Hampton Inn & Suites Ft. Wayne-North

The place was dirty, excercise room closed, guest dryer broken, no kleenex refills for 8 days. I love staying at Hampton Inn but wouldn't stay at this one again.

The breakfast area was clean and nice but the pool was closed, construction up and down the hallways was very cluttered and messy, the business center was out of order. The room itself was nice

Stayed for the weekend after 4 days on the road moving our daughter to Fort Wayne from CA. We had a King Suite and it was beautiful! Very private spacious bedroom with a king bed and tv, nice separate living room with a pull out couch for our adult daughter, nice vanity space with a separate bathroom and nice shower, and a kitchenette with a table, sink, and small fridge and freezer. It was like a little apartment for the weekend… just perfect! (And great AC!) Great lap pool and full gym with everything you need for a good workout, including treadmills, a Pelaton style bike, full weight rack and a bosa and yoga ball. Really nice. Full breakfast buffet with lots of options… waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, muffins, bagels with cream cheese, yogurt, milk, juice, and coffee! Very friendly staff! Rhonda, the manager on duty, was very sweet, housekeeping was very friendly, and our new favorite friend, Phil, who took care of the breakfast area, was SO great!! (Love him!) Be sure to tell him Debbi says hi! ;-) The hotel is in a good location, right near the freeway, with lots of food options in the area and a great variety of restaurants, including a Starbucks right down the street! And Costco is just over the freeway… free breakfast every morning at the hotel and Costco chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner! What more could a person need?! =) We will definitely be back again… thanx for a great stay! P.S. Love the cure coffee cups! They made me smile!!

Didn't like that the pool was closed and didn't find out until check in, guess I should have called prior to arrival. Hallways looked a little unkept, cove base coming off the bottom of the walls.

I have used the same location/hotel for years. Although I am not one for bad reviews/complaints….this location has gone downhill as far as a few things. The biggest issue besides cleanliness, was the pool. We booked for a NYE swim since they have always kept the pool open until midnight….the pool was so cold that their lips were turning blue. Not even lukewarm. No one was swimming for this very reason. There were also zero towels. ZERO. We had to go to the front desk both days to get towels. Again, I have always used this location…always have had a great experience. Hopefully the issues are resolved and something is done to get it back up to what it used to be.

The property was under construction and the pool was closed down. When arriving the front desk didn't let us know this at all...We had to find out after paying for the hotel.. Expedia couldn't help us either.

The AC did not seem to work properly, i had it set to 66 and was sweating at night. Seemed like the fan would only run once every 30 min. Areas of mold in bathroom. Cricket in bathroom. Odd smell like an older house. Bathroom seemed grimy.

Upon arrival there was no one to check people in and we had to wait a long time. The entire hotel smelled. The carpeting in hallways was stained and filthy. The overall cleanliness was the worst we’ve seen at any Hampton Inn. The parking lot felt unsafe and we felt hesitant to park our car in the back. We would never recommend anyone stay here.

The bathroom in our room was absolutely disgusting. There was black mold in the caulk of the shower and the shower curtain looked like it had not been washed in a while as it had the yellow line across the bottom. It smelled so bad, the screen to our window was not installed and there was no safety closure other than the window lock. The desk and TV stand had not been cleaned or sanitized. It is not somewhere I would stay again.

Fantastic staff. Very professional and helpful. Property is a little run down and not what I would expect from a Hampton Inn & Suites. The bathtub seal is black around the edges & there is damage to the bathroom floor from a previous apparent leak. The hallway carpeting is visibly dirty. I was looking forward to a soak in the tub, but I will definitely skip it.

Carpet was filthy. Tub needed re caulking. Tile floor had broken tile. Bathroom ceiling leaked water from upper floor.

Room 222 had bed bugs.

The floor hadn't been swept, there were dirty socks from the last person still on the floor, there was black mold around the shower, the carpet was missing a large section, the water pressure was low, and some of the floor tiles were broken and just placed back. Additionally during the breakfast the potatoes were raw and cold.

When we got here we got into the room. It was not vacuum. It was food still left in the fridge from the previous people stain holes in the wall dust bunnies everywhere

This place needs updating! Carpet in hallways were filthy. Black mold/mildew around tub….baseboards and window dirty….UGH. No freezer in refrigerator, no microwave, toilet flapper leaking, pool was cold because they were adding cold water. Breakfast was good.

The bed was super comfortable. There was some kind of candy bar pieces on the bathroom floor. Stains on the bedding. Carpet was questionable as well. Someone was smoking pot on our floor when we walked in. Not a terrible place to stay but expected better.

We have always had good experiences at Hampton Inn. This one needs updating, including new carpet in the halls and rooms. Our room AC was extremely noisy, and our toilet was super slow to flush. We arrived late for check-in and would have asked for another room, but it was late and we were tired. I’m confident these issues would have been remedied. We politely let them know when we were checking out.

Had to get used to sound of traffic coming from the highway

The rooms are above and beyond spacious and clean and it probably wouldn't bother most people but that road noise was a bit too much.

