Good location good price badly equipped hottub didnt work bathrooms are tiny breakfast was rough

The room smelled heavily of smoke. It was very noticeable and gave me a headache. The pool was freezing cold and my granddaughters were disappointed they could not swim. The hotel could use a make over.

The first eoom they gave us was filthy. The bed sheets has not been washed. The room was musty. The fridge was covered in some kind of red residue. The dresser has a white substance splashed on the front. We asked to switch to a different room, to which they obliged. The new room was not much better in condition. We visited the pool, which was extremely poorly maintained. The tiling was chipped and sharp in many places. The grout was peeling, and mold and residue was clearly present. We could not stay for more than a half hour because we could not stop sneezing. After getting out, a burning and itching rash became present on my body. It went away in a few hours after applying triple antibiotic ointment. There was also mold in yhe shower in both rooms we saw.

The property was not well maintained. The vending machines didnt work, the pool and hot tub were old and dirty, the room wasnt cleaned well, the mirror was broken and the beds were old an uncomfortable. The experience as a whole was bad

The elevators smelled like Marijuana... the exercise room was closed... the matresses and pillows were awful... the toilet was so low i felt like i was on the floor... i had to help my poor mother get off the toilet... she has no problem doing this any other time...

Need better housekeeping the rooms still be dirty , sheets ,pillows curtains towels are either stained badly or they not washing them & new linen pls , the pool water was a dirty green color not clear at all also dead flys stuck on the curtains which hasn't been cleaned or changed since they open the place I will never go back there with my daughters..........

No safety railing in the hot tub! (Dangerous!) there was sooo much mold in the pool bathroom idk how it can even be up to code and the smell of maryjuana that smacked you in the face when you opened your door wasnt very welcomeing… Fred was a nice guy at front desk very friendly.. but the place is gross!!

This hotel was located in an entire area of at least 10 other hotels by I-65. I thought it would be fine. It was NOT. 1) We were not convinced that the sheets were changed because of stains. 2) The shower curtain had serious mold/mildew on the inside. When I tried to show the cleaning lady in the room she was working on, that shower curtain in that bathroom had mildew all over it too! 3) Our coffee pot had no tray for the coffee packets to go in, so it couldn't be used. 3) Worst Food Ever! - Orange Juice was spoiled and had to be thrown out, there was only white bread and no jelly for toast, no lids for coffee cups, Bran Flakes were the only cereal, no yogurt or fruit, no protein, only carbs, pastries were stale and no microwave to help. The trash can was so filthy on the outside that I used a napkin to throw my trash awayl When I asked the attendant about the availability of whole wheat bread or yogurt or lids for the coffee, he was rude and said "What's there is all there is." 4) There were splatters of something on the walls in the room and bathroom and I took photos. 5) It was obvious that someone was smoking weed either in the hotel or right outside. 6) Elevator area was dirty and there was chipped paint on the walls. I have been staying at Choice Hotels for more than 30 yrs and this was the worst Quality Inn I have ever been in. If we had known how bad the hotel was, we would never have paid when we registered. I will certainly know better next time.

What a let down. Room immediately reeked of mildew. Floor is damp by AC unit that seemed faulty and made weird grinding noises during the night. Kids were terrified of the blood stains on walls, stained pillows and sheets. Worn furniture that they actually use trash to level it so drawers don’t pop open on own. Tile grout is black and mildewed and tub is stained. So gross my family would have left if it wasn’t already 10pm and late when we arrived. One kid was crying she wanted to sleep in the car. Decided to brave it out, but if you have a choice ahead of time avoid this beat down hotel at all costs. Pictures from room 301.

Hotel was very Dirty. Also Had Bed Bugs!!!!

This was the dirtiest room I've seen in quite a while. The carpets were filthy, and not vaccumed. They don't clean the rooms, so much dirt and dust. I saw what appeared to be, as baby roaches. Hopefully, not bedbugs. If they were bedbugs, this is going to be terrible for tgem. The front staff, the white was so rude, and unprofessional it was funny. This place needs the department of health to come in. Just very dirty. The breakfast was a joke. Save your money and don't stay here. I will never do that again!!!!

