Elevaror not working, washing machine not working, breakfasts not good

Placed on fourth floor, then told that the elevator was out of service. With a bad knee it made for a miserable experience. Advertos

The motel is undergoing remodeling at this time, so no pool.

The rooms were hot and humid. The “gym” was very hot, had no water and no towels. No one ever came and emptied the trash during our 3 days, so we just stacked our trash by the elevator, which is what everyone else was doing. They told us to just leave our towels in the hall. Wet. Others did the same so the hall smelled of wet towels. The entire ceiling fell out of the room with the ice machine and made that unavailable. Water and muck were everywhere. My son got sick from breakfast one morning (we’re thinking it was the yogurt). And the washer didn’t work. Aside from having beds and a place to leave our stuff, this wasn’t a pleasant stay. We got the absolute bare minimum.

Pool was dirty, large parties that used it the night before left their garbage. It wasn’t cleaned up until noon the next day. when I asked the staff when the pool was last cleaned, they said I don’t know. the room was OK but everywhere else in the hotel was dirty. The desk clerk would not complete my check out until housekeeping my room. I had planned on staying three days, after the first day, I wanted a refund, hotels.com was of no assistance.

This hotel did not have a working elevator and we were not told about it until we checked in. We booked through Expedia which did not specify that the elevator was not working either. They booked us on the 4th floor and expected us to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. I advised them I just had knee replacement surgery and couldn't walk, let lone carry luggage up stairs. They couldn't accommodate a 1st floor room. I asked for a refund and both the hotel and Expedia gave refused. Awful service from Best Western and Expedia.

The cable was out… and we had to change hotels… my husband missed the Monday night football game, he was not happy driving all day so he could see that game, and some one hit a pole and there went the TV ! No TV the next morning either and we just moved to another hotel that afternoon!!

My room had no towels—ZERO. The place was run down and dingy. They advertise having an EV charging station but it hasn’t worked “in a long time.” The location in Indy isn’t bad. But I will never stay at this hotel again.

This hotel looks nicer than the typical Best Western Plus, but our stay was less than satisfactory. The elevator wasn't working, so we were forced to walk to the third floor. No apology or explanation or urgency to fix the problem apparently. The room was clean enough, but no HD channels and the TV locks you out from hooking up your own streaming device. Very annoying in 2023. Not a place I'd stay at again, but at least it's clean.

Our room had various stains on the walls, carpet, curtains, and ceiling. Unfortunately most didn't look like common ware and tear. Most were large, and red or white. They didn't have the room we booked available but were kind enough to give us a similar one at the same price.

The lobby was clean but the room was really worn. Bathroom floors were filthy,air conditioner vents were all broken and the desk marble top was broken also the chair was filthy and had cigarette burns all over it. The carpet was nasty and also had cigarette burns. The room smelled like marijuana and cigarette smoke.

I checked in and the first thing I noticed was this unpleasant lingering odor. Checked the microwave and refrigerator and both were absolutely repulsive. The carpets weren’t vacuumed and there was dust everywhere. 0/10 would recommend.

For a well known hotel chain, this has been one of the worst hotels we stayed at. Not clean at all. Did not see 1 person cleaning any part of the hotel. Fllors in the hallway and elevator was filthy. Pool was a mess with towels scattered everywhere. No water to be found in the hotel. No bottles of water at front desk and water fountain in gym broken. Find a better hotel.

nice continental breakfast, polite staff, clean & modern rooms, great value, excellent location

Immediately when I got in my room the floor was covered with crumbs. Pulled back the bedding and hair strands were threaded into the sheets as well as the pillowcases. The tub clogged after taking a shower, which then clogged the toilet as well. Overall unhappy with my stay. Wouldn’t recommend.

Room was clean, check in was easy. In good location. Close to freeways, shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly. Hotel stay was quiet.

Overall property was neat and clean. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired - particularly the bathroom floor.

Very clean hotel! Nicely decorated and furnished. The staff was amazing! Always cleaning and keeping the property nice.

4 tiny pillows on a king bed is not enough. 2 does not even make 1 decent head pillow and most people now sleep with a knee pillow also.

Nice beds and good lighting in the room but a small washroom.

The room was extremely musty smelling - race weekend so no option for a different room. I don't think the AC filters, etc. had been cleaned, or since it is a refurbished building there was a severe mold problem which was just covered up with new paint , etc. The whole place smells like heavy use of air fresheners.

Room was renovated, clean and comfortable. Elevator was out of service, tv cable did not work. Could only watch 1 channel. No maintenance person on staff, no room to move us to, no extra TVs

Front staff were excellent. Had minor room issues but taken care of immediately .

I knew I would be arriving late to the hotel, so I called early in the day to make sure the front desk staff knew I was coming and not to give away my prepaid reservation to another guest. The agent said that would not be a problem as the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. When I arrived a little after 1:00 am, there was no one at the front desk to let me in to the lobby (the hotel door was locked ). I called the hotel and could hear the phone ringing through the locked door, but no one answered. I called several times (no answer), called Best Western’s call center (no answer), knocked on the door (to no avail) and finally went to sit in my car from where I could see the front desk. A man exited the hotel at one point to smoke cigarettes, but I did not approach him as I thought he was another guest. Eventually I was able to follow another guest into the lobby, and after several minutes of waiting for anyone to come to the front desk I asked the man who was chain smoking outside if he worked at the hotel. Sure enough, he was the front desk agent who made me wait 45 minutes in total before starting to check me in to my room. Horrible, horrible service. Rather than apologizing for the tremendous inconvenience he caused, he told me how many customers he turned away rather than giving away the room I paid for - like I should be grateful to him. I do not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.

