Nothing fancy but clean and parking right outside the room. Easy to get to, right off the interstate. Had a small refrigerator, microwave and blow dryer. Perfect for me and my granddaughters for one night. Only had two towels and they were thin. I would stay overnight again if in the area.

This motel is right off the Interstate so very convenient. It’s an older place, but has been kept up. No amenities, but has the standard things most motels have. It was clean our overnight stay was adequate.

The room was filthy! The bed mattress was totally wore out and rolled the one side, I stepped on a roach crawling across the floor as we were going out to get dinner. And no I will not stay there again! I just can’t believe he would even offer that room.

When I got in the room the sheets weren't changed and the bathroom had dirt stains on the bottom of the bathtub. I really do like the hotel just my experience this time wasn't as good as my previous experience. They told me not to book on app and not to book over the phone and they tried blaming me for the the bathroom being dirty when I was only in room in mornings and afternoon.

Hotel has a lot of good reviews. Maybe I just got a crappy room. It was ok clean but bathroom was not that clean. Or maybe the tile was just so old that it couldn’t be cleaned. Room looked to be an adjoining room. Looked like a door had been blocked up and patched not good. Cracks in walls. Funny smell in the room may have be insences

There was a heavy damp moldy smell. Holes and stains in the towels. Beds were very uncomfortable. Tub backed up and we stood in 6 inches of water. Microwave was dirty before we used it. Fridge was not cold enough at all. When we first arrived the manager walked in front of us into the office by five feet and didn’t hold the door open for us and just let it shut in our face. No smiles from the two people running it. No “thank you for staying with us” or checking on our needs during our stay. I expected a little more courtesy and comfort. The rooms weren’t super cheap either, so I expected a little more. Will not stay there again.

Clean room, comfortable bed and easy access right off the interstate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Older facility with few amenities, but it was a nice, quiet room and a great value for the price. All I needed was a decent place to sleep and this worked well.

Great beds with soft sheets. AC worked well and soft sound that covered outside traffic noise nicely. Easy access to highway and restaurants. Nice people.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, and affordable as well as being a highly convenient location which is easy to get into and out of. Beds comfortable, excellent TV with plenty of channel selections, superb air conditioner which could make the room as cool as I wanted it. My only complaint is that the shower head was too low. I have never understood why any hotel or motel has shower heads that are too low, as water flows downward due to gravity anyway so the shower head could be located 7 feet above tub level and still be plenty accessible for adjustment by adults of virtually any height. This problem exists in many hotels/motels I have stayed at over the years and there is no reasonable excuse for why that is. Water pressure was great for taking a shower, so I have no complaints with that. All in all I was very pleased with my 4 night stay here and would stay here again whenever I am in Madisonville, Kentucky in the future. I say to my fellow travelers--don't hesitate to stay here--you'll be glad you did, as it is an excellent combination of clean/comfortable/quiet/convenient location/affordable price.

I first noticed the door stuck. I had to kick it shut. But after I saw how clean it was and with a refrigerator, microwave, ironing board, iron, blow dryer and nice tv, the door really didn’t matter. It was obvious to me that the owners are really trying to keep things up in an economy that is hard to do that. We enjoyed our stay but the bed was too firm for me. That is just a personal preference

Very convenient for travelers on this side of town. Lots of restaurants with easy access to the interstate and downtown Madisonville. Lovely stay, clean room, great WiFi, good TV. Would recommend.

Bed was a little stiff, ac was cool but wasnt cold. Staff was great. Blankets were very thin. I enjoyed my stay but the blankets really hurt the sleep.

It was nice and cozy. The person upstairs sounded like he was moving furniture and bowling- it was so loud. I called front desk and it was taken care of. It is a nice area and I will be staying there again.

Basically got what we paid for. Much cheaper than other hotels in the area. Had good reviews on Expedia. The check in man was very nice. But the property info stated 24/7 front desk. He was there for us, but behind a locked door where you had to be buzzed in. Some others in our party arrived later than us and were unable to check in because they couldn't get anyone to answer the door. The room was fairly clean. Shower head was super low and tub didn't drain which was gross. I specifically stated I had three in our room, pretty sure I even paid an extra $5 for that. But there were only enough towels in our room for 2 people. So I had to go back to the lobby, get buzzed in, and request another set of towels. Beds weren't very comfy and I had to request another pillow which I did get. At 8:30 the next morning, housekeeping opened our door without even knocking even though check out was 11:00. When we did go to check out, no one was at the front desk. Sign said they were cleaning rooms and to come find them. We didn't want their little bit of breakfast, but if you did, not sure how you were supposed to get to it. I just left our room key by our door. If you just need an airconditioned room with a bed and a shower, it'll work. If we come to this town again, though, I'll pay to stay at one of the nicer places.

Management was very nice to work with us with our problem with booking. When I booked with Expedia I broke for non-smoking room handicap. After I give him the credit card number and confirm the room that I was getting. Expedia change the rooms I were booking to smoking non handicap. And I got to the hotel the manager got the rooms that we originally wanted. Expedia does not have anyone you can call like they used to if you had any problems. So if you book with Expedia you're stuck with what they gave you.

