Best Western PLUS Sparta Trail Lodge

This hotel is very basic.And located away from town. No frills. It did have a kid friendly pool that was not open. We would stay here again. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was simple but all we needed. The breakfast area was clean and very well attended to.

Furniture was in really bad shape. Pool was out of order

Pool was closed. No warning about it being closed. Was told it said on the website that it was closed. Didn't look at the website, just looked on hotel com.

We chose this hotel specifically because of the indoor pool, which is prominently shown in the main photos and listed as an available amenity. Only after arrival did we learn that the pool has been unavailable since February 6, 2026. While this is mentioned in the amenities section, it is not clearly highlighted before booking, and the pool is still presented as a key feature. This was disappointing, especially when traveling with a child. Please make this information more visible to avoid disappointing future guests.

This will be the last time I ever use a Expedia. Checked in at the hotel to find out that the pool, hot tub and spa area was closed and stayed closed my entire stay. That was the only reason I booked at that particular hotel still had to pay full price and my vacation was ruined. Why wasn’t this information made available prior to checking in?
