Place is very run down!!!

The room was clean and comfortable but tub and faucets in tub and sink are outdated.

Days Inn used to be a safe bet for middle of the road motels. Unfortunately, my stay at the Wichita branch was absolutely disgusting! To start off with, the room reeked of pine-sol to the point where I had to prop the hallway door open. There was a door that opened to the outside as well, but it was sealed shut... pretty sure that's a violation of fire code since the evac route was through that door. The sink handle was not attached, so it was fun turning the water on and off. There was a cigarette burn in one of the bed covers. BUT! The biggest concern of all was the state of the bathroom. I have *never* seen a bathroom as run-down as this even at super cheap motels! Tons of mold around the tub caulking. Broken tiles. The tub floor lining (where you would stand to shower) was pealing and missing in spots. The paint was just... dirty. I really regret not going to the manager but I'd been driving for 12 hours that day and pretty much just passed out. I got up early, didn't shower (obviously) and checked out the breakfast bar which also sucked. Sigh. Oh well, guess Days Inn is no longer on my short list. :(

We were welcomed by a beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby and some kind of cozy fragrance. I was only sad the next morning that the cheese omelettes were gone by 8:40!!
