayed a night but had no problems besides the elevator not working right

I was bitten by bed bugs during my over night stay there, I didn't realize it till I was at the airport awaiting my early flight , and I didn't pay attention to the constant itching on my arms and legs until then

For them to have Roaches and up-charging is diabolical. I had to change my reservation due to flood warnings where I was coming from Someone said to me ( Yes they’ll change my reservations) then when (Expedia) called they wanted to upcharge me, then stopped answering the phone all together. I was out $150, they didn’t want to work with me nor wanted to give me my money back. So be careful booking with them, they have roaches

Very dirty . The sheets were not clean. The hotel itself was not clean. The staff were not extremely willing to help. The room keys and elevators did not work. The outlets inside the room also did not work. $100 fee was charged for deposit that I have not received back. The breakfast area was not clean and there were no plates and eating utensils readily available. Over all horrible stay.

So dirty I don’t think they changed the sheets and floors needs to be vacuumed. It’s very dirty. Would never consider staying at this place of refer it to a friend. Just filthy. And towels are old and dirty.

Very clean , comfortable room.

Room wasn’t vacuumed or dusted upon arrival, numerous garbage bags in hallway, multiple drug deals happening in the parking lot, felt very unsafe. Ended up checking out by 8pm after coming back from a funeral visitation.

I really appreciated the no smoking policy and the rooms did not smell like cigarette smoke. The linens were very fresh and smelled clean. The TV was terrible. could not watch a show without the internet failing. Housekeeping was great about giving me fresh towels and they were very friendly. Coffee pot was not usable. had residue.

Person next door playing loud music att 1am to 3 am Is ridiculous. Kept me up all night

The property has the friendliest staff I have ever met. However, it is quite old in terms of facility. The bathtub is dirty, and the AC is too cold. The WiFi has a speed of 1 MB/s, which is unusable.

The bed was great. The constant running toilet was not. There also wasn't any TV. We did tell the staff. After the first night they "fixed" the toilet. Didn't work. They said there was an Internet outage regarding the TV. There wasn't a phone in the room. Is that old-school now? The staff was super friendly and courteous!

Decent place to stay for the price. Our room was loud however as it was close to the elevator so there was a lot of foot traffic and banging noises. Otherwise the fridge and microwaved worked and the room was clean.

I could tell the property had been renovated based on the carpet in the hallways. I think more attention should be on updating the bathrooms. The walls above the shower have chipped paint that could easily be redone. The toilet is way too low for the average guest as well. There were 4 packages of decaf coffee and none of the regular coffee. But overall the stay was ok. I slept well.

Appears it might have been kicked in at some point?? The carpet was so old and had numerous stains. My room was above the front entrance and every time someone came through the front door, I heard it bang closed. The street noise was obnoxious too, so make sure you get a room on the back side. I booked this room last-minute due to its proximity to Midway airport. If you're needing a "sleep-cheap" near Midway, then it's ok, but don't plan on getting a lot of sleep. I'm sure it's rare, but a firetruck under your window isn't a fun alarm clock. Oh well, i made it to the airport in time and avoided Chicago's rush hour traffic, so not a total loss, i guess.

The room was clean but the night staff Adam was very rude I would not recommend anyone to stay there

I paid for my reservation in advance and when I arrived at the establishment they told me that it was simply not in the system and that they had no more rooms available.

The staff were amazing

I reserved my room before I got here, when we finally made it we got checked right in and got our keys in no time. They have friendly, easy going staff. The staff put my baby birthday cake in their fridge because the one in my room was too small for the half sheet cake. It’s clean here and the air is fresh. I would be glad to stay here again and I would most definitely recommend everyone to come enjoy a stay also, I know they wouldn’t regret it.

I checked in on a Friday night and the man working the desk did not even have the courtesy to speak beyond asking me if I had a reservation. I'm sure he only asked me that because there was a handwritten sign saying "No rooms available, Sold Out." After that, he went mute, he literally looked at my ID and gave me my room key. That was not a normal experience, no welcome, no greeting, not even a quick logistical rundown of where the elevator was located, etc. To make matters worse, the water in the tub/shower did not come on. Thank goodness the toilet and sink's water worked just fine. Since I was only staying the night, I suffered through. Needless to say, I do not recommend this hotel.

