WiFi was out, vending machines didn’t work. There’s no hot tub even tho the pictures showed a hot tub. House keeping woke us up before check out. Knocked on the door 5 times!!!! It wasn’t even time for us to check out yet!! Rude!

Pool was ice cold. Breakfast was not good. Beds are comfortable. Could not open the window due to lack of screen.

Following snowstorm, other area hotels cared for their entire parking lot. AmericInn barely touched just the lane.. it was very slick. Hot tub was out of order. It was near shopping and restaurants

We stayed at this hotel while passing through the area. It was fine for an inexpensive hotel. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were terrible! The hot tub was out of service. The hotel could use some updating and deep cleaning, but it wasn’t dirty or in bad shape. Breakfast was ok, some fresh fruit would have been appreciated. The staff was very friendly and quick at check-in and when we had a request. Convenient and safe location. Overall, we were comfortable for a night, but I’m not sure I would want to stay here for much longer than that.

The hotel lobby was clean & welcoming, & the receptionist was very polite. We booked this hotel far in advance as a last night's stay on our way home after a long family camping trip & specifically chose this hotel because it advertised a heated indoor pool & hot tub in the amenities (something the kids could enjoy after a 12-hour drive). We were staying one night & then driving the rest of the way home. When we arrived, we were told the pool was not open & may be open the next day after 11 am. In fact, the pool windows were covered with paper. There also wasn't a hot tub. It appears the hot tub had been tiled over a while ago. (See photo of different floor tiles under pool chairs.) Also, we booked for 4 people & the room was set-up with 3 bath towels, 3 hand towels, 2 washcloths & 2 coffee cups with service (see photo). The breakfast was a minimal continental one with bio-engineered "food" products & no healthy options (all yogurts had food coloring & natural flavors, eggs had the palest yellow yolks). Toilet in pool/lobby area had not been properly cleaned in a long time. I came down to the front desk & requested the extra towels & coffee service for our room, which the receptionist happy supplied. I then asked for a discount or partial refund due to the lack of pool & hot tub which were advertised but was told that because I booked the room on Travelocity, they had no way of providing one. After insisting on some compensation, the receptionist gave us a small cash amount.

While my stay was good and the room was clean. It stated that the location had a game room it did not. It showed a picture of a hot tub which they didn't have. Plus the indoor pools heater was broken which was the main reason I booked at this location.

Their pool is always broken. We really would have liked to swim. There was nothing stating it wasnt working when i booked.

As AmericInn's usually go, this property was kind of disappointing. While it was clean, lots of little thing that we dealt with as was just needed place to sleep. Outlets in bathroom weren't working, heating/cooling unit worked intermittently (finally got the fan to stay on, happy temps outside were moderate. Pool was out of order-heater not working (I know things like this happen-but pretty representative of this propery). Breakfast was a disappointment as the properties juice machine was out of order. The night of our stay there were tornado watches and severe storms in the area. Staff was seemingly unaware of what was going on "it was just wind". (60-70 mph winds and driving rain and lightning storm) Asked if there was a tornado area to go to, and the staff looked at me like I had two heads. Would recommend finding another property in the area to stay.

The staff was overall friendly, polite and nice. Attended to our inquiries and questions. Overall a family friendly atmosphere, especially with kids. Pool area was clean, have a small gym which comes in handy. Complimentary breakfast was also nice, have a variety to choose from.

The hotel smelled clean. Saying it has a fitness center is an oversell, pool was out of order, no hot tub. Our room was clean, beds were decent. Only complaint about the room was that the tub would not drain so when you take a shower, it also turns into a bath. And takes a while to drain after.

This hotel needs to be updated. The mattress needs replacing. The bathroom needed a good cleaning, the shower curtain had pinkish "stuff" growing on the bottom part. The shower head had black mold covering a section that stays wet and the tub didn't drain well, water was up over my ankles during my shower. The noise from the traffic was loud as was the a/c units on the back side of hotel.

I have stayed here two different times and now have seen 2 roaches in this place!! The first time I seen one it was in the hallway so I wasn’t as worried because I didn’t see any in the bedroom. The second time I stayed there was a roach crawling around the toilet!!! Do better!! Too much money to spend to stay with bugs!!!

Shower curtain moldy. Room Carpet had hole so careful not to trip. OK breakfast with variety options. Didn’t use pool. Comfy bed. More stars if moldy curtain replaced.

Stayed one night, room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly.

Mold on ceilings in our room

Found a bug at first we thought it was a bed bug turns out it was a roach. As we lifted the bed it was so nasty crumbs, hair, and a toe nail disgusting. We ended moving to another room but it wasn’t no better.

The staff was friendly but the cleanliness of the property was frightening. I arrived in the evening with children and luckily the beds were clean so we stuck it out for one night but the dirt and grime covering the floors and walls kept me awake all night. The rest of the building seemed to be in a shabby state as well. They did offer us another room but I could not spend another night there.

Worst hotel experience ever! The pictures on website look nice and modern but are all just stock photos. I killed 4 adult and one baby cockroaches in our room! I tried to leave to a different hotel,, but all others were booked in the area due to a county fair. The floors, refrigerator and bathtub were all dirty. There was blood on the pillowcases when we turned them over. The breakfast buffet was terrible. None of the pictures matched the website images. The bathroom was a dirty tub shower unit with a pedestal sink and plastic end table. Was told it was because we booked online and not with them that room was worst they had. Then they said it was because it was a handicap accessible room. Which, by the way, both rooms were at very far ends of halls with no exit door. Deadbolts on doors would not lock. Did not feel safe. Run away as fast as you can!

