Staff was really nice and helpful. Check-in was good and so was breakfast. The fitness center was clean and adequate. Everything looked good in the room but it smelled like pets had been in there (I know it is a pet friendly hotel.) The pool was closed for renovations which was disappointing, but that was on me as it was listed in the description as currently closed. Overall it was a decent stay and I feel like it matched the price we paid.

We arrived at 3:30 and were told our room wouldn’t be ready for 30-60 minutes. It was 2 hours before we got into the room. There were many others waiting also. There was no accommodation for this inconvenience. Pool was closed for renovation until further notice. The room was nice when we finally got to it, but after a long days drive we were very disappointed that we had to wait until 5:30 to get in.

It is interesting that you show the pool as your introduction to this hotel. The pool looked pristine. It was all set with a large quantity of towels ready for use. Unfortunately, as you can see by the sign, it was closed 'for maintenance'. We had booked our room for 4 days, looking forward to leisurely daily swims before we went sight-seeing and met our son in the evenings after his work day. No maintenance took place. We had the feeling that the pool closure had more to do with staffing than with a problem with the pool. There was no warning of the closure when we booked the hotel, or we would have chosen another hotel. In every other way, our stay was very good. We felt a little cheated that our 'get-away' was going to be absent the pool that we had looked forward to using.

The room was nice. The halls and lobby were pretty hot. The fitness room was in poor condition. None of the four machines worked. The location for us was ideal, yet not sure we would stay here again.

The hotel was great. Parking was a bit tough as the spots were full. Would have given more stars if the hot tub and pool were open. That was the main reason for booking this hotel only to get there to find it was not open fora while.

This is a great example of great people making a run down property still a decent experience. Mark at the front desk was helpful, kind, and polite. The folks at breakfast were attentive and helpful. But the pool was closed without notice until we arrived (which travelling with kids was a big deal), the room had silver fish crawling in the sink, the paint was peeling off the wall, only one of two elevators worked, the door to our room didn't fully close and could be pushed open without a key, and the shower head was coming out of the ceiling without a proper fitting around the collar. We will probably look elsewhere the next time we are in town.

The hotel itself was decent. Our room was quite messy though. The shower had brown stains and the wall had a huge brown stain behind the door, which was pretty nasty looking. The pillows weren’t very comfortable so I would suggest to bring your own. The hotel was nice and accommodated us a room right outside of one of the side doors, which made it pretty quiet for a busy weekend at the hotel.

I always stay at Hampton, but never again at this location. I would suggest the Hampton Inn in Shawnee, Location a few miles west of this one. This Hampton is way overpriced due to the items mentioned above.

The breakfast was a smorgasbord of choices including milk, yogurt, eggs, cereal, breads and of course the waffle. The room was clean and warm. The check in was easy. The guy was friendly and gave us some suggestions for bbq eateries. Location is easy off and on the interstate.

Overall it’s a nice older property. The pool is currently closed for renovations. It’s was well kept but I would not say 100% clean. Definitely no bugs or other truly nasty stuff. We had our closet/mirror fall off and about take out my daughter. Very safe location. Staff were very nice

Wonderful stay at this hotel beginning with check-in and checking out. Clean hotel and rooms. Amazing breakfast selections with fresh fruit, warm entrees, cereals and bread items. Appreciate the larger fitness room. Easy access from freeway.

Hotel was dirty everywhere. Missing ceiling tile right outside of our room with plastic tub u set it. Strange Oder in room. Bathroom light flickered all the time. Rugs were torn. It was super tan down for a Hampton Inn and twice the price we normally pay when we stay at nice Hamptons. Would not stay there again or recommend to others.

The woman at the front desk wasn’t friendly or warm at all. She did the bare minimum to check me in. The 3rd floor smelled a little musty or maybe just “old hotel”? I went to fill my ice bucket and no ice. Shower was nice and warm with a good amount of pressure. The bed was WAY too firm and the pillows were flat. I did appreciate the nightlight in the bathroom so I didn’t need to leave an overhead light on. And the blackout curtains are a plus! Overall just okay for such an out of the way location.

The room was comfortable, easy to keep the temp where we wanted it. Since I was there for a medical procedure, we needed extra bath towels and the housekeepers obliged with a generous supply. The pool was closed for repairs, but we did not need it. I was unable to eat from the breakfast bar, but my husband did enjoy some oatmeal on the 2nd morning. Our room was fairly quiet despite being close to the highway and the railroad track. The shades were very good at keeping the room dark. However, they had a very nice bathroom night light that was ideal. The toilet was low flush noise, so also helped for night visits. The tub had a nice surface to keep you from slipping, good flow and loved the wall mounted shampoo, conditioner & body wash, as well as the sink mounted soap and lotion. The TV was a nice large screen, but could not access the Guide.