The service was excellent. My reservation through Hotels.com has been incorrectly delivered to the hotel, and I was advised to call Hotels.com to sort the problem out. After 20 minutes of trying to reach Hotels.com by phone, but the website, or by the Hotels.com app, I was unable to get through to anyone and was caught in an endless loop of asking for a password reset. The reception person finally called me over and said she could come up with a way to solve the problem, and I wouldn't have to share a bed with my school-age son. We were able to make it work, thankfully. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Minor repairs were only partially done, and there was dust from tile work and few broken panels on the furniture, but nothing that caused any inconvenience.

Rooms were not ready for 3pm, understandable. There was 1 person working front desk. There were dozens of people waiting for their rooms. Said we had at least another 39 min wait. Would not check us in until rooms were ready. Waited in my car because the lobby was packed with peo ple. Came back in about 15 min later and now 3 people are working front desk and checking in others before the people that were already waiting for rooms. The man at the desk was rude and told us we would have to go start over to check in. I paid $279 for a room i cpuldnt use until 4:30pm This concert was 1 year out, they had time to prep. Im sure this wasn't their first big event in Indy! I will not use best western again or go to Indy!

When we arrived we had to wait for over an hour to check in as there was only one person working and multiple tournaments let out at the same time. The poor girl working had no help, rooms that said they were cleaned were not, rooms that did not apparently appear occupied in the system were. Multiple people returned to inform that there was someone else already in a room they were just checked into and received a key for as well. That lack of security was a concern for myself. We personally did not have any additional issues, and it was a fairly average otherwise clean hotel room for us to get some sleep before leaving early the next day for another tournament day. Would likely not stay here again, and wouldn’t recommend.

We booked this hotel for a last minute stay, and when we arrived at 2am, the doors were locked (good security), but the buzzer to buzz in kept ringing, and no one answered the phone. So we stood outside for 20 minutes and then cancelled our stay. I just suggest to get there during normal times, not late at night or no last minute booking!

The front desk staff were all amazing!!

Convenient parking, quiet location

Our office is at the pyramids and we use this hotel for traveling staff. It’s conveniently close to our office and casual dining.

The hotel was in a great location close to the highway and variuos dining options. It was also very quiet even though every night it was very busy

Easy access to the freeway. Clean and comfortable rooms, Kind staff. The breakfast was really good and the hotel was near a lot of restaurants where you could pick up food so that was very convenient.

Definitely earned its low star rating hotel. It was fine to sleep at but area was very sketchy and seemed un safe

Elevator was out of order. Second floor room. Check in was late but did not offer info on where room was . Food in morning was scarce. Coffee wasnt working, dining area dirty, and food not filled timely.

The room we stayed was nice and clean. The desk staff was nice and responsive. One of the reasons I signed up to stay at this hotel was the breakfast pictures on the website. It had a picture of sausage patties. There were no sausage patties. It was some sort of ham that was hard to chew. The fried eggs were terrible and hard to chew like rubber. There was no orange juice or apple juice that worked. I spoke to the breakfast attendant, and nothing was corrected. The fruit on the serving table was rotten. The top of the applies were brown and rotten, the one banana that was there was brown and not yellow. The milk container was empty. I had to go to the front desk of the hotel to ask the breakfast attendant to please get us some more milk. She was talking to the front desk attendant. The breakfast potato tots were overcooked and hard. I've traveled in hotels a lot over the past 40 years of business. Never have I experienced such a bad breakfast. The next morning we ate at a restaurant. Good hotel...needs to improve its breakfast service desperately. I also heard others complaining as well as they were eating. My wife said the coffee was old and terrible and not worth drinking. We stopped at McDonalds and picked up some coffee. I would stay again, only if I knew the breakfast had improved greatly. when we arrived on Wed. after 6 p.m. there were men working on the elevator. Very noisy with their screw guns. We could not rest at all with the noise.

The service was good but the free breakfast was nasty the egg smell and taste like rotten food. The muffins were decent, the juices were to sugary and waffle batter tastes like baking soda. I complained about the eggs to the front desk only thing they did was say they apologize n will inform. Just glad didn't give that to my youngling before eating myself.

Staff was very nice, they had a good hotel breakfast, and it was a very good price for a room that had been recently updated.

The good - The property was well-kept and very clean. The bed was so comfortable! The bad - Breakfast was pitiful. Everything was empty, and worse…no coffee! When my husband asked a worker about the food and breakfast , the person mumbled something and walked away. The ugly - I booked and paid through Expedia. After we checked out, they called me saying that my card was declined and that I owed $159 for the room. I never gave them a credit card at all! I called them back after investigating, told them Expedia said they were paid and my credit card had posted the payment. She didn’t ask for proof at all, just said ok and hung up on me. Strange. Makes me suspicious since she had asked for a credit card during the first call, which I’m so glad I didn’t give her.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Thumbs up!

It was very noisy all night long.. And the breakfast buffet left a great deal to be desired. They were out of many things, and the bagels that were offered had mold on them. After seeing this, we left and went someplace else for breakfast.

Advertised breakfast was only continental breakfast even though they had the hot dishes heaters available and appeared to be on. If you want a hot breakfast, check to see if they are offering it on the days you are staying.
