This trip was wonderful! The beds were comfortable and clean, the pool was actually warm enough for me to get in and huge, and the hot tub felt amazing! We hope to go back in warmer weather to walk the lake trail and see the water feature!

Cute little hotel! Rooms are a little dated but very clean, beds are firm. Tv, coffee, mini fridge. The grounds are beautiful. Golf cart rentals are affordable with trails nearby the river. They have a nice outdoor pool but it was closed during our stay. So if the pool is the reason you’re booking check first! We will definitely be back when visiting the area again.

The rooms were nice and cozy. The pool was very enjoyable, but wished the hot tub was available to use. Love the trail around the property and the scenic walk through New Harmony.

This is a beautiful property- sprawling and beautiful - in a quaint little historic town. We were here the end of July 2025 and had the place to ourselves. Call about the restaurant because it wasn’t open on Tuesday when we checked in and we were counting on it. Nothing in town was open either so we had to drive to Poseyville for dinner. Also, the workout facility is not good and in a windowless basement that feels creepy. If not for that i would have given 5 stars on everything.

The hotel is trying hard. They have nice things but not in great shape. The pool is awesome, but the building housing it is shoddy. The room is lovely, but the furniture is a little worn. The WiFi is excellent. The grounds are lovely, but there was a constant drone from machinery running nearby. The single most irritating thing, was the hotel restaurant closed 40 minutes before schedule and there was no notice. Even a note to say that the kitchen might close early. Just: Um, nope we are closed

We really liked this place. It was quiet, clean, and nice. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were enjoyable. The property is very pretty and the staff is friendly. The town of New Harmony was cool and the Inn is walking distance. A little hidden gem in Indiana!

Carpet is so old and some walls look like there is mold on them. Ice machine broken. For an Inn in a historic area it should be in better condition for the room rate. Shower was great.

We checked in after 8pm. When we got to our room we noticed mouse droppings on the end table. Upon further inspection, I found mouse droppings and urine all over the shower and sink, and there was a pile of blackbird feathers in the bathroom. We called the front desk and they offered to move us rooms immediately. But I was so tired, I did not care at that point. The next morning, I went to the front desk and they sent someone to clean the room. They called me later and reported that they found more mice evidence and switched us rooms. It looks like the room had been empty for a few days and they did not check it before we checked in. There were no issues with the other room we were moved to. The area around the hotel is beautiful.

I really expected more from the New Harmony Inn.

We always enjoy our visits to The New Harmony Inn and New Harmony in general. The Red Geranium is an excellent restaurant whether you dine inside or on the patio. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. The exterior of The New Harmony Inn needs some maintenance, i.e. some rot to the wood around the windows. However, the interior is in fine shape and was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but the fitted sheet needed to be deeper. It kept coming loose on the head corners. Not a big deal, but worth noting. All in all, a great visit.

This was our 2nd visit to the New Harmony Inn, and we loved the solitude of this place! The grounds were well maintained and perfect for strolling and enjoying the lake, stream and area in general. Our room was spot clean and ever so quiet; the bed was extremely comfortable. We rented one of their golf carts and took a drive around the quaint, little town where we visited with several residents, sat by the Wabash River and enjoyed the overall peacefulness and beauty of the place. For one night or several, if one is seeking serenity, this is the place to go!

We had a little snafu at check-in but the desk clerk corrected it for us. I think it was a combination of my error and their miscommunication, but as I said upon realizing the messup it was immediately fixed. Staff were great, friendly, helpful and accomodating. The place was scerene, and totally awesome! My only other problem was the beds were very firm making my sleep difficult. Overall we loved the hotel, the town, the history; it all made for a great trip. Not to mention the wedding at the granary was beautiful!

A strange and jolting clatter issued from the heating unit every 45 minutes. Sound like a waiter dropping a tray intermittently all night long. It was a rough night of sleep. The hotel is usually great but not this time. And of course, when you book through hotels.com, the hotel itself and reimburse you anything. Instead of blaming the hotel, this may be the death knell of my use of hotels.com

A strange and jolting clatter issued from the heating unit every 45 minutes. Sound like a waiter dropping a tray intermittently all night long. It was a rough night of sleep. The hotel is usually great but not this time. And of course, when you book through hotels.com, the hotel itself and reimburse you anything. Instead of blaming the hotel, this may be the death knell of my use of hotels.com

Rated all categories in mid range (unable to choose n/a) due to actually not even being able to get to the property due to unforeseen circumstances. I did stay in touch with property throughout the day, letting them know the situation. Attempts were made by the company that reservation booked with in attempt to get refund but unable to do so. Would like to have seen this place and possibly went there for future visits but chances of that happening are slim now. It’s too bad companies don’t have some kind of policy in place for unforeseen circumstances (I didn’t just not show up or not call), so that people can get some kind of refund.

The room was in good condition and staff was very friendly. Only complaint i have is the ppl a room or 2 over mustve been smoking weed because the smell was awful outside of their door. They also exited the elevator and it even reeked of weed smell.

New Harmony Inn is in a peaceful, quaint, and friendly town. Everyone is helpful and professional. A group of us colleagues stayed a couple of nights for a business trip in Albion. The rooms are fairly spacious, but the bathrooms do run small. The restaurant has good food and service. Overall, a great stay.

