The parking lot needs quite a bit of work done to it. There was no vinding on the property, so if you wanted something to snack on or drink, you had to go to the nearest gas station. There was a separate heater in the bathroom and it did not work, called the front desk and they said that there was nothing that they could do at that time.

This place should never be listed other than a rent a room. It is old and not kept up to date on anything. The room smell is musty, the outlets don’t work ( even where the hair dryer is installed) miss matched furniture with stains and overall disgusting.

For the price point it is a great place to stay. Older hotel but has been kept up on & renovated. Room was top notch clean & front desk lady is so nice. Will stay here again if I'm in the area.

Although this property is probably 60 years old, it was one of the cleanest and well cared for classic motels I have ever stayed in. It smelled fresh and clean and served our needs perfectly!

The second I stepped into the room. I had an awful gut feeling, sat on the bed and got bit a few times and instead of trusting my gut instinct I took a bath when I got out of the bathroom and looked at the bed. There’s at least three bedbugs crawling on the sheet when I went and told the owner he came back to the room got very aggressive denied the allegations, told me he was unable to do a refund and pretty much sent me on my way. I have never been so appalled in my entire life. Fair warning too anyone else, this place infested with bedbugs.

There were bed bugs and we could not sleep during the night. My kids had red round spots due to bed bug bites and it turned into small wounds. I had to get an antibiotic cream for them. There was no drinking water. The breakfast was too cheap. They can do boiled eggs. It was only cereal. No fruit included. It was too much cheap cut savings by the hotel. $90 for a night is not cheap. A lot needs to be improved. Drinking water is basic necessity and I had to get it from outside. Virpal

This is a situation of getting what you pay for relatively speaking because area hotels are really gouging during university events. Motel is clean but really dated to 70s or before. It’s remarkable it’s still there. Only real complaint is the AC unit is so loud that you have a choice of comfortable temperature or being able to hear anything. However as the walls are thin that was actually ok at times. You’re staying here because nothing else is available or you just can’t justify a $600 Hampton stay.

The room was dated but clean and nice. The peole were nice and refunded my last night when we checked out a day early due to a change in plans. Just had trouble sleeping as our room was near the 24 hour gas station and the heater was a bit noisy.

It was ok. Paper thin walls. Fixtures and furniture needs to be updated desperately. Room had a musty smell. Bed was comfortable. The room next to us was the party room until 2a. Felt like I was partying with them and in the middle of their conversation. Was horrible. Will not stay there again when we visit West Lafayette.

First, I was shocked when I saw this place. Looked like an old motel. Not what I expected from the photos and reviews. As soon as I opened the door, I smelled typical cheap old motel which I thought I have avoided of reserving. I would have paid more to stay in 'hotel'. The electrical cords are thru open holes in the walls. Exposed plumbing pipes in the closet w/ no doors. The holes in the walls are not sealed. Shouldn't have fire rated seals in wall between the units? The bath tub was nasty so I took a shower at the next stay in a budget hotel which was much nicer and clean. The sink and toilet were okay. The AC worked but thermostat wasn't working. At least we had 'cool' air. One of the chair was broken. The firmness of the bed was fine. The internet was slow so I had to use my hotspot from my phone. I don't know why this motel has better than average rating.

Despite the description saying the property had an open desk 24/7, they had no staff there when I arrived. I stood outside for 15 minutes calling the desk and knocking on the door. They took my money and left me stood outside.

The owners were very accommodating and friendly. I stayed during a parents weekend at Purdue because they were the only hotel in the area that did not jack their rates up to gouge the parents. There are nicer hotels out there, but The Prestige Inn has earned my business by having honorable business practices.

I got this room over Expedia and paid via discover for my two daughters who were at a concert in Chicago. Requested late check in because this was a half way point for them. They got in at 2:30 in the morning and the guy said they were past check in time and the room was not paid for. My girls only had cash on them which he did not like but it’s all they had. So he took their money and kept complaining about the time. So my girls have to finish the last leg of their trip with no cash. I called to pay over the phone with my card and ask he give them cash back and was told I could not do that. Just an unpleasant experience for them both.

I went with lower price and got what I paid for - minimum staff and amenities. Stopped to check in before getting supper, but no one was at front desk. After ringing bell a couple times and waiting a few minutes, decided to return after dinner. When returned later, a person came to front soon after ringing bell. Internet was down for guest Wi-Fi. Breakfast options:cold cereal, prepackaged sweet roll or muffins, coffee, milk, juice.

Breakfast option was slim, but to be expected. A small amount of soap was present for a shower. Everything was clean, smelled clean, very quiet, no surprise fees, and rapid check in/check out. Overall, worth the price, which was very affordable at the last minute. They had plenty of available rooms on arrival.

The one night stay was not pleasant because the air condition was so loud that I could not sleep. But when turned it off, the room was freezing cold. No hot breakfast.

Very modest hotel - the photo dresses it up a bit - it is a very modest hotel owned by a family. But it was extremely clean and comfortable. "Breakfast" is just some cereal and machine coffee but that is perfectly fine for the low low price. Plus - it is no where near the Purdue campus - you will need to drive to Purdue.

It was ok for the price we paid. However, breakfast was total trap (just some milk and cereals). Doesn't get clean feeling.

The breakfast was so poor.Infact I will call it snacking.Remove the word "Continental " from it.Also the bed linen should be white or very light color that can eqsily reveal it cleanliness. Not very dark color that you cantvouch for its cleanliness. The customer care is warm and courteous. Thanks

Exactly what I expected. It was an inexpensive room, but clean and staff was helpful. Just a place to sleep and shower. Close to campus.

Large room with nice large dresser, desk, table, 4 chairs with one foot stool. Heater in the bathroom was a real bonus.

Old motel but was a reasonable price, good location in proximity to Purdue and serviced our basic needs. Run by family and front desk is not always staffed (but available by phone). Room with two double beds was spacious and clean but had dated furniture and smelled dated. The electrical outlets were not easily accessible and had extension chords from two outlets to lamps. Not ideal for CPAP and charging phones while accessible from beds. The TV didn’t work initially, but the staff came promptly when called and figured out a chord was loose behind the TV and replaced batteries in the remote. The AC was a window unit and was noisy but effective cold air when running, but room would heat up quickly when it turned off in auto temp, two night stay. Saturday night an adjacent room was very noisy, until after 2 am. It sounded like someone was falling into a wall or slamming a door every half hour or so. The AC sound when running helped mask the noise from next door and we were tired and didn’t call management. Second night was better. The pool was covered (in mid-August). Breakfast had no juice or much of a variety and we chose to eat elsewhere. I would try to find another place next time but would stay there again if necessary.
