Room has had some minor updates, bed was comfortable. Towels were too small and thin… view was of a corn field which was better than a parking lot and some what relaxing. Tv channel selection was good enough, couldn’t figure out why some regular channels were in Spanish. Didn’t wake up early enough for the breakfast. Was a bummer to not have an elevator as I was in second floor. Quiet enough

Property smells both outside and inside. Pulling up to the hotel, the parking lot and building are run down. You can tell they’re working to renovate. Front desk was extremely friendly and check in went smoothly. Room didn’t smell, thankfully, and it was quiet. A/C worked well and hot water didn’t run out during shower. This worked for this stay, but I wouldn’t stay here, again.

Me and my wife where up itching all night, most likely bed bugs, Hallways smelled, no ac in hotel itself, window open in room so was hot and muggy, took hours to cool off, paid 170 bucks for a complete dump, place is more a spot for hookers and drug users, cook county jail is cleaner and a better nights sleep, bed was so uncomfortable that we both are still feeling it two days later. place needs be leveled that`s how bad it was. I was out there for a wedding at barn which was beautiful and a great time only to ruined by nights stay at the local motel 8 dump. So if attending anything out book at holiday in or hampton in asap so you dont have to stay at that dump. And price was 170.00 bucks which this place is a crackhead hotel worth 50 and deal with it Im also not the type of person to ever write a review but people must be warned never stay there, sleep in your car over this place. oh and when I walk in to check in they have currency exchange window for after hours that was when i knew i had f^^ked up and staying in a dump! And i was going to try there free break feast and add food poisoning to my stay. I saw a gallon off syrup with as hand pump just sitting out. broken chair in lobby etc I just said to myself one night cant be that bad, boy was i wrong!

I was truly repulsed by the pure disgust of the property as a whole. It was 98° outside both days and the hallway air conditioning units were set at 83°! I wasn’t sure whether it was a mistake or if some other guest must have changed it. I changed it to what I thought was a reasonable temperature at 75° to wake up to it being set once again at 83°. The shower fixture was literally removed from the wall and dangling from the pipe. The included breakfast was inedible and looked like it had been thrown back in a dirty plastic bag for days until it was finally eaten. The bananas, the cheapest fruit in the world were more brown and black than yellow and the grocery store was directly across the street. The front door is littered with over 100 cigarettes, not a good look for a non smoking hotel. I was afraid to say anything about the hotel because I prepaid for it. What a mistake. 2 nights in a “crack house” hotel for a grand total of $325 including tax. I feared for my safety as well as for my car to not be stolen. I should have spent the extra $$$$ and stayed somewhere else.

The first room we were given had visible mold on the bedding. We had to argue with the staff to get them to even check it out. We couldn’t get our money back - they refused - so they gave us another room. Second room was filthy, towels were disgusting. and the stench of mildew in the room was suffocating. I left there sicker than a dog.

We noticed that garbage was not emptied in the room, the bedding on one of the beds was very unkempt, like a child made it, the skirting was haphazardly tucked in here and there, there were lumps in sheet under blanket, not pulled up to the top and what looked like light blood stains on bottom border of bedding. Towels and wash cloths could be whitened, they were dingy.

Nice property! Room did stink. Smelt like dog. Stains on carpet. Maybe shampoo carpet more often. Soap scrum in bath tub. I work in Environmental Services at a hospital. So i know what to look for. All in all it wasn’t bad except for the smell. Had to air out the room by opening the windows.

Bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet's only hot item was waffles. Too man men just hanging around in the parking lot all the time. I got the impression they lived there. Very you girl checked me in didn’t understand English. Will not stay there again.

Rooms had old soiled carpet. Breakfast was good but very limited, waffle machine, 2 cereals, 2 juices, coffee, bread, and apples. Booked 2 nights but wouldn't let me cancel second night. TV didn't work, but called front desk and she came down and fixed it.

I honestly only stayed here because I didn’t have any other options as this was the only place available. My room was clean but there was grime and goo on the walls. It really needs an update and good cleaning.

Pros: Hotel was clean, room was sufficient, in a convenient location. Cons: beds were very uncomfortable - for that reason alone, I would not stay again. Also, the breakfast was lacking. I understand they are sticking with pre-packaged foods, but it was mostly all carbs, and not very good ones at that.

The bed sunk to the middle. Also, the "free coffee and breakfast" was hugely disappointing, even for a 2 star hotel. The coffee was more like stained water. There was little in the way of food ..... cereal, maybe an apple or two, 2 pieces of bread (literally just 2 pieces), and waffles. We would not stay at this property again.

Room was not ready at 3:00 pm check in but was in about 20 minutes. Hotel was pretty simple but very clean and was affordable. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here with a concert at the Sandwich Fair, good location.

People going in and out all night and morning...... no sleep to be had. Room had a horrible smell and the AC unit made clanking noises throughout the night. Seems like this hotel is the local junky hangout. If you're in the area and this is your only option......sleep in your car. On top of everything no response from management about the issues. I wanted to give them a chance before giving them their well deserved review!

People going in and out all night and morning...... no sleep to be had. Room had a horrible smell and the AC unit made clanking noises throughout the night. Seems like this hotel is the local junky hangout. If you're in the area and this is your only option......sleep in your car. On top of everything no response from management about the issues. I wanted to give them a chance before giving them their well deserved review!

Room was not ready at 3:00 pm check in but was in about 20 minutes. Hotel was pretty simple but very clean and was affordable. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here with a concert at the Sandwich Fair, good location.

Within minutes of some really good and unique dining options. Motel was clean...especially appreciated the clean smell that wasn't the gaggy smell of Fabuloso! Also appreciated the quiet.

