Everything about it was fine. I did not pick up on the fact that they do not offer a complimentary breakfast (rooms have kitchenettes, and there is some microwavable food available for purchase). Probably wouldn't have stayed here if I'd realized that, but if you don't care about that, its otherwise very comfortable and pleasant.

Great service, the cleanest rooms, the property is well maintained and quiet. Theres tons of parking, and i personally love the kitchen and the snack bar of goodies for sale. This is so nice for long stays especially if you're visiting loved one from the Navy Base. Its about 20 minutes from there. I will definitely be returning.

The room was adequate. However, when we checked out we were charged five dollars for parking which was Never communicated as we pre-paid our room. REALLY- charging to park in a small town not a tourist area!!!

Great staff Plenty of parking, well maintained even during a snow storm Only caveat is the only close place to eat is Wendy's Its not really far to restaurants, but if you don't know the area and arrive late it feels isolated! Pet friendly too! Even in the little on-site store.

Windows were full of cobwebs, dust on pretty much every surface that isn't used daily, stainless steel in be bathroom was filthy, toilet had a ring in it, stink bugs in the sofa, dust on the TVs and in the closets, and debris in the corners of the kitchen floor...

The staff were amazing & extremely accommodating. The property on the other hand, very outdated. The check in was fast. When I got to the room it was clean, the tv wasn’t working l, I called the front desk and within minutes the attendant was there to fix it. However, after being there for about an hour, there was a stink bug Ansley a couple fake lady bugs. Called the desk again and my room was changed without hesitation. The next room was decent & on the surface was clean. There was hair in the shower on the soap dish. There were also dark spots in the crevices of the tub. I ended up leaving a day early, I just didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there another night.

We thought we’d found a decent place at first. Unfortunately, our bathroom trash was filled with used feminine hygiene products. Which had a question the cleanliness of everything. The WiFi in our room was very bad. I had to go sit in the laundry room for decent coverage. Why are they charging for parking? The area is not limited in space? The kitchen worked. We slept well. Relatively quiet room and comfortable bed. Lots of smokers and dogs at the property. But the internet and lack of cleaning make it a place I won’t stay again.

The room was extremely dated and did not look like the pictures in and app. The tub drained very slowly after showers and the HVAC was also on the fritz. The room stayed at 82 degrees. We also encountered 2 roaches in our first room and had to be moved, only to encounter more roaches. We left in the middle of the night to go to a better hotel.

When i ck in the dishwasher was loaded with dirty Dishes . And when we opened the sleeper sofa it was filled with crunbs and the cover was dirty , Rhe only thing that was exceptional Was the Girl at check in don,t remember her name but we checked in around 4 pm on the 17rh of June. The whole building smelled and was pretty run down. The room was clean enough, but there were flying bugs in it, and the rooms had been thoroughly used. After arriving, I was surprised by the high ratings. The bed was comfortable.

Loved it here! Such a nice and afforable stay and the room was loaded with amenities! Only complaint is the walls are thin, so you could hear everything in the hallway or the neighboring rooms

In the time I was here this is a working hotel in that showers start at 5 AM. You can hear plumbing and other guests so try to go to bed "early".

The suite itself was nice, with a bedroom door that closed, very spacious. Sofa bed mattress was cheap and not comfortable. Great for an extended stay if you don't need the sofa bed No one at the front desk 90 percent of the time. It's pet friendly and there were all kinds of fragrance around the hotel, to mask the pet smells maybe. Carpet in halls looked worn. For some reason the elevator was at one of the hotel, very long walk to our room at the other end.

We had issues with the heat and air the last 2 nights of the stay. The room became very warm at night but thought it was due to the hugh humidity and us being out all day. The room got up to 76 the last night we stayed and thats alittle too warm. We came from Texas to Chicago and everyone and everything was amazing

Everything was great - just be sure to ask for a room away from the elevator...the "ding" of the elevator was a bit annoying. I would have moved if I was going to be there more than one night.

the true highlight of my stay was SUCH great service - definitely the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Delaney was especially so sweet! I had a bit of trouble getting into my room due to the battery in the door lock being finicky, but Delaney was ON IT and switched my room, even following me to it to check if the door opened properly. Rooms themselves are super spacious & clean, and I felt very safe in the building and the area surrounding it. Beds are very comfy. 100000 stars all around, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Lack of accessibility: The disability accessible room had three levels of flooring. So every time my friend who was in a wheelchair had to get from kitchen level to the bathroom, I had to push, same with the bedroom. Lack of service: We had one person sleeping in bedroom and one on the pullout sofa-bed in the living room. There was no bedding for the sofa-bed in the room. It took three trips to the front desk to get all the appropriate bedding - trip one - told the bedding was in the room I had not looked in the right place - result Return trip to say there is no bedding in closets or drawers. trip two - received a bag of bedding to put on sofa-bed; trip three - no top sheet in bedding bag, requested top sheet and received it. Also made a trip to the front desk to ask for another pillow for the sofa-bed, (there was one, but I needed two), was told we had to do with the pillows in the room they could not give me another pillow. I brought my 2 care pillows in for my friend to use with the pillows already on her bed. I ended up with one pillow, when I really needed two - due to my disability. 3 out of 4 staff were very helpful. General comments: Room - It was quiet and we appreciated that. Liked having a kitchen and we were able to get extra coffee packets. The room actually had a handicapped accessible bathroom with bars by the toilet - just a bit difficult to get into the bathroom. Entry - Missed outside front & back doors that opened when you push the button.