Hotels.com stated in this hotel's description that "all rooms with sitting area" is incorrect. We had to pay $25 more for the sitting room and had to take one that wasn't handicapped. Good size rooms with door between bedroom and sitting area. Beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows were hard as rocks. Breakfast was lacking in protein.

This is a basic hotel but was very clean. Everything was comfortable, but the bed was way too soft and bouncy. Tbe hotel is very quiet, but it is next to a highway with A LOT of road noise. And the shade doesn't quite block the light, so if those things don't bother you or you use ear plugs and a sleepmask, you're fine. It was good for a 1 night stay.

I could hear the interstate.

The room was quiet and clean except for the window and grout around the toilet and bathtub. The bed was comfortable. Our room wasn't very dark at night due to bright lighting on the front of the building that shined into our room around the sides of the window shade.

Shower did not work.

The room was clean and nicely furnished. The highway traffic was a little loud for me as I do not normally live by such a busy highway. The room was quiet in regards to other guests which was nice. There was a very nice breakfast supplied with a variety of different options for a guest to enjoy.

The overall stay was great the only issue was the tub held water when taking a shower

Our first stay at an AmericInn, this location was originally built as a Country Inn & Suites. When you are on a road trip, you need a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay and this hotel checked those boxes. Could use some updating, but our room was clean and comfortable. Nice location near shopping and not far to restaurants. We will likely use this hotel again.

The shower faucet sprayed water all the way across to mirror. Everything else worked great!

Quiet spacios rooms. Enough outlets and chargers.

We stopped by the hotel on our way to the tournament around 1:00. Just wanted to pop in and see if our room was ready and could we drop off our stuff early. We were told it would be an additional $15 charge if the room was ready. Umm if the room is already ready why are you charging me extra? We already paid over $200 for the night. No thanks. Our first impression of the room was walking into find a bunch of dead ladybugs bugs on the windowsill. The room was OK, bed was decent, but this is an older property in need of updating. We were on the highway side and it was loud when we turned the fan off. Staff was pleasant. And there was coffee available.

We have stayed here multiple times and each time we stay the facility seems dirtier and dirtier. The heating unit in our room made a horrible grinding noise causing disruptive sleep. The. bathtub mat came loose causing a horrible slipping issue as it was pure slime underneath. We brought these issues to the front desk and no note was made or concern shown.

They were very nice and offered bottled water. They upgraded us to a suite after a booking mistake.

Very friendly staff and excellent customer service at this property. I had driven almost 12 hours that day and was ready for some much-needed rest. I was offered a room away from other occupants so my stay would be as quiet as possible. Check-in was very efficient. After a wonderfully peaceful night, breakfast was great and I was offered a bottle of water as I left. Completely satisfied with my stay at this hotel.

Always happy to stay here when I'm in town. Room is always clean and staff is always helpful and friendly. Plus it's close to shopping :)

The rooms are spotless, and though we had an issue with a payment which was sent through strangely, everything else has been very awesome and well taken care of. I dont know if the gentleman is a manager or the owner but he came past while my husband's hands were quite full, and helped by opening the door to our room for him!! Very attentive service!!

Regardless of the ridiculous price, the toilet should've been clean prior to handing over a room key. In addition, there should also be hot water for the shower (the sink did have hot water). Worst if all, my complaints were brushed off. Ref the toilet: we'll let housekeeping know. Ref no hot water for the shower: it must be a third floor issue. There was no resolution, just excuses and brush off. I am angry with how much the room cost, and the lack of care about my complaints/concerns really irritates me.

A little pest problem. I called front desk to let them know to maybe see if I could switch rooms. The staff was inattentive to my problem. That's not hospitality.

I tried getting my money back from this place because i accidentally book this place twice on the same day i was in a different state.. they werent will to help so i lost my money.. dont trust this place. I travel alot with my family. My review is a zero

AmericInn Galesburg is a nice, clean place to stay while visiting Knox College. Staff is friendly, always room and it’s conveniently located near the highway, Target and HiVee grocery store.

I would stay at this property again. It’s a new family working on it and updating it. Was able to do laundry and the desk has quarters if you need them (exchange for dollar bills). Pool needs work but we did use it. Breakfast is included and coffee is in the lobby all the time. The hotel has no character because it’s at the back of a semi abandoned shopping center (was not unsafe at all, FYI), but it was right behind Target which was super convenient.

Manager was very friendly, besides having a room next to the highway the area was relatively quiet.

Good Galesburg hotel. Some minor things need to be fixed but you can tell the staff take pride and care. Not the most convenient area if you want to be downtown, but has lots of amenities nearby.

Out on the NW corner by the old mall, but not far from most things Galesburg. Decent room, Breakfast was okay, just not a huge variety.

We enjoy the quiet surroundings and feel safe in this location. I would recommend anyone to stay here over any of the other hotels in Galesburg that are on the cheaper end nightly.

Comfortable quiet stay. Great value breakfast is a little lacking

This property was a very good value for the price. It was clean and very quiet. The staff was very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was pretty decent, where you at least got hard boiled eggs to have protein. Only caution is that the owners who presumably lived there were cooking Indian food when we arrived, which could be noxious to some, but we did not mind.

Was nervous booking here because of the photos but let me tell you the photos don’t do this place justice. It looks very nice on the outside and the inside. Our hotel room was very nice and updated definitely worth the money. My only complaint is the breakfast options are limited and the showerhead was outdated but other than that I would definitely stay here again.

This location is clean and the staff is friendly, although we did have to request housekeeping after the room had not been attended to after 4 days. There is zero variety in the breakfast offered, which would have been appreciated by folks like us who were there for an extended stay (10 days).

Fine for our needs. Good breakfast and friendly people at front desk.
