Comfort Inn Indianapolis North - Carmel

Pool closed (which was the main reason we booked), fitness center closed, and noisy.

Not all pillow cases had zipper pillow cases. Mattress covers had stains and needed to be washed. Pool was nasty kids refused to even try it. Gym was nasty. Staff was just there gossiping. Parking lot had glass bottles. I didn’t see one and my car ran over it trying to park right in from of the hotel. Lawn guys were there that day and no one picked it up. Driveway in has huge pot holes. Only reason we even stayed instead of asking for a refund is all hotels were booked.

This property was run down. Shower did not work on first day and pool was closed for repairs.

It is an older hotel with non-functioning ice machines. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great. They were very friendly, helpful and professional.

This was a great hotel for a family thats not fussy and pick everything apart. Its off the beaten path but not much. Parking lot has pot holes there are doors with glass broke out and a waterfall feature in the lobby caused by a broken pipe above. The carpet is stretched and stained, the hot tub is covered with wood and empty. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were clean and one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The pillows were amazing and the shower was hot. Breafast was not much but some eggs sausage and a waffel was all i needed with my orange juice to get me going thru my day. All in all a solid 8 from this family of 4.

Willie at the front desk was great!! He tried everything he could to get us set up and let us utilize the dining room at night when we ordered some pizza and brought us out a trash can. Unfortunately my door lock didn’t work properly and no one could fix it until the day after I checked in which left us feeling vulnerable for the evening and required a front desk person to escort us to our room to unlock it if we wanted to go anywhere. Room was not the cleanest. There were hair clumps in the bathroom when I got there. There was a smell of cigarettes in the elevator. And the parking lot is on very poor condition. Pool was shut down both nights when we were there due to a part needing to be ordered for circulation. It happens but unfortunate when you book to make sure there’s a pool to utilize.

It was very cold in the pool area.

The property listed a pool but it was closed for repairs. They led us to believe it may be open the 2nd day but there was no evidence that anyone was tryin to get it fixed.

The whole facility was dirty. Doors wouldn’t close or lock. Mold growing in the bathrooms because of faulty exhaust fan. Wall fan for room wouldn’t work as it should. With as many nearby hotels as there is, I would definitely stay somehwhere else.

It served its purpose. We just needed a place to sleep. All of the interior space is very worn and doesn’t seem to have been updated or maintained. There were buckets collecting water from the vents in the lobby ceiling the entire time we were there. You could tell this was a hotel that allowed smoking at some point and hadn’t been updated since. It had an old cigarette smoke odor throughout. The comforter had long black hair all over it. The room was not very clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful though!

The room was clean and comfortable. I would have appreciated a grab bar in the tub. All staff were friendly and efficient.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The entire inside is sketchy as you walk to your room. There’s filth and food on carpets. We open the door and first thing we see is food on the floor: popcorn that was stepped on. There was hair in the tub and on bedding. We pulled the bedding back to check for bed bugs (always do) and I couldn’t believe my eyes. They were on the pillow even. Didn’t have to look hard. The ceiling was leaking and water damages and bowing in. was so scared and disgusted at the fact we almost slept there. We go back down and tell the front desk and he acted not shocked and just canceled my booking. Last year we came to stay at the same property and a women was yelling in the lobby at them about cockroaches and bed begs and wanting reimbursed. This is why we were hesitant this time. They then said they couldn’t refund me my $230.00!!!!!! And when I had Expedia call them do to my report - “their system was down, call back in a few hours” we saw baseball teams of kids walking in there to sleep. Just risking and infesting so many kids and families with no remorse. They need to be shut down!

This place is a disaster. The rooms had visible mold, including in the so-called exercise room. Everything felt beat up and neglected—missing baseboards, excessive moisture, and poor ventilation made it incredibly uncomfortable. To make things worse, the key cards kept deactivating and had to be remade constantly. Every interaction with the woman at the front desk was unpleasant; she was rude, unhelpful, and clearly irritated by even the simplest requests. The entire hotel is run-down and janky. Save yourself the headache and stay anywhere else

There was still previous occupants hair on the bathroom floor. Also my children found a chip beside the mini fridge and a chocolate covered pretzel under one of the beds… we didn’t bring any snacks so I know it wasn’t from us. The pool was very cold and sides of pool wall above the water looked dirty.

First room we were issued had a moldy bathroom. Second one we were issued was damp. Front desk issued key cards to a stranger who tried to get into our room on the first night. Got all our money back and moved to a different hotel.