Had an Accessibility room which I requested. Easy in and out of tub. And pulling self up off of toilet. Convenient location for visiting relatives in the area. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast. Coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, packaged doughnut, and apple.

The area was good and easy to walk and find eating places. Breakfast was very basic. Should be improved. Room had a hot tub with jets but the jets didn’t work. Overall ok!

People going in and out all night and morning...... no sleep to be had. Room had a horrible smell and the AC unit made clanking noises throughout the night. Seems like this hotel is the local junky hangout. If you're in the area and this is your only option......sleep in your car. On top of everything no response from management about the issues. I wanted to give them a chance before giving them their well deserved review!

Property smells both outside and inside. Pulling up to the hotel, the parking lot and building are run down. You can tell they’re working to renovate. Front desk was extremely friendly and check in went smoothly. Room didn’t smell, thankfully, and it was quiet. A/C worked well and hot water didn’t run out during shower. This worked for this stay, but I wouldn’t stay here, again.

I was truly repulsed by the pure disgust of the property as a whole. It was 98° outside both days and the hallway air conditioning units were set at 83°! I wasn’t sure whether it was a mistake or if some other guest must have changed it. I changed it to what I thought was a reasonable temperature at 75° to wake up to it being set once again at 83°. The shower fixture was literally removed from the wall and dangling from the pipe. The included breakfast was inedible and looked like it had been thrown back in a dirty plastic bag for days until it was finally eaten. The bananas, the cheapest fruit in the world were more brown and black than yellow and the grocery store was directly across the street. The front door is littered with over 100 cigarettes, not a good look for a non smoking hotel. I was afraid to say anything about the hotel because I prepaid for it. What a mistake. 2 nights in a “crack house” hotel for a grand total of $325 including tax. I feared for my safety as well as for my car to not be stolen. I should have spent the extra $$$$ and stayed somewhere else.

Rooms had old soiled carpet. Breakfast was good but very limited, waffle machine, 2 cereals, 2 juices, coffee, bread, and apples. Booked 2 nights but wouldn't let me cancel second night. TV didn't work, but called front desk and she came down and fixed it.

Pros: Hotel was clean, room was sufficient, in a convenient location. Cons: beds were very uncomfortable - for that reason alone, I would not stay again. Also, the breakfast was lacking. I understand they are sticking with pre-packaged foods, but it was mostly all carbs, and not very good ones at that.

The food was expired. The apple and cranberry juice was expired. The shower water in room 222 smells like sewer. I took a shower and my hair and my body smelled liked sewer. The only breakfast food available was waffles and cereal at 8:35 am. I asked the staff to please taste this juice and they said it was fine. It was not me and 4 other guests smelled the water and they all said it tasted bad and expired.

Overall, this hotel is not the worst we've stayed at, but it needs improvement in many areas. The hallways are scuffed and in need of a paint job. The breakfast was only cereal, granola bars, fruit, and beverages. While our room was clean and somewhat comfortable, the in-room fridge motor ran loudly all night and kept waking us up. The staff was pleasant, however. If you only want a place just to sleep, this would be it. Otherwise, spend a little more and get more.

Was not a fancy hotel. Kind of dated. But clean, quiet...bed was not terrible, no breakfast to speak of. If your looking for a clean room to lay your head for the night would recommend.

The bed sunk to the middle. Also, the "free coffee and breakfast" was hugely disappointing, even for a 2 star hotel. The coffee was more like stained water. There was little in the way of food ..... cereal, maybe an apple or two, 2 pieces of bread (literally just 2 pieces), and waffles. We would not stay at this property again.

The room and hotel seem to be clean but we were their for 2 days and were just watching tv on low & they kept bothering us saying it's a sleeping hotel & we're disturbing other people... I'm sure if you are aware im there for 2 days, I'm not going to sleep the entire time!!! When I ran into other guests in close proximity of me & asked were we disturbing them to the point of complaints & they all said no... So the whole situation was weird & uncomfortable!!

It was a bit dumpy but served the overnight purpose. Didn't like that a bag of trash was at the stairwell the entire time we were there. The staff were friendly, though. So, that's something. It was ok.

I absolutely have no idea how this hotel had a 7.6 rating and the Hotel Montcler in the actual town of Sandwich where we were trying to find somewhere in the first place, had a 5.2! Just baffling… arrived to this awful place that Wyndham should be ashamed to have in its catalog and our first room stunk of weed, cigarettes, depression and bad decisions. We called down and the staff member seemed to be aware and came up with a key for a room a couple doors away. This room at least didn’t stink, but within minutes we discovered the bathroom light and fan combo was ill fitting, uncovered, and sooooooo loud. We literally had to use the bathroom in the dark to have peace and quiet. The bed was thin and flat and came with three small and thin pillows. The place was dingy and tired looking. I would never have stayed here and I sure don’t know how it got anything over a 3 out of 10 rating. Absolutely a waste of money. The front desk area is cluttered and the breakfast area was small and unappealing so we didn’t bother eating there. Vending machines were either empty Or out of order. Someone put garbage outside of their room that included dirty diapers and the next day they were still there, just disgusting. This hotel should be ashamed of opening its doors to people and operating. It was gross and we were disappointed.

The breakfast was less than desirable. Only hot item was waffles that you made yourself. Should offer more items such as additional fresh fruit other than apples. Yogurt would be nice as an option. No napkins or paper towels available. Was liking for a fork for a lunchtime meal and there was nothing available. Overall this was a mediocre hotel. Will not stay again if in the area.
