The staff and front desk are inflexible inhospitable jerks. They lie about the pool. It isn't open and never will be but they do not tell the customer the truth about that on their ads or when you call. They also take you credit/debit card to hold $200 when you check in but refused to give me any receipt of any kind upon checkout. They threatened to call the police on me when I insisted I wanted a receipt. They are the only hotel I have ever stayed in without an elevator, that will not give you a receipt of your stay and any charges or transactions or that refused a request for a later checkout time. They are not busy and will likely stay that way because of how they run the place. But the room was clean and nice.

The staff was really rude to us and our other travel ball parents . One of our moms was told to get off the stairs .. the stairs is all we had to leave or come downstairs ! My husband was hollered at for using the bathroom by pool . He was told “ use the one in your room “ . Just so much ! Our whole experience was terrible. Also if you’re expecting a breakfast with anything like eggs , bacon etc this place doesn’t have that . It’s waffle iron , cereal and yogurt . Unfortunately, our group of parents after the two nights we stayed we wouldn’t recommend staying here . Just would have been nice to of had any hospitality. It was nothing but mean glares and being stared at when we came out of our rooms .

Got in argument with manager upon check-in. Would have canceled booking if would have not been for only one night stay for business and the inconvenience. They up charged me because I ended up bringing my 2 kids. They wanted to charge me $10 each for my 16 year old and my wife. My youngest was 12 and under their charge threshold so they were going to make her the double occupant. I said my wife was the double occupant and I would not pay an extra $10 for her. They were just being petty and very impolite. After arguing several minutes they agreed just to charge for my 16 year old. Otherwise the hotel was clean enough for what it was, very basic. But, it was the closest place to where my work meeting was.

The property was clean but the staff was so unfriendly. Every single one of them seemed miserable. Unfortunately, It is the only hotel in this town which holds lots of baseball tournaments. Ours just happened to be state. Next time we will opt to drive back and forth rather than stay at this property.

I spent the last 3 weeks in hotels while doing a coast to coast to coast road trip. While checking in here, I felt like I was bothering them. I asked where they would recommend for a place to eat. She said, "Downtown." I asked "Do you have a name of a place?" She pointed out the window to what I later confirmed was the direction of... downtown. Be that as it may. B'fast was a waffle maker, bread for toast, coffee, a microwave and cold cereal. Honestly, I can't remember if they even had fruit. Sorry if you're in this town looking for a place, because this is the ONLY hotel here, your stuck. Drive on.

The property was clean but the staff was so unfriendly. Every single one of them seemed miserable. Unfortunately, It is the only hotel in this town which holds lots of baseball tournaments. Ours just happened to be state. Next time we will opt to drive back and forth rather than stay at this property.

Got in argument with manager upon check-in. Would have canceled booking if would have not been for only one night stay for business and the inconvenience. They up charged me because I ended up bringing my 2 kids. They wanted to charge me $10 each for my 16 year old and my wife. My youngest was 12 and under their charge threshold so they were going to make her the double occupant. I said my wife was the double occupant and I would not pay an extra $10 for her. They were just being petty and very impolite. After arguing several minutes they agreed just to charge for my 16 year old. Otherwise the hotel was clean enough for what it was, very basic. But, it was the closest place to where my work meeting was.

We were in town for a wedding this past weekend. Wasn’t quite sure where to stay but wanted to be close to the venue. We were a little hesitant to stay at first because there was a low rating, but definitely would give our stay a 5 star. The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly!

I spent the last 3 weeks in hotels while doing a coast to coast to coast road trip. While checking in here, I felt like I was bothering them. I asked where they would recommend for a place to eat. She said, "Downtown." I asked "Do you have a name of a place?" She pointed out the window to what I later confirmed was the direction of... downtown. Be that as it may. B'fast was a waffle maker, bread for toast, coffee, a microwave and cold cereal. Honestly, I can't remember if they even had fruit. Sorry if you're in this town looking for a place, because this is the ONLY hotel here, your stuck. Drive on.

The staff was really rude to us and our other travel ball parents . One of our moms was told to get off the stairs .. the stairs is all we had to leave or come downstairs ! My husband was hollered at for using the bathroom by pool . He was told “ use the one in your room “ . Just so much ! Our whole experience was terrible. Also if you’re expecting a breakfast with anything like eggs , bacon etc this place doesn’t have that . It’s waffle iron , cereal and yogurt . Unfortunately, our group of parents after the two nights we stayed we wouldn’t recommend staying here . Just would have been nice to of had any hospitality. It was nothing but mean glares and being stared at when we came out of our rooms .

They were short staffed so my room wasn't ready but the mgr cleaned it herself and gave me a credit. Such a nice room! No towels were left but avail. They were short staffed. I'd stay there again!

It's an older hotel, and it's not perfect, but it was well kept, and the staff was very helpful. The beds were comfortable but not luxurious, and I slept just fine. There isn't much for breakfast, but several places are close by. If you need a place to stay in North Vernon, I think it's the only choice and sure beats driving to Seymour. It has a pool, it looked nice, but I did not get in it. There is only one washer and dryer, and they worked just fine for me.
