The staff was great from start to finish! Parking was excellent and convenient, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. Even the laundry facility appeared well-maintained, although I didn’t personally use it. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved: 1. Fitness Center – The gym equipment really needs an upgrade. The treadmills were loud and outdated, while the stair-master, stationary bikes, and elliptical were all out of order. 2. Luggage Carts – There simply weren’t enough available. Most of the time they were in use, and with my room located a good distance away, this made moving luggage inconvenient. 3. Snack & Drink Options – The selection was very limited and rarely stocked, which was disappointing. Overall, the service and cleanliness made the stay pleasant, but the amenities could use some serious attention to bring the experience up to a higher standard.

The room was spacious and clean. Loved the full-size recliner!! Didn't really have any cleaning service to speak of but no worries, as I'm capable to throw out my own garbage, get new towels and get TP and kleenex at the front desk. Although, many at the front desk spent a lot of time out-front smoking and on-break. The parking lot, needs resurfacing..although the $5/day fee may be raised to cover the cost? I'd probably come back as it's close to many things I like and the cost is fair.

There was a dirty face towel hanging on shower curtain, trash on top of cabinet in bathroom. Other than that it was ok, don’t like that the room hardly has any thing in there, and no ice machine, elevator not that convenient. No drive up as well. Will probably never stay at this particular Sonesta because of the location and lack of amenities

The property seems tired and not well maintained. We received no housekeeping services while we were there for three days. Front desk staff was often absent. Many rules seemed designed for protection such as no public restroom in the lobby area — which inconvenience guests who are staying there. There are many other better options in this safe suburban area; we will choose another next time.

Nice staff and convenient location. Smells in room, including cooking odors. Some noise. They charge you $5.30 per day for parking, which is not shown on Hotels.com or on their own web site. I was not told about this when I checked. No other hotel Naperville/Warrenville has ever charged me for parking.

Beds are good, convenient location, nice staff. Can be noisy. Lots of smells, including cooking from other units. Towels will not dry out,but desk will provide clean towels. Laundry now requires that you download an app and put money on an account in order to use washers and dryers. Seems cumbersome to us, so we just waited until our next hotel that had a fast coin op machine, for less than half the cost of Sonesta laundry. Desk told us after the fact there is a $5.30 daily charge for parking, which I did not find anywhere when booking. No other hotel in this area has ever charged us for park8ng.

This hotel is awful. Don’t be fooled by the pics. They are very old. This place was filthy. It smelled like human urine the moment I walked in. And there were two roaches running across the kitchen counter the moment I flipped the light on. Went in the bathroom… roach on the wall. I posted the pics on my google review. Then went to the bed… spider on the wall next to the bed. There was dried up vomit in the hallway the whole time I was there. I know the staff saw it because I saw her at the end of the hallway changing a garbage bag. And her only way back to the main area was to walk right past it. When I approached her and told her about the roaches, she told me that the Orkin man was just there to spray. Which tells me that they are aware of the issue. The place was just disgustingly dirty. Please do not stay here. I do not know how corporate has not shut this place down yet. The prices are decent but for an extra $30 you can go sleep peacefully in the Hyatt up the street.

Was a bit let down staying at this location. It felt dated and sleepy. The front entrance had a cheap smelling fake fragrance as soon as you walked in. Bathroom in room had multiple hairs in the shower/tub and on the shampoo bottles which made everything feel dirty. Kitchen area had obvious water damage on the floor that had been long ignored. They also did not allow any control over the room temperature. The thermostat was locked and didn’t even show a reading when looking at it. The air simply came on and off every so often. Wouldn’t stay here again based off these items.

Stay was pretty good besides the hole hotel smelling like weed. Other than that it was ok. Room was clean but the bathroom floor by the toilet was dipped. Tiles were loose.

The hotel had nothing stocked in their store at the entrance. Garbage and food was all over the hallway floors. The second floor smelled terribly of marijuana, and you can hear people screaming from their rooms as we walked to our room.

Sonesta Suites was one of the less expensive options and you get what you pay for. The grounds were neglected with overgrown plants, the smell in the hallways was offensive, and the gym was not well maintained (elliptical did not work and 15 lb weights missing). Our room was worn and the bathroom tile was broken and floor around the toilet was caving in. The beds were clean and comfortable but the overall condition of the Suites made it difficult to relax. We would not recommend.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the front desk. If it wasn't for them, we would have asked for our money back. Upon check-in, the system was not working properly so it took almost 20min to check in (again, the staff was very kind and apologetic so we were not upset with them). The building itself had a very strong perfume odor, which was almost nauseating. Our room smelled as well. Our ice machine was broken. Upon entering our room, I noticed the toilet had not been flushed making us wonder if the room had been cleaned at all. Our second night we ended up having roaches on our counter which was disgusting!!!! I would have switched rooms but it was late and we just wanted to sleep and get out as fast as we could. Again, the staff was kind but we will never stay here again. It was VERY disappointing. And having to pay for parking while they have an entire parking lot is ridiculous

I spent a considerable amount of money for one night in a suite, which was more than most places in the area, and I wasn’t happy about the condition of the room. There were rusty light fixtures and other metal fixtures in the bathroom. The floor tiles were loose and in bad condition with missing grout. Damage to the walls, furniture, and other items that don’t seem to be maintained well for a good guest experience. Overall, I wasn’t happy with the condition of the room given the price. If the price was much lower, then it would not have been an issue. However, when you are charging above or much more than the going rate, then the condition and maintenance needs to be better. The front desk staff were very nice and professional.

Bedroom and living room were separated by walls which was like home. We just loved it!!