Hotel was in poor repair. Carpeting in hallway was dirty and loose in some areas. The outer bed covering was dirty and there was a hole in the sheet. Pillows did not have covers under the cases. Air conditioner didn't work properly and part of the covering was on the floor. Freezer was caked with frost. I could go on but I'm guessing you get the idea. Overall the entire facility was disgusting.

Very dirty property. We tried two rooms. The first, the bed had clearly not been changed. Hair and chip crumbs from the previous occupant. Room two, trash had not been taken out, there was toilet paper on the carpet, questionable stains on the chair, and white powder residue left all over the bed side table. The carpet on the first floor was soaked from people leaving the pool and the entire property smelled of cigarettes. The front desk employee said he didn’t have the authorization to offer a refund and didn’t offer to call a manager. We left and went to a different hotel without a refund. Expedia initially said they would completely relocate us without charge due to the poor experience, but ended up simply giving a $50 coupon for an additional stay, which didn’t cover what we had originally paid for this awful property. Save yourself the headache and disgust and look elsewhere.

The room was adequate, but the air conditioning system was not working properly. We were hot during the day and cooler at night only because the sun had gone down. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6:00 to 9:00; yet at 6:15 nothing was out not even coffee.

The 1st room. The tv didn't work nor did the heat or the toilet. I asked for a new room. The new room was worst. The people next door was noisy all night and after getting comfortable to their noise here comes the police knocking on their door saying they're too loud but come to find out they was knocking on the wrong door. It was a family 3 doors down. The police was evicting them out of the hotel. Now its crying and pleading to stay all in the hallway. Don't know what time in the morning it was but it was definitely after 1 in the morning. I will not patronize this establishment ever again

Rooms were big, beds super comfortable.

My husband is diabetic so I always make sure to book a room with a refrigerator for his insulin pens. When we got to our room, we discovered the refrigerator was inoperable. The front desk basically told us we were out of luck on a refund/partial refund because of the discount we got by booking through Hotels.com. Buyer beware and now I’ll know for future reference that I have to choose between saving money and having all the promised amenities.

Pros-The staff was great. The place was clean and quiet.The beds and pillows were comfortable. Cons -The heater/ac had an error code and did not work .The bathroom door did not close and the wood/veneer covering was split on both sides of the door .

Tv didn't work. In the day and half we were there they never fixed it. We ended up leaving early. Room wasn't very clean. The water fountain in the lobby had a towel in it during the entire time we were there.

Check in was easy... but they didnt ask me for my credit card for payment verification as well as incidentals.... Bedding and bathroom towels were dirty, used. Broken shower head carpets not vacuum cleaned... every surface of furniture had food or dirt... iFor $82.41. I spent the Sheets should've been fresh at least!!! Had it been a leisure stay and because I desperately needed to sleep i would have left immediately... all i did was nap for a few hours and with my Do Not Disturb on my door... was woken up at 8 am to housekeeping opening my door 2 TIMES UNANNOUNCED !! A partial refund is not a total loss but I don't think I will see it...

I was a traveler and my family didn’t like customer service at all. he was very short and rude the entire stay. He talked over me and I was very disappointed. I will never stay at this hotel again . Ratings 1.5/10

Check into my rooms which I had a minor problem. The lady at the front desk took care of the issue. She was very nice. She did her best to fix the issue in which she fixed it. Come here often I’ll be back soon.

Well, it was close to Chicago. The staff was very friendly and efficient up to including we have to go back through there to pick up a blanket that we left and they were had no problem doing so I like them.

Check in was troubling, we were 2 hrs early getting there and was charged extra to get into the room. The manager was very rude when I complained about the extra charge and threatened to cancel the reservation if I complained any more. Was just a very rude person

The supervisor, a gentlemen with glasses was very rude and condescending towards me and my mother when we asked if we could be accommodated for our fridge not working in our room.