I love this place but had to cancel my last night of a 2 night stay. Hotels.com were very eager to help me get a refund for the one night, but New Harmony Inn wouldn't even accept their calls. Michael at New Harmony was very unprofessional and said a housekeeper must have checked us out early, he had no record of it. Even told Hotels.com we stayed both nights. When I called and questioned him, he said he glanced at dates wrong, but was unwilling to contact Hotels.com or accept their calls afterward. He said his supervisor was on vacation and had just left, no one was in charge. Very, very disappointed in their customer service. I hope Rose, the manager will make this right when she returns from vacation and reads this. I even asked for the owners information but Michael said he didn't know, they lived in another state. We could hear Michael and a girl giggling in the background during our 20 minute conversation.

This was our 2nd visit to the New Harmony Inn, and we loved the solitude of this place! The grounds were well maintained and perfect for strolling and enjoying the lake, stream and area in general. Our room was spot clean and ever so quiet; the bed was extremely comfortable. We rented one of their golf carts and took a drive around the quaint, little town where we visited with several residents, sat by the Wabash River and enjoyed the overall peacefulness and beauty of the place. For one night or several, if one is seeking serenity, this is the place to go!

Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located nearby many easy hiking trails. The front office rents golf cart for us to drive around. The attached restaurant has the best home made potato chips.

An interesting and unusual property in a very eclectic, charming little town. We stopped on the way home as we were traveling and were not disappointed. Room was exceptionally clean and quiet. Pool was enormous, and we enjoyed it. The grounds were very calming for a nice evening walk as was the town. We ate a block or two away and had a very good meal. Golf carts are available, too, for running around town and checking out the river. Our only disappointment was that there was not breakfast bar or snacks and the single coffee pot was almost empty when we arrived. Clerk informed us that she was not making any more since time was almost up! Great place to stop if you are looking for something off the beaten path that is a little different!

The resort was convenient to the downtown area. The room was comfy and clean. However the property is in dire need of renovation and remodeling. The adjacent restaurant, Red Geranium, was superb.

No breakfast is offered at this time, and I could not get the coffee maker in the room to work, which was a big problem for someone who likes to sit around and contemplate for a while. Another issue, which the front desk tried to help with, was no cell phone service through my not-at-all-obscure carrier. This is the first time ever I rated the Inn less than stellar, but it seems to me to be slipping. I also was disappointed that the little chapel off the lounge in the entry building was filled with furniture and not accessible to me; also there was no reason for the lounge not to be open to guests since the people who occupied it were few and could have been accommodated elsewhere.

This is a beautiful property- sprawling and beautiful - in a quaint little historic town. We were here the end of July 2025 and had the place to ourselves. Call about the restaurant because it wasn’t open on Tuesday when we checked in and we were counting on it. Nothing in town was open either so we had to drive to Poseyville for dinner. Also, the workout facility is not good and in a windowless basement that feels creepy. If not for that i would have given 5 stars on everything.

We always enjoy our visits to The New Harmony Inn and New Harmony in general. The Red Geranium is an excellent restaurant whether you dine inside or on the patio. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. The exterior of The New Harmony Inn needs some maintenance, i.e. some rot to the wood around the windows. However, the interior is in fine shape and was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but the fitted sheet needed to be deeper. It kept coming loose on the head corners. Not a big deal, but worth noting. All in all, a great visit.

The hotel is trying hard. They have nice things but not in great shape. The pool is awesome, but the building housing it is shoddy. The room is lovely, but the furniture is a little worn. The WiFi is excellent. The grounds are lovely, but there was a constant drone from machinery running nearby. The single most irritating thing, was the hotel restaurant closed 40 minutes before schedule and there was no notice. Even a note to say that the kitchen might close early. Just: Um, nope we are closed

Very pleasant grounds. I like the outdoor all weather swimming pool. One of the few hotel pools that gets a good amount of use! We ate at the Geranium Resturant and they have great food. We liked the special Kalua and cream drink but think it should have been called the Solar Surprise.

The bed in our room was extremely squeaky, to the extent that I was genuinely afraid it would collapse. Also, the coffeemaker in our room was inoperable due to the fact that it needed descaling (the light was on.)

New Harmony Inn starts out at an advantage. It is basically the northern demarcation of a lovely destination. The grounds are peaceful and surrounded by nature or history wherever you look. You can rent golf carts to explore the town or many of the trails. The rooms are quiet and well-appointed. I did not eat at the Red Geranium this trip since it's hours didn't align with my visit. However, past experience was phenomenal, both in quality of food and in service.

Pros: the young woman at the front desk was friendly and the check in was quick, the location is wonderful as we parked our car when we arrived and were able to walk everywhere for the whole weekend stay in New Harmony, we stayed in the Riverbend building and the room was clean, quiet, and quaint. Highly recommend trying the Red Geranium restaurant on site; it's pricey, but the food and service was very good. We reserved for 6pm on Saturday night at RG, which seems to have been perfect. Now the cons: I really want to give New Harmony Inn a glowing review, but we had one small and one big issue. First, the small: The shower curtain is on a curved rod, but for some reason the placement seems off, so, during a shower, the curtain kept trying to sort of attach itself to the person showering; not a huge thing, just kind of annoying...and uncomfortable...and kinda gross. Now, the big issue: The bed. First, the bed sits pretty high. My husband, at 5'9", was performing an awkward sort of high jump to get into the bed. I'm about 5'2" and chose more of a quick rolling maneuver, sneaking up on the bed from a flanking position. Once on the bed and settled in for the night the bed was very firm, what some might even describe as hard. Like sleeping on the ground on top of a blue camp pad hard. Like passing out on someone's carpeted floor hard. Like "55 year old chubby people with bad backs/hips should not be sleeping on this bed" hard.

Very calm place. The town is a very quiet, peaceful place as well. If you are looking for a getaway where you just want to relax maybe take a bike ride or a nice walk. Do a little shopping in an adorable downtown. Enjoy a good meal this is the place for it.