A bit dingy, carpeting was very damp from ac in wall to bed. Wall by tub looked like it had mold. Little bottle for shampoo and conditioner were so tiny. Staff shortages so no daily service. Breakfast was ok,

Shower was not maintained. Caulk brown. People noisy in next room

Pictures did not match the property. Room had an odor. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Overall, an OK stay. The concierge people at the front desk were nice and friendly. There's One Slow elevator on the property in the middle of the hotel and the stairs are on either end of the halls. Which ordinarily, not a big deal. When you're hauling sports equipment, you really don't want to have to go far for stairs, was just surprised there wasn't a set near the elevator. Been to many hotels where there's a set a stairs near the elevator. Room - surface clean for sure, musty smell upon entry, door had to be pushed to open and pushed to shut. Beds were ok, not the most comfortable, but good enough for the weekend. Son used the pool for a bit, water looked a bit on the cloudy side. Seems like the hotel is in need of a remodel. Breakfast choices were plentiful, but they only had apples for a fruit choice, most of the yogurt were raspberry flavored. Waffles were good, two choices of flavors, but only 1 syrup. No fruit compote like some areas offer. No hot Oatmeal, cereal is in plastic dispensary tubes so if it's been there a while, it's stale. Eggs were delivered out of a plastic bag when refilled. One of the waffle batters were slow to come out, the gentleman that was servicing the area took it to thin it out with some water and it worked. When he came back though, he went to spray the griddle irons and to remove the crumbs on one of them, he blew on it with his mouth. That kinda grossed me out. i used the one he hadn't blown on.

The shower was stained and the hotel looked a little run down. Definitely needs some updating. The bed was comfortable. For the cost could of been a little bit better condition.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was pretty good. The main areas of the hotel haven't been updated in quite a while and that includes the hallways. The stairwell was very dirty.

It’s an older hotel. Thin walls so could hear our neighbors and people running through halls at night.

The hotel could use some updating as there are several peeling walls, holes in walls, etc and the air conditioner was extremely loud (so happy to have one though!).

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever checked into. Rooms are very outdated, damp, and have a strong musty / moldy smell. Jacuzzi in the middle of the room was grimy. Stains on the bed/bed sheets. We ended up leaving and checking into a nearby Hyatt Place because the condition / smell of the room was so bad. The only bright spot was Willie at the front desk - he was extremely kind and helpful.

The staff was great . The condition of the room and building needed care for greatly . I could hear the people next door . Water damage above the windows and in the bathroom . Corporate really needs to do a better job on the up keep . Again the staff was great .

Willie who was at the desk was very polite, helpful friendly out going, and available.

Lack of help and cleaning personnel. No one at desk in the mornings. Had to yell for hi.. had to take towels to front desk to trade for clen. Front desk person would not take them . We threw them into a laundry cart. Room had heavt dust o. Standing light. Needed toiletries but didn't want to ask because of his attitude.

This is an older hotel. They do not have room service everyday. They do not have enough people to work, it is my understanding.

Took a long time to check in

Property was okay. Night staff were not there. The manager didn’t show up until 4am Sunday morning. I had to sleep for part of the night in the lobby. When he finally showed up, I was told to leave and he didn’t believe that I was a guest. I won’t be staying here again.

The entire properly is outdated and poorly maintained. There were multiple safety concerns including a chunk of ceiling tile that fell in the bathroom as we were in there and was then dripping water. Multiple areas of the wall were cracked and bulging. The filter for the ice machine obviously hasn't been cleaned in years, if ever. The shining star though was Willie from the front desk that worked 2nd shift. He was amazing and very friendly and interactive. The 3rd shift guy wouldn't even say hi when directly spoken to and would not interact with guests even when they tried to speak and be friendly to him.

The staff was particularly great. The gentleman who checked me in who was in his 50s or 60s was so accommodating. You should give him a raise!

Location, location, location. Low traffic, Carmel, Easy to Indy and 465, Preisswert!!!

All the employees were very friendly. We were able to check in an hour early and the lady at the desk was very nice. The rooms are clean and look like they've been updated a little recently. Only issue we have was with the shower and getting it to work right but we figured it out. Location is right off 31.

Great location. Literally there for 10 hours but have stayed before. Breakfast was open early on the weekend so even nicer not having to stop and grab breakfast.

Stayed here with some friends to go to Christkindelmart. The location is super convenient right off Hwy 31. It is near good restaurants and was 10 minutes from downtown Carmel. The building is an old repurpose. It is very clean, and we enjoyed the breakfast. Maybe could update a few things, but overall it was one of our better experiences in the area. We will try to book this location again.

Pleasant staff and close to medical facility

Nice place at reasonable rates. I'd recommend. A little north of the city but worth the few extra driving miles compared to the expensive Downtown Indy Hotels.

The coffee was not up to my wife’s standards.the outside by entrance door had way to many cigarette butts, but I thought for the money it was very good

The continental breakfast was very average. They served the same breakfast all 3 mornings with little variety.

Willie checked us in and was very friendly. The breakfast service had a lot of variety and was good.

Everything was great, we just wish the breakfast lasted until 10am. We were on vacation and getting up before 9 was not enjoyable.

Mildew under the sink. Bubble paint on ceiling. Plumbing fixtures in the tub were loose. Limited towels. Breakfast offered very little. Disappointed in the facility and amenities.

Old and dirty! The sink in the bathroom was clogged and the person at the front desk said that there was nobody for maintenance! We could not even take a shower because the didn't put shampoo in the room. We went to a soccer tournament and they were even having problems with us hanging in the lobby together. Horrible overall experience. Breakfast was not edible! They brought the eggs in a plastic bag, and the Coffee and orange juice were horrible. I couldn’t find myself trying to eat there.

Was unhappy with the room, it was a handicap room which we did not need, never gave us fresh towels everyday, breakfast was not the best, especially if you are gluten free, would not stay at another Comfort Inn!!

Everything was great: friendly staff, clean, good breakfast, comfy beds, pool! No problems! 👍