Very clean and safe area. Staff works extra hard to maintain the property and also super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was a total mess. Front desk staff stated she couldn’t find my reservation, then found the reservation, then stated it wasn’t paid for (it was. Showed her my Travelocity receipt.). She stated the “one time use card” that they get from the booking service wasn’t working or she couldn’t find it or whatever? We stood at the check in counter for almost 30 minutes while a line of people formed behind us. Was very uncomfortable. The facility itself was dirty and dated. The only redeeming thing was the comfort of the bed.

Great front desk help

We literally got robbed! Someone got into our room and took our belongings. So we checked in, went to our room, dropped our backpacks, use the restroom and left to get something to eat. We didn’t open our bags. We came back to our room and found a note “see front desk”, our keys didn’t work so I went downstairs. The front desk lady JUST told me she make me sign the wrong paperwork, I signed it and went back to my room. When we got into the room noticed my wife staff was on the desk and one of my shirts was on a chair. WFH! I called front desk to tell them we’re still in shock to find our staff out of our bags, in that moment the front desk lady told me she let other guests in our room “by mistake”. My perfume, Apple charging station and some makeup products were missing. Super 8 didn’t get responsable for anything and they told us these thieves were still in there but they can’t do anything. I guess they want us to sleep in the same roof with them. I have to call hotel.com to get relocated to a different hotel, they were a life saver because they kindly did it (shout-out to hotel.com costumer service) Until today we haven’t received any called from Super 8. Front desk lady was really rude with my wife which was in shock asking for answers, her last comment to my wife was “don’t be mad ma’am” which I replied “so you expect us to be jumping of happiness after all?” and check out. Don’t even think to book here if you want a good experience in Chicago.

Convenient location to our function.

Quiet, clean, close to airport but not congested traffic.

There was a lot of loitering and people drinking alcohol in the parking lot. That was very concerned to me because it was me and my young grandson alone. My reservation was also changed from a queen bed to a double bed without my consent.

This property is simply to be used if you are catching an early flight at the nearby airport. This is t something that should be considered for vacations. It’s very old building and the ceiling tiles were stained. Our bathroom toilet was so low to the ground and parts of the bathroom had questionable workmanship. There really isn’t any upkeep in this hotel.

Property was clean and quiet and staff accomidated my reqest for first floor room by upgrading me to a king size room without an extra charge. Breakfast was wonderful everyday.

They could do a little something with their so-called breakfast. All is it was, really can't explain

Perfectly decent room. It's old. But everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was awesome. Ordered from Durbin's per the room menu and it was good as well. Continental breakfast is literally toast and yogurt or cereal. Waffles didn't work. Nothing special. Just a decent room for a night's stay.

Most was very good, however, the staff are extremely noisy in the mornings. Our room was near check in & I guess there was a breakfast? So loud! I got in at 4am on Friday morning & the noise started shortly after for a few hours, the next day as well. We couldn't change our room due to the hotel being sold out. I suggest not getting a room on the first floor. As far as this so called free breakfast goes. No one told us what time & the only time I was there in the vicinity of time all there was, was waffles & cereal. No fruit, no yogurt no toast, no protein. I saw they stocked at night & only put in 8 yogurts for a sold out hotel! That makes no sense! We went to 7-11 every morning for breakfast. So noise & crap or nothing for free breakfast.

It was fine! Very central location. The condition is obviously dated with some cosmetic issues. Breakfast was decent. Little messy but not too bad

Rug was not nice. Breafast is very poor. Get more for your money at another place. If dont care about the breakfast. Take this. Bed are great.

Daily my door key card wasn't working & had to go to the front desk to resolve. Some occasions more than once it gets entry No fruit served during breakfast just lots of carbs. No restroom near lobby.

The room was perfectly fine, clean and well maintained. The linens and towels were clean and not worn. The room smelled clean. The breakfast was not good - I was there at 8am and the dining area was open until 9am, but the yogurt was gone, the milk for cereal and coffee tasted off, the eggs were gone, and the counter staff said they had run out of replacements from the supply fridge.
