Great location and nice area. We stayed on our way home from an event about 45 minutes away. The hotel is well maintained and has extras like a pool, workout room, restaurant/bar.

Really comfortable bed and pillows! Extremely clean. Massive pool. No hot tub unfortunately but pool was a great temp. You have to pay extra for breakfast which was a bit meh. Really quiet property. Cookies were amazing! (including the allergen ones). Staff was great. Wifi was a bit hard to access due to having to create an account to use it but it took a while.

Very nice hotel. The check in was easy and I love the cookies. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is dated however, well maintained. When ever I stay at hotels I look at how clean the common areas are including the elevator and stairs they are doing a great job. The pool was awesome just the towel situation is weird. Had a drink at the bar which is reasonably priced and friendly staffed. Breakfast was okay not to writed home about. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

A little outdated but clean, nice, and rooms were very large. Beds super comfortable. They have a good sized indoor pool. Staff were nice and great. We enjoyed our stay while visiting Six Flags

Even though they closed their main restaurant the pub has pretty good food and great bartenders. Room was nice. Breakfast is a buffet or you can order from menu.

Very nice quiet place, but a little dated on the decor. Also there is no hotel transportation so the Lyft or Uber is the only option to and from Airport. The dining is limited at the hotel and surrounding area. But overall not bad.

Older hotel, but the room was clean and comfortable. Nice amenities: pool, gym, free Wi-Fi, mini fridge, and more. Loved the onsite pub/restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive.

I can't believe what passes for 4 star. This was a huge disappointment on our Anniversary stay. Very limited TV channels, no available shuttle, no bathroom fan, pool area is a hot mess. Outdated, small room. I would not recommend this hotel.

It needs a refresh. Worn flooring, a persistent deisel smell in the central stair. The breakfast was ok- rubbery pancakes, for instance. While the site claims room service there is none.

The hotel has bed odor throughout. Desk and wood surfaces were sticky to the touch. The carpet, panels and furniture were outdated and worn. We were surprised that Hilton name was attached to such a poor quality place. Decided not to eat there. We will not be back.

It was nice staying in a really clean hotel. Having a clean bathroom especially shower, clean sheets, clean furniture which should be hotel standard, but is not in hotels close to the double tree. The lady working the front desk when I checked in Friday afternoon was very pleasant even after dealing with a difficult guest in front of me.

A mixed bag. The staff was great and the pool was nice. The water pressure was good too. But the TV was below par, the toilet was very low to the ground, there were not many outlets for charging, and it is just an older facility in general. The internet was constantly a problem and the refrigerator would not get anything very cold, and it had no controls to change that. The bed was very comfortable though. There was also no microwave in the room, and the ironing board and iron were very cheap and even defective - a hazard.

Upon entering, there is a nice fireplace setting and a huge lobby. The decor is very woodsy and in the Arts and Crafts style. There were Pay phone booths along the large corridor. The room they gave us was directly adjacent to the elevator shaft. We had noise all night long. When we complained about it, we were told that we had not specified that we did not want to be near an elevator shaft! The room was on the second floor, and looked directly into the glass roof of the outdoor pool, with overhead lights on all night. We like to be awakened by natural daylight, but it was impossible due to the light shining in our room. The inferior room made me wonder if it was due to the third-party booking? Our room was big, but they installed two huge Stickly type lounge chairs at the foot of each bed. I came home with bruises on both legs from running into the arms of the chairs in the middle of the night. The queen size beds were soft and we rolled toward the middle. The windows were nice and big but one was in need of replacement due to the damaged glass that was mostly scratched. The staff however was very nice and allowed us to do a 2 PM check out.

If you are coming for bootcamp graduation I would suggest staying somewhere closer as it is about 30 min drive away. Hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. Air conditioners are very very noisy which made it hard to sleep. No microwave in the room so if you want to heat up leftovers you have to go all the way down stairs to the lobby area. Buffet breakfast good but not with $15. Not a lot to eat or do in the area.

I booked thru Expedia and The Hotel charged me as well as Expedia so I double paid. I called and no one in the buidling could fix it. Now I have to call again and spend time out of my day to fix an error the hotel made. Great clean hotel, but he error is frustratingly annoying! I was told card was for incidentals only at checkin so thought nothing of it till I saw my bank statement. Hoping the Hotel or Expedia will get this fixed asap.

Best hotel option by far in the area for a reasonable price. A bit older but still nice- staff was very friendly and helpful. Mundelein itself doesn't have a ton going for it so you'll likely be driving/taking an uber to get to places

For being an older property it was well kept, check in staff was friendly, room smelled clean when we got there and after every cleaning. Towels were soft and it wasn’t too far(about 20 minutes drive) from Navy Recruit Training which was the purpose of our visit.

For being an older property it was well kept, check in staff was friendly, room smelled clean when we got there and after every cleaning. Towels were soft and it wasn’t too far(about 20 minutes drive) from Navy Recruit Training which was the purpose of our visit.

We have a great Stay at this Double Tree. It's definitely on the older but overall great experience. It was very quiet, even though it seemed like the place was full. Very close to everything, a short drive to target, Macy's, and dining options.

If you are coming for bootcamp graduation I would suggest staying somewhere closer as it is about 30 min drive away. Hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. Air conditioners are very very noisy which made it hard to sleep. No microwave in the room so if you want to heat up leftovers you have to go all the way down stairs to the lobby area. Buffet breakfast good but not with $15. Not a lot to eat or do in the area.

Really comfortable bed and pillows! Extremely clean. Massive pool. No hot tub unfortunately but pool was a great temp. You have to pay extra for breakfast which was a bit meh. Really quiet property. Cookies were amazing! (including the allergen ones). Staff was great. Wifi was a bit hard to access due to having to create an account to use it but it took a while.

Very nice hotel. The check in was easy and I love the cookies. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is dated however, well maintained. When ever I stay at hotels I look at how clean the common areas are including the elevator and stairs they are doing a great job. The pool was awesome just the towel situation is weird. Had a drink at the bar which is reasonably priced and friendly staffed. Breakfast was okay not to writed home about. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

Very outdated. It was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly. They charge you 15 dollars for a "breakfast buffet" which was equivalent to a free continental breakfast in other hotels. If your an early riser you can't get coffee before 6:30. Was kind of disappointed with this hotel

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was in need of maintenance, the elevator had issues, the breakfast was lackluster considering the price, Expedia didn't let us know that breakfast was an extra fee. The heater in the room had one fan setting, always running on high, it blew cold air at all times, which isn't pleasant when it's snowing outside. The food at the pub was tasty and the bartender was friendly.

I had a wonderful room with a king bed and a lovely bath. It was little dated but I enjoyed it. When I made reservations I was told I would be getting free breakfast in the morning came down to get breakfast and was told they didn’t see it anywhere so I had to come out of my pocket for breakfast for 3 kids for 2 days I was upset but I had to feed the kids

Room was nice sized, bed was comfortable. Problems came when it was time to go to sleep. This hotel allows pets and there was a dog in the room next to ours that whined and barked until quite late, and also a couple times during the night. When we tried to call the front desk about it, we realized the phone in our room did not work. So we had to call the hotel from our cell. We were told to “let them know” if the dog noise problem continued; they didn’t do anything in that moment. The air conditioning unit in the room worked fine, but it was very loud. Felt like we had a running truck engine in the room. When we checked out, we told the front desk staff about the barking dog, broken phone and noisy AC unit. He apologized, but because we had prepaid for the room and weren’t part of the Hilton honors program, he couldn’t refund anything or give us points. So, we left after barely sleeping most of the night.