I would stay at this place again. The only thing I didn’t like was that our room was towards the back of the hotel facing towards the Interstate. It was noisy even at night. However, we bought earplugs, and that solved the problem.

The room was good and the bed was comfortable. My less than excellent rating is due to the loud road noise. The hotel is back to back with I69. We were in room 319, the side facing the interstate. I wore foam ear plugs and used a pillow over my head, but still the noise kept me awake. My husband slept fine, but he can’t hear much without hearing aids. Besides the noise, the room was fine.

Our room was somewhat updated and clean. We appreciated the desk and table space. The beds where comfortable and excellent lighting and counter space in the bathroom.

Room wasn't ready at checkin, blackout shade fell down in the middle of the night.

Front desk staff was very friendly. One of the lower weekend rates in the area and the room was clean and updated. Nice pool and great breakfast choices. The gentleman that tended to breakfast was very kind as well.

Had a great stay here while traveling across the country. I forgot some valuables there and the staff was extremely helpful in getting them back to me. Highly recommend!

We arrived after 3PM for check in and there was a line of people waiting on rooms to be cleaned for check in. It was an hour and a half before we were able to get checked in. We had some place to be, so we were unable to rest before we had to run back out the door. Our shower also wasn't draining we had to wait for that to be resolved. It was very inconvenient, but the staff was doing their best to get the rooms ready. I probably wouldn't stay there again.

I checked in Friday night after a long drive. I got to my room and it was facing the highway, and very noisy. I called down to the front desk and the attendant upgraded me to a king suite on the backside of the building. Now that’s customer service!!! Also, I’d like to add that Phil the breakfast attendant, is an amazing, kind man who adds great value to this establishment! I will be returning to this hotel to see him again. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing trip!

We arrived at the hotel after midnight... The lady at the desk Aisha was taking forever to issue our key cards even though there was no one else but us waiting to enter our room. After about 10 minutes I told Aisha that we are very tired...then after 5 more minutes I asked why is it taking so long... Aisha with an attitude blamed her computer (so far not a single apology for holding us up, by the way). Twenty minutes went by then Aisha finally issued two programmable door key cards to us but when we arrived at the room on the 4th floor the key cards opened a door that was locked from the inside! Apparently someone else was staying at that room... Aisha came up and found us, took the original card keys back then after 7 minutes returned with two replacement keys and sent us to another room. Mind you I am handicapped walking with crutches... it was painful and very tiresome being delayed for so long, sent to a wrong room, given the wrong cards, then given different cards and sent to another room! The only time Aisha hurriedly apologized was when she gave us the replacement cards on the 4th floor. Next day we checked out early... I mentioned to Ms Penny at the desk what happened... again instead of apologizing she blamed the computer's erratic behavior... as if we customers should be held equally accountable for the failure of mangmt to keep computers in working condition! We should have checked in at the Wyndham next door which is less costly & probably have better service!

The main thing that we did not while at 11am we are trying to fix our things and the cleaning person knock on our door and we said we are getting ready and after 2 mins they knocked again and we told them again that we are getting ready. after 2 mins they tried to open the door and to think we had it double locked and the door banged on the door stopper. That was inappropriate to do when we already told her that we are getting ready. If we did not have the door stopper and if we are naked the cleaning person will see us. This is the first time in our lifetime staying on hotels that someone tried to open our door while we were inside and just gathering our things. Me and my husband was really upset. We did not say anything at the front desk and we just checked out and left. The staff at the front desk when checked in and check out are really nice and friendly but the old gentleman that was helping a lot during breakfast was super nice and very accommodating and friendly. We love to go back because of them but the cleaning person help us decide not to go back

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful

We reserved a room with 2 queen bed, when we arrived they stepped to give us a room with 1 king bed. When we discussed this with staff, they tried to say that the only other room available was one with no heat. Eventually they found one to put us in, unfortunately it was the room closest to the highway. During our stay the hotel was undergoing Renovations, so they're were materials everywhere. Thankfully our stay was only one night

Great staff, wonderful room with good parking. Easy on and off the highway, and even though there was a high school team of athletes staying there, it was thoroughly quiet and everything got handled quickly. I would stay here again without a problem.

We were located on the 4th floor on the side by the highway. It was very noisy all night long. Other than that the trip was very good. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly.

Convenience and location

Location was very centrally located. Easy to get to our destination. We were in town for a sporting event. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend.

Different items for breakfast.

Room was very clean. However had some paint spots not completed. You do hear the interstate traffic. Breakfast was a nice selection but was over seasoned and not good. Air conditioner worked great. Check in/out when great. However probably will not stay again.

Breakfast was a nightmare. Came down to get food around 9am this morning and they were out of coffee, and all the food. It took about 20 mins to get all the food restocked & within 5 minutes they were all out again. Our bathroom in our hotel room was extremely dirty & gross.

Overall, complimentary breakfast was great, egg omelets/boiled, sausage and roasted potatoes, cereal, juice, bagels, pastries, not bad at all. Staff was friendly, room was clean but shower was not cleaned- moldy. Nice small pool and workout area.