The place was rude we ask for a manager and couldn't speak to one.. the room we had the ac didn't work...the next room they gave us the beds where nasty and pee on the refrigerator didnt work and they wouldn't let us get another room or speak to a manager...

Maintenance is in much desire. Drain in sink was SLOW. Safety latch and peep hole on door was missing. Furniture was taped together. Party in parking lot. Arguments in the hallway. It looks like a remodeled hotel that hasn’t been maintained in ten years. Kids running around the parking lot at night dashing between cars. Hallway had no a/c on and smelled of weed and old food.

This was a nice property to stay at. It is convient to the highway and there are several restaurants nearby. The facility is clean and the staff helpful.

Drove up to the property and 3 cop cars were parked in front. Not a good way to start our stay. The receptionist was very helpful.

Good location no noise

The hotel was desirable location-wise for my needs. Otherwise, there wasn’t much to like. Facilities were very dirty but the sheets at least seemed clean. It was New Year’s Eve and the police came a couple of times, so I didn’t sleep well. Upon check out there wasn’t even a person at the front desk to take my key or anything. I will NOT be staying here again.

I chose this hotel because the hotels in Chicago were way too expensive. I should have spared no expense. The property was dirty, there were roaches, holes in the ceiling, the linen was filthy. Fred at the front desk, however, deserves all the good things. He was extremely pleasant and accommodating.

Near Valparaiso College for LSM Music camp, but water puddles on floor by entrance to elevator and felt unsafe due to hotel patrons yelling in hallway.

I really like this establishment but my next visit I would prefer to be placed on a quiet side. I stayed for an overnight for work and could not sleep. Very loud music , arguing coming from hallway or down the halls. It was the weekend . Went to work exhausted.

Dirty, had to change my room. The second room was still dirty. There was stains and hair everywhere in the first room. The second room was better than the first but not great. I didn’t pay attention to the Pool hrs till I was trying to get in at 8:30am and the hrs said 10-10. There was a family in there most of the time the day before so I wasn’t even able to get in the jacuzzi or anything. So I went to have breakfast. Biggest disappointment! They only had strawberry yogurt and it was expired and they barely had any breakfast! There was biscuits, gravy, and waffles. I wanted biscuits with honey they didn’t have any they had no jelly no peanut butter no nothing. No bagels that’s what I really wanted but I was gonna settle for what they had. No fruit no oatmeal just nothing. They only had orange juice and milk. The orange juice was pungent. It was not good. Horrible costumer service from the blue eyed blonde haired man. He was rude to my Fiancé and was inattentive to me. This was a learning experience. You get what you pay for!

Facility was fairly clean, bed was broken down-I kept rolling off. AC worked but whole building was so hot it didn’t matter-wouldn’t cool off the room. Breakfast “buffet” was short on food and what was there wasn’t good-orange juice was orange “drink”. Area around food was messy. Wouldn’t recommend.

Room was relatively clean, staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was a absolute joke. This hotel unfortunately drew some noisy, ghetto and loud people who stay up late and bump constantly it was a lot of noise. Thankfully I didn't see any bugs.

Breakfast was a real let down. We had three rooms and paid over $500 to stay. No butter for the waffles. Only one limited pastry and biscuits and gravy. I ate a yogurt. The room were not thoroughly cleaned. There were items from the previous person left behind. Just not great.

Pros: clean room, very nice staff (they do their best with what they have), quick and easy processing. Cons: whole building needs immediate renovations (the walls look like falling apart, the water installation makes loud noises when used, the furniture in the room like the armchair is unusable), breakfast was very cheap (milk with cereal, some kind of white stew, sour waffles, and some crumpets, the best was the orange juice), seems like some families literally live there for a long time and are very loud, price (it can be lower) Conclusion: it's good if the stay is 2-3 nights.

It said breakfast included. But except waffles there was hardly anything else. Breakfast area was not welcoming. They were even out of coffee. Expedia.com: please dont market as breakfast included if they are not offering breakfast.
