Not staying here again. The hot tub wasn’t working, the pool was cold, we were limited to the number of TINY pool towels we could have for use. The orange juice dispenser was broken, the laundry room facility was out of service, the facet in our room was dangerously wobbly. The light in the bathroom was so dim we thought a bulb was out and needed to be replaced- turned out that was all the output the light could do. Do I have ANYTHING positive to say? The one staff member we met was nice. She spent a lot of time in the guest lounge area.

No elevator, yet all King beds are on 2nd floor. We were not informed at check-in that the hot tub heater was broken, so we suited up and went down there after a long day only to be disappointed. Breakfast was all carbs, no fruit and the juice machine was broken. Cheapest child size plastic forks and spoons I ever saw. Exceptionally clean rooms and friendly staff.

We liked the quality and size of the room. We liked the family diner and gas stations close by. We liked easy access to/from I-90. We liked the indoor pool and hot tub. It would be even better if pool towels were easily accessible and always available. One night we did not use these amenities because they were out of towels. One night we did use, but we had to wait at the front desk for the towels. Seemed uncomfortable and a little inconvenient to get towels for responsible, mature adults. We love the price and the fact that breakfast is included! It would be even better if the limited breakfast items were replenished as needed, especially on weekend mornings. There were no issues on Thursday and Friday morning, but on Saturday morning the hot food was low or empty and the front desk person was responsible for replenishing the food and it was too much for him to do by himself. We liked the free, self-parking. We liked the quiet atmosphere of the hotel and the safe feeling of the area. We liked the closeness to bike trails.

The hotel room had someone's sock laying on the floor closet and the top of a deordorant container laying on the floor. The hot tub was closed off so we couldn't use that. It seems a fuse blew in the breakfast area so we were unable to eat and the person at the counter, although very apologetic, was unable to fix it. There was also a lot of noises (pinging and knocking) throughout the night. The kids enjoyed the pool but when it came time to rinse off back in the room, the bathtub was not draining properly. The room layout was very crowded.

Even though the place was a no smoking place our room smelled like smoke and mildew. We had a king size room that was nothing more than two queen size beds with one removed. And a king bed replaced. No couch, no chair, chairs and table. Nothing. No sense in wasting your money on a king size bed grade. There were no vending machines And only two way gets to the second floor, and those were at the very end of the hallways so if you’re looking to get up and down the stairs, you have to enter the second floor at the ends of the hotel. The continental breakfast area was nothing more than one large table and a sign saying do not bring food to your room. Highly recommend finding somewhere different to stay.

There was a bag of garbage at the entry door, the air vent inside the entry door was covered with black dust/dirt. when we checked in they gave us a room that was not cleaned there were chairs on the bed and cleaning supply basket sitting inside the door. they put us in a different room which was for wheelchair use (we do not need a wheelchair) The sink seemed too low. The light in the bathroom could not be turned.

Staff was great. Internet didn’t work most the time. Nobody came by room for cleaning the whole week we were there. I got the hotel because of the Wyndham name and it didn't live up to the name, but as for just a Super 8, it was above average.

I reserved a room with a king bed. They did not have one when I got there. They offered no discount for their error. The sheets were stained. The floor had not been vacuumed. There was toothpaste residue in the sink. The towel bar was loose in the bathroom. There was a bug in the tub. Tub did not drain well. There was hair in the hair dryer. Room was outdated. Price was ridiculously high. I guess it was a holiday weekend or something in October. The biscuits for breakfast were hard as rock. We did not use the pool but the water looked murky. I would not recommend this motel.

Four cars in parking lot, very low occupancy for the night. Placed us in a room with an adjoining room door. Came back from an evening out and volume level on tv next door was outrageous. Had to leave our tv on to drown out noise. Next morning the person next door was on phone and we could not only hear them, but every word the person on the phone had said, When bringing up the low occupancy rate up and placing us in an adjoining room to the clerk, he said that this was for the convenience of the cleaning staff. He said that there was nothing he could do and did not apologize. If you are looking for a hotel that prioritizes the cleaning staffs comfort over yours, this is the place.

The room had a bit of a funky smell but fortunately you could open the window and that made a difference. The room was big and clean and the bed very comfortable. The small swimming pool was also a plus, didn't even expect that. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The Sparta Family Restaurant across the street is superb. Make sure to leave room for their cheesecake.

You could tell the rooms had been upgraded and were clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a disappointment. There were no plates so those who had waffles had to balance them on a Styrofoam bowl. The coffee maker wasn't working. No one was paying attention to when breakfast items needed to be renewed without someone telling them. The desk clerk acted quickly when notified of a need. Overall, though it was pretty quiet. We went out for breakfast the 2nd morning. Dorine's Cafe. It was great!

My experience with this hotel was horrific. I showed up at the hotel tired and hungry after an 11-hour drive only to learn that I can’t stay there because I’m traveling with a cat. The hotel was clearly marked as pet-friendly online and the pet policy on the website didn’t say anything about cats not being allowed. The staff presented me with two options: look for another hotel or leave my cat in the car in February in Wisconsin - yes, that’s how welcoming and “pet-friendly” they are (animal cruelty would be a better term). I ended up having to drive for another hour to find available accommodation in the area. If that wasn’t enough, they even REJECTED A REFUND request for this stay that didn’t happen due to their undocumented rules. If you want to be treated with at least a bit of respect, book your stay elsewhere. I can only imagine how attentive the staff is to other issues.