Beds comfortable, excellent TV with plenty of channel selections, superb air conditioner which could make the room as cool as I wanted it. My only complaint is that the shower head was too low. I have never understood why any hotel or motel has shower heads that are too low, as water flows downward due to gravity anyway so the shower head could be located 7 feet above tub level and still be plenty accessible for adjustment by adults of virtually any height. This problem exists in many hotels/motels I have stayed at over the years and there is no reasonable excuse for why that is. Water pressure was great for taking a shower, so I have no complaints with that. All in all I was very pleased with my 4 night stay here and would stay here again whenever I am in Madisonville, Kentucky in the future. I say to my fellow travelers--don't hesitate to stay here--you'll be glad you did, as it is an excellent combination of clean/comfortable/quiet/convenient location/affordable price.

The cost was cheaper than anything around and it offered easy access to the freeway, felt safe, and exactly as pictured. The owners are nice people and accommodating.

Very convenient for travelers on this side of town. Lots of restaurants with easy access to the interstate and downtown Madisonville. Lovely stay, clean room, great WiFi, good TV. Would recommend.

Clean room, comfortable bed and easy access right off the interstate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Older facility with few amenities, but it was a nice, quiet room and a great value for the price. All I needed was a decent place to sleep and this worked well.

I meant to put 2 stars over all but it put in 4 stars. No amenities to speak of, my receipt says continental breakfast but person at desk said they haven't had breakfast for 3 years. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall at any time. Would not return to this place.

Basically got what we paid for. Much cheaper than other hotels in the area. Had good reviews on Expedia. The check in man was very nice. But the property info stated 24/7 front desk. He was there for us, but behind a locked door where you had to be buzzed in. Some others in our party arrived later than us and were unable to check in because they couldn't get anyone to answer the door. The room was fairly clean. Shower head was super low and tub didn't drain which was gross. I specifically stated I had three in our room, pretty sure I even paid an extra $5 for that. But there were only enough towels in our room for 2 people. So I had to go back to the lobby, get buzzed in, and request another set of towels. Beds weren't very comfy and I had to request another pillow which I did get. At 8:30 the next morning, housekeeping opened our door without even knocking even though check out was 11:00. When we did go to check out, no one was at the front desk. Sign said they were cleaning rooms and to come find them. We didn't want their little bit of breakfast, but if you did, not sure how you were supposed to get to it. I just left our room key by our door. If you just need an airconditioned room with a bed and a shower, it'll work. If we come to this town again, though, I'll pay to stay at one of the nicer places.

The room had sink flies, a hole in the ceiling near the bathroom leaking some type of black mold. The advertisement was a coffee with available every day but the lobby was locked the majority of the time.

A great place to stop on a road trip. Nice staff. Great price. Everything in good working order. Clean bedding. The bathroom could use a bit of TLC and the coffee left something to be desired but I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again.

There are several hotels in which to stay at this intersection outside Madisonville, Kentucky, but only one is clean, in good repair, and costs the least by far whereas the others are likely clean and and in good repair, offer a pool and a hotel lobby-style breakfast and COST THREE TIMES AS MUCH. Locally owned, and managed by a very sweet Indian couple, Big Spring Inn is very basic. I found it a very pleasant place to stay. Having avoided the big chain hotels across the highway I’m going to take my savings, fill my tank with gas, and have a real breakfast next door at Cracker Barrel before leaving town. If you need a pool, and enjoy cereal for breakfast, you might need one of the expensive places.

Pros: Ma and Pa run. Inexpensive. Felt safe. Cons: Dirty… cleaned up dead roaches. Smelled bad even after I lysoled, but could have been since they put me in a smoking room. Nicotine dripped off walls.

I give it five stars for VALUE. Male senior citizen traveler from northern Illinois visiting family. This is not a five star hotel but everything worked. It was feel like 100° in Madisonville Kentucky when I arrived and the air-conditioning was set at 72 for my arrival. The Wi-Fi was good. The refrigerator was quite large in my room. A lot of room in the freezer area also. There were plenty of offerings for viewing on the television. Excellent water pressure for the shower. A microwave is provided, but I never used it. I consider the room clean. The furniture had some wear and tear (character) and the walls some minor peeling paint, but you judge for yourself. The bed was to the firm side but I slept well. It is just off the interstate in a fairly remote area and I felt safe. Plenty of nearby restaurant options. I was there the weekend after the 4th of July 2026 for four nights and the tab came in under $300. I’ll be back. Caveat. It is in Kentucky and most of the rooms are smoking rooms. But it was one of the most pleasant smoking rooms I’ve ever stayed at. I travel with plug-ins, air freshener and candles but did not use. I’ve stayed in non-smoking rooms that weren’t as good. So maybe not for all. I’ll be back next year. Thank you staff.

Great place to spend the night nothing fancy but clean , affordable , and in a good area. Coffee in the room would have been nice but the manager did sell some canned drinks , water and a few candy bars in the office.