Everything was great except Liz at reception. I drove 7 hours from out of state and i got to the hotel late and she chewed me out that i should have checked in earlier and said I'd have to pay for 2 night. Last thing i wanted to deal with at 230 am. I wanted to go to bed. Won't go there again.

We were not informed ahead of time and at our second day at hotel that “room/maid” service was only available every eight days for our room. We booked a three night stay and went to the front desk for towels. Knowing this ahead of time, would have been helpful. Very friendly staff. We purchased hard boiled eggs from on-site store that were quite out of date. Luckily we were not charged. Wish the freshness had been monitored as even one bite was very unpleasant.

I would not recommend this hotel. Desk attendants were rude, facility is not maintained, and the restriction on housekeeping is cause for us to never stay here again. We were restriced to 3 bath towels for 3 people. The entire place smelled like an attempt to mask smoke and indian food with air fresheners.

Sonesta provided the perfect go between, between Mundelein and Gurnee and Carmel. I was in town for an event and stayed out to make it more convenient. Sonesta is about a 10 min drive to Mundelein Metra (straight down US 45). Room was comfy with a kitchen to make your own food or to keep food and drinks refrigerated during the stay.

Nice hotel nearby lake county fairgrounds. Check in was smooth and lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. A plus is that it is a dog friendly hotel. We did not bring our pup but it is very welcoming for them as well. Thank you.

Industrial park location. Very quiet. Room was nice. Very spartan for a suite. No furniture other than the bed and a desk chair. Also no coffee provided in the morning. May want to change your cover photo. However there is a coffee maker in your room. No housekeeping on our 3 night stay.

We were So Grateful that it was in a Safe & Quiet, Clean Area. It was Peaceful. We were there to watch our daughter Graduate from the Naval Base (Which was just miles straight down from the base). It felt like Home and we definitely will use them again! 50 Stars for all the good things. To top it off, A Really Amazing Mexican Restaurant, Cocina De Maria was right down the street! The Best Mexican food & great pricing! (That really made it feel like Home) I recommend definitely Sonesta Suites! Great Location & Staff too. :) Thank you for making our stay Wonderful

Everything about it was fine. I did not pick up on the fact that they do not offer a complimentary breakfast (rooms have kitchenettes, and there is some microwavable food available for purchase). Probably wouldn't have stayed here if I'd realized that, but if you don't care about that, its otherwise very comfortable and pleasant.

Front desk was very warm and welcoming. Everyone on site was courteous and polite. Room was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The onsite store is exactly what the sign says "everything you need & nothing you don't" Slept great and really enjoyed the stay.

The only thing is if they would have coffee in the lobby. Thats the only downfall. There was coffee in the room but that was gone by the first day.

We were not informed ahead of time and at our second day at hotel that “room/maid” service was only available every eight days for our room. We booked a three night stay and went to the front desk for towels. Knowing this ahead of time, would have been helpful. Very friendly staff. We purchased hard boiled eggs from on-site store that were quite out of date. Luckily we were not charged. Wish the freshness had been monitored as even one bite was very unpleasant.

The bed was comfortable but the pillows too soft. The room was spacious like a hotel room with the added bonus of a kitchenette. I really liked the kitchenette and having access to a store 24/7. The room was mostly quiet, however, as I walked to my room I heard someone lose their temper, yelling loudly. They were in the room next to mine but I couldn't hear anything from inside my room. This property is right on a major highway. Even though there is a bus stop right outside, there's no sidewalks and the bus doesn't run on Sundays. There's nowhere to walk to so bring your own food if you don't have a car. It was convenient to a friend's house so I didn't need a car or anything really except the microwave, some milk and a bottle of water and a bed to sleep in. It was nice and quite inside in spite of the highway. I heard some inside noise a little bit on Sunday morning but Monday morning was very quiet. The fresh popped popcorn in the lobby was a nice touch. I will probably stay here again next time I visit Libertyville.

We really liked staying here and would again. We liked the adjoining rooms. The air conditioner, once we learned the thermostat was on the wall was good. Did not care for the coffee you supplied us with, the coffee downstairs was much better.

Usually I would say that it was excellent, but they have been doing renovations, so we were unable to use the elevator and we were on the third floor, so we had to go up the stairs, which wasn’t bad until we checked out and had to carry everything down the stairs!

I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and reliability at this establishment. I secured and paid for a reservation three weeks before my out-of-town trip. Upon arriving in the evening, I was informed that my room had been given away. While the staff had plenty of excuses for the error, they offered zero assistance, support, or alternative accommodations. As a result, I was forced to return home that very night. I highly advise booking elsewhere if you need a guaranteed place to stay.

Be aware if you reserve a room here. I had made a reservation to this hotel 3 months ago. When I arrived at the hotel at 7:15 pm, I was informed that our reservation had been cancelled and the room given to someone else. Our friend also had a separate reservation and was cancelled. At no point did the clerk indicate that the hotel bore any responsibility. She also informed us that managers do not work weekends. She seemed to indicate that it was our fault because we used a 3rd party reservation system, the hotel was under renovation and had less available rooms, and she didn't have our phone number to call us at 3pm to tell us they were cancelling (not a help). She did not offer to find us a room in another hotel, likely because it was a major holiday weekend and no rooms were to be had. We had to drive home in the dark country roads and not attend the second half of our event. We have stayed at this location for 20+ years, but will never stay again. We were inside the 24 hr no cancellation time, so they would have been paid anyway. They made little extra money & lost customers for life. The clerk gave me the name of J&P Hospitality Management LLC as the owners, but I found out they are the management firm. We were likely a victim of their algorithms, so we will be avoiding any hotel that uses their systems since we are clearly vulnerable to being cancelled.