Hotel is situated very close to interstate and a railway line-noisy through the night. The bathroom in my room was very nice and obviously updated. The room and the rest of the hotel seem tired and a bit rundown. Bed was lumpy. Staff was friendly.

My review is a bit subjective, so take that as you will. My biggest gripe is the lack of climate control. There is only heat due to a boiler system. We were on the 3rd floor and our room was just hot. 75+. We kept a window open (in late January) the entire time but the relief it provided was negligible. When wer wee outside and noticed that most of the other rooms had their windows open as well, so it wasn't just us. It was just uncomfortable. As for the rooms, they were clean. The beds were not queens...full sized at best, even though advertised as queens. They were also very firm and the pillows were thick and dense as well. If you want a very firm bed and pillows, this will not bother you. But two days here left our back and necks stiff and butts sweaty. I wouldn't come back, but the staff was friendly and breakfast good. It was just uncomfortable.

From a clean and comfort factor I would 200% stay here again. That said, the front desk staff could use some training…when checking in I told the man at the front desk I wanted to use a different card, he said it was no problem and had me swipe the card. Well the original card was charged for the room, for a different amount that what I was told on Hotels.com so I wait for checkout to tell them what happened…and say I wanted to be charged the correct amount on the correct card. There was a man and a woman at the desk, the man was trying to assist me and wasn’t understanding, the woman explained it to him and he was still having issues. Instead of helping him the woman sat there snickering and making gestures until I said “you could at least help him…” that’s when things were “resolved” I’m waiting for the transition to fall off the wrong card before I can say for certain it is taken care of.

We enjoyed the hotel. It was beautiful and comfortable. The room was spacious. The main disappointment we had was when the power went out overnight and until the next day when we left. There were no backup generators. We reserved a one bedroom suite with two queen beds and a couch to accommodate my husband and I and our two teenaged children. When we got to our room, we discovered we had been given just a single room with two queen beds, which was not sufficient. The man at the front desk told us that there were no two-queen suites available, but was quick to find an alternative option which worked out fine. The biggest disappointment was that the pool was under construction. Nothing on the website gave indication of this, so other than calling the hotel to ask, there was no way for us to know. The floor and our room had the worst most overpowering chemical cleaning smell I have ever experienced. My nose and eyes were burning. I contacted Expedia and Hilton to try and get a refund so we could change hotels and absolutely no one could help me because there wasn’t a manager on staff available, which is completely unacceptable.

Made the booking emergently when our AC broke in a 90 degree heat wave. When we couldn’t get our dogs boarded, I had to cancel less than 12 hours from booking and they charged me $200 because it wasn’t cancelled within 24 hours of the check in time. Zero compassion.

The property was conveniently located by the highway, which let me get to places like downtown and the stadiums very quickly. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and it is the first Hampton Inn that I have received complimentary water bottles (two!l and tolietries). Hallways werent the most clean, but that was because there were renovations.

The hotel is clean and pretty comfortable, but housekeeping cleaned only the bathroom once in 5 days. The plumbing is noisy when other neighboring rooms use their showers especially at night. Breakfast buffet is decent. Safe location and near the highway, but also there was loud highway construction and a train track nearby.

We liked the courtesy of the staff and the cleanliness of our room. We did not like that the hot breakfast was way late on Saturday morning. We had to leave and could not wait any longer. Short staff or someone forgot…I don’t know? The Hotel needs a remodel… it’s been beat up.

Our stay was excellent. It was close to everything we were interested in. Hotel amenities were great. Two things we were not as enthusiastic about - the breakfast was very dull (same thing everyday). The air con unit was so loud, it sounded like a jet taking off when it came up. Otherwise, no complaints.

Updated rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had an above average selection of hot items and fresh fruit. Pool is nice. Our bed in the suite was incredibly comfortable. The suite was spacious and had everything we needed for a great stay!

The only good part of this hotel was the housekeeping staff were mostly responsive to our requests. When we arrived there was no water but we weren't told that. The hotel lost power during our stay and they did not communicate with us about it at all. No estimated time of it coming back on, no explanation, nothing. You can feel the spring in the beds, the water pressure was absimal. I've never stayed somewhere that ran out of cold water but several times in the middle of my shower (without touching the knob) the water turned scalding hot. The ice machines weren't working on our floor, the hallways were hot, humid, and have ripped carpet every few steps. They should do a remodel or charge less. We rented out the meeting room and after being ignored for months we finally got ahold of the manager and felt better about everything until the day of, the staff were not prepared, the room was not set up, they did eventually find table cloths, that were all black but different fabrics and all very old and worn, on top of that they gave us the projector with no power cord and shrugged at us when we told them the AC wasn't working and it was sweltering hot in the room. I still haven't gotten a response email from the manager and it's been days at this point. We were looking for a place to stay every year when we visit and this was NOT it. I would highly recommend finding a different hotel.
