Quality Inn Merrillville

This is the worse hotel stay ive ever had. Water on the elevator floor, room had not been clean. All the hotel doors and furniture has cracks, holes, and stains on them. The toilet has rust stains where u sit and inside. The towels have pubic hair, the shower curtain is stained. The heat stop working in the middle of the night! I stayed at this sane property in the past and it wasnt this bad. What happened??? I need a refund!! This is unacceptable!! I have pics upon check in to confirm everything Im saying

The pool and hot tub were great. Pool water was a little cold. However, the second floor smelled of marijuana the entire time we stayed there. To the point to where it started to cause issues with my child who has asthma. It even smelled all the way to the first floor by the stairs. I was informed nothing could be done by the gentlemen who checked us out this morning. The breakfast wasn’t that great either. The cinnamon rolls were rock hard. I truly believe I should get a refund

The parking was fine. Staff was poor. Noone was at the front desk when I arrived. And then I was given a dirty room. Then the room I was given did not have a refrigerator and the microwave didnt work. Then the next day, the staff questioned me about whether or not my service animal was actually a service animal because the staff member never entered any notes.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel needs a lot of updating. Furniture, sheets, carpets, and bathroom fixtures are worn. The bed was comfortable.

I travel frequently and am wired for value-oriented. I know from experiences you get what you pay for but this hit an all time low. Didn't get a sense of safety in the parking lot due to multiple vehicles with sole occupants, engines running & loud music blaring. Parked by and used front entrance. At first glance it appeared ok but once inside the room, much different story. The bedding was the worst I've ever seen with a variety of stains, rips, burn holes and little black things that looked like even they couldn't survive it along with the bugs in the bathroom. The pool was about what you'd expect and the "Breakfast" consisted of a waffle maker and a little batter left, if you chose to wait for the other 7 people to finish making theirs. There were two stale, what looked like at one time were little roles and that was the extent of the offerings. I know there are reviews of "10" but adhere more to the 2's and 1's as I have far more confidence in those as for both accuracy and legitimacy. It was non-refundable and a blizzard so I was stuck and it was only for a night so I took the grey thing on top of the bed and slept on the floor figuring it was my best option. As I lay there I thought "So this is hell." There's plenty of options in close proximity for the same or possibly better price so go there. Management will come on here and say "So sorry...this isn't normal, blah, blah blah...." but I have to believe it is. That many stains it has to be deliberate.