Was convenient-breakfast fair. Should fix the safety chain rail on our room as it was damaged. No one available at front desk at check out early morning -after repeated attempts to contact… 15 minutes… someone showed up as I was leaving the key cards.

When we arrived the staff was helpful. We checked in on a friday for a three night stay. When we got into our room there was a couple of problems that needed fixed a light bulb was out above the vanity mirror and the toilet seat was broke. I called the desk and they said they would fix it. Called the desk twice in two day and said someone needs to fix the toilet seat or somebody is going to get hurt and i went to use it and it slid off and cracked my knee on the wall. that is when we checked out because no one cared about the broken items and that is why people get hurt. I told the front desk and he said that the manager is the only to fix the problems and he showed me the list of items.We checked out early and tried to find another hotel to no avail so we had our weekend ruined and could not finish our trip to the Cran festival.

At check in I was told of a 30.00 dollar up charge for having a service dog. After a long discussion the manage was called and decided I would not be charged this time. Then two room numbers were written in key card, neither of those rooms were mine. After going back to the front desk twice I was told the card works but for a completely different room. Once in room, smoke detector was beeping, were I was told they would just remove it for the night. The toilet ran water all night.

Very friendly desk person..she recommended several restaurants...room clean quiet and comfortable with added amenities of frig, microwave and safe for longer stays. Breakfast was a nice perk but ran out of hot food within an hour ..will still stay again on our way to Twin Cities...

We liked the quality and size of the room. We liked the family diner and gas stations close by. We liked easy access to/from I-90. We liked the indoor pool and hot tub. It would be even better if pool towels were easily accessible and always available. One night we did not use these amenities because they were out of towels. One night we did use, but we had to wait at the front desk for the towels. Seemed uncomfortable and a little inconvenient to get towels for responsible, mature adults. We love the price and the fact that breakfast is included! It would be even better if the limited breakfast items were replenished as needed, especially on weekend mornings. There were no issues on Thursday and Friday morning, but on Saturday morning the hot food was low or empty and the front desk person was responsible for replenishing the food and it was too much for him to do by himself. We liked the free, self-parking. We liked the quiet atmosphere of the hotel and the safe feeling of the area. We liked the closeness to bike trails.

Comfortable room and close to many places in Sparta, including the bike trail. The pool is small, so if there are a lot of people swimming, it would be crowded quickly. Wood walls in pool area need new varnish. The many plants are very pretty though. Breakfast was pretty good.

It was a great room. The hotel was right off the interstate. It was very clean and the employees were very helpful and quick. We had been kayaking and hiking in the area. It was conveniently located next to trails for biking, arcs and kayaking or tubing. Very pretty area. Nice bed and relax after playing.

We have no complaints. The pool and hot tub were perfect temperature. The staff friendly and helpful. Our small dog had a grassy area to walk. Outdoor grills if you want to cook your own food. Breakfast was delicious. Waffles, eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, yogurt,boiled eggs, toast,peanut butter, english muffins, cereal, poppyseed muffins, etc. 24/7 coffee. We plan a return trip and do hope we find a room available. The bike trails were very close, one parking area 4 minutes away.

Breakfast included Belgian waffle maker as well as biscuits and gravy -much better than some others--hot items may vary. Only traveling through so only there for one night but would definitely stay again. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the indoor pool or outdoor patio areas that looked very inviting.

You could tell the rooms had been upgraded and were clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a disappointment. There were no plates so those who had waffles had to balance them on a Styrofoam bowl. The coffee maker wasn't working. No one was paying attention to when breakfast items needed to be renewed without someone telling them. The desk clerk acted quickly when notified of a need. Overall, though it was pretty quiet. We went out for breakfast the 2nd morning. Dorine's Cafe. It was great!

I have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed my experience. Clean, friendly & accommodating. When I went to check in I was greeted by a man on a screen, apparently we are now doing things virtually. During check in I could no longer hear him. A staff person showed up but I still had to use the virtual guy that was located in Chicago. When I asked for a room on the first floor he said no but the on site person said they could get me a room. It was a Sunday and there were only 4 vehicles in the parking lot. I'm not sure what the purpose is of having a kiosk to check in but I definitely didn't like it.

I did not like the kiosk check in! The first room I was given had total cat piss smell in it, and was unbearable i had to get a different room far away from that one. Breakfast service was very low on many items. No plates, no forks, food not replenished was only 8:30.

This place was awful. I took pictures of stain's on the furniture. The blankets were so worn.They haven't been changed to new ones in years. Do not stay here.

At this Super 8 they have a kiosk for check in due to staffing shortages which is very unfortunate. It worked out fine for me but I feel bad for older people who do not use Technology. It is very uncomfortable and intimidating. I wish they would change up their breakfast rather than always having the same thing. Plus should change the cereals to low or no sugar healthier choices.

These rooms stunk like armpits. The pool had things growing in it. I took my sandle off in the room and the carpet was damp so I wore shoes the whole time. Tried to find another room at another hotel but there wasn't any available. The book in the room said breakfast was served till 10:00 am but when I got there at 9 they were cleaning up and informed us that they closed at 9. What I say here is no exaggeration nor hyperbole. I will not be going here again and staying at another Motel 8 is doubtfull.