It was my first time staying at a Sonesta, and I literally called my wife and exclaimed, they have a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop and large workspace!!!what?! I travel all the time for work and we travel often for pleasure, and I have to say that this was the best amenities for an affordable price that I have ever encountered.

To start positive-The beds were comfortable and the suite itself was roomy. Manager on site was very very friendly! Now- The signs posted upon driving in about not being responsible for theft started us off with an eerie feeling. Bathtub was plugged. The entire stairwell and second floor smelled of pot. HUGE pot party in room 201. I saw at least 15 people going in and out and I will not be back because of that. Trash bins at end of halls were all over flowing.

The staff was great from start to finish! Parking was excellent and convenient, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. Even the laundry facility appeared well-maintained, although I didn’t personally use it. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved: 1. Fitness Center – The gym equipment really needs an upgrade. The treadmills were loud and outdated, while the stair-master, stationary bikes, and elliptical were all out of order. 2. Luggage Carts – There simply weren’t enough available. Most of the time they were in use, and with my room located a good distance away, this made moving luggage inconvenient. 3. Snack & Drink Options – The selection was very limited and rarely stocked, which was disappointing. Overall, the service and cleanliness made the stay pleasant, but the amenities could use some serious attention to bring the experience up to a higher standard.

Upon arrival a very rude employee greeted me with “I can’t check you in right now our system is down” and after asking her a few questions she refused to help me and literally walked away. Another very nice employee stepped in and had no problem checking me in. So tell me why one could help and the other refused. She has no business doing that job with her attitude.

This place looked terrible. The hotel was booked using hotels.com. My family arrived, we were from out of state and needed some where to stay for the night. We drive drove to across the city to stay here only to be told our reservation was canceled because they did not have any rooms for us. We were not notified of this cancellation. Gone front desk was not helpful all they would tell us is the room was canceled and we would have to deal with hotels.com. The place did not look clean at all. We were left trying to find a place to stay in the middle of the night. Hotels.com did not seem to care about this as no compensation for having to drive all over in the middle of the night. They did not seem to worried about the fact they charged me $200 for a room that was canceled 5 mins after booking, but no notification was given. They stated my bank should be refunded in 7-10 days. This place was garbage and in my opinion so was hotels.com

Had made a reservation, got to the location was told to WAIT 10 minutes. Cause I had just made the reservation. Reservation don’t take more than 30 minutes to show up or for them to get an email. First and last time staying at this place with rude staff.

The property seems tired and not well maintained. We received no housekeeping services while we were there for three days. Front desk staff was often absent. Many rules seemed designed for protection such as no public restroom in the lobby area — which inconvenience guests who are staying there. There are many other better options in this safe suburban area; we will choose another next time.

Staff member Anthony was very friendly and prompt in helping us with an overflowing toilet issue. My most significant negative comment on this stay was I didn't get any sleep. There were extremely loud conversations/yelling in the hallway right outside my door. We were on the main level and very close to the front desk so I'm not sure why it wasn't handled. At some points during the night, it sounded like it would get violent. It was pretty scary considering I had my 5yr old with me. The yelling was persistent from 11pm to approx 4am. It was never handled once and I know the front desk heard it themselves because we were so close. We had been traveling for several hours and were absolutely exhausted, but got zero sleep not just from the noise, but from actual concern that violence would break out by the way it sounded. It was a very clean facility and friendly staff.

I reserved this hotel without knowing the Chicago area. Id been told Naperville was a pretty decent area, so because ot was one of the less expensive in rhe area, I booked. I did not realize that its one of those hotels that local people live in for extended periods of time. It was older but they seem to do what they can to keep it clean. I sucked it up and stayed and the people working there were nice. If you just need an inexpensive, no frills, lobby, daily maid service, etc you will be ok fir a couple of days. Its still in a decent area and felt pretty safe.

The room was spacious and clean. Loved the full-size recliner!! Didn't really have any cleaning service to speak of but no worries, as I'm capable to throw out my own garbage, get new towels and get TP and kleenex at the front desk. Although, many at the front desk spent a lot of time out-front smoking and on-break. The parking lot, needs resurfacing..although the $5/day fee may be raised to cover the cost? I'd probably come back as it's close to many things I like and the cost is fair.

Nice staff and convenient location. Smells in room, including cooking odors. Some noise. They charge you $5.30 per day for parking, which is not shown on Hotels.com or on their own web site. I was not told about this when I checked. No other hotel Naperville/Warrenville has ever charged me for parking.

The gentleman at the front desk at check in the as super friendly and welcoming. We checked in late and carpets in the halls were pretty dirty, with trash and just unswept. The room was okay, a little on the older side and looked its age, but it was decorated fine. There was something spilled down the front of the dresser that had dried and looked a bit nasty. The remote was absolutely disgusting, we didn’t use it so not a big deal, but it really needed cleaned. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and everything worked. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and water pressure was great with plenty of hot water. There was no coffee maker in the room, which was a little bothersome and the soda at the front desk was drastically overpriced at $4 for 16oz bottle. Overall, I did feel the price for the room was good, especially when compared to others in the area. It’s a basic room at a fair price, as long as you don’t expect perfection.

The hotel had nothing stocked in their store at the entrance. Garbage and food was all over the hallway floors. The second floor smelled terribly of marijuana, and you can hear people screaming from their rooms as we walked to our room.

The room was very dirty. It looked like nobody did the cleaning for a long time. Dust on the night stand. Stains on the kitchen appliances, table and inside the toilet, strains of hair by the sink. Some items are missing, including hairdryer, utensils etc. I took the problems to the receptionist and she was nice and apologetic, but it was not her fault. Anyway, I will not go back to this place or recommend anyone to go there.
