Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Schaumburg, IL

Wonderful lady working the front desk, very accommodating. Rooms are clean and spacious. Good location off I90 and near woodfield mall. We were looking forward to using the pool and hot tub, but unfortunately they were closed for renovations.

Clean room breakfast not the best

Nice enough, clean and efficient layout. Easy to find. Beds were comfortable and the room was basic, but clean. Breakfast was also standard continental fare for low end hotels, nothing to write home about but not bad. Checkout process was easy. Main issue was a bit of deferred maintenance on the property -- some of which they were addressing (redoing the pool, for example, but that meant we were not able to use it!)

The hotel is older but it seems like they have been updating it. The room looked fresh and clean and updated. But we were not told about the ongoing renovation. My nephew had been looking forward to the indoor pool. I picked it bc of that and it was not disclosed that it was under renovation. So we had to pay to take him somewhere to swim bc he’s young and didn’t understand. They also started working at a little after 7 in the morning and it woke us up bc we were close to the pool area. And they were redoing the parking lot so you had to drive all the way around the back to get to the front door. Overall not bad for the price but I really wish the renovation was disclosed before booking.

The pool was down but staff was nice enough to let us use the hot tub one afternoon. The room was clean and staff was great!
