Clean and somewhat updated. Good pool

If you want elegance, stay elsewhere, but if you want economical, stay here. We stayed the weekend in 103, and was comfortable! It was very hot and humid, and the room was wet with humidity, as the fan was the only thing on when we entered, but after A/C was engaged, it dried up the floors, etc…the bed was comfy, and the room was clean. NO bugs!! The pool was nice, and breakfast consisted of, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, mini cinnamon rolls, a couple kinds of dry cereal, and packets of hot cereals, and yogurt…along with regular coffee, milk, and a juice machine…(no meat:( )…My only warning would be, watch out for the hot water…it gets very hot, and the shower has great pressure!!

This place should have been shut down until repairs were completed! Drive up to find awning pulled up No TV or Telephone. No electric to one lamp. Room was dingy.

Wish the pool had been open, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and the location right off the exit made it easy to find

The hotel has sustained significant Tornado damage 2 years ago and again 2 months ago. Exterior was significantly damaged and I was not made aware of this fact at time of booking. Staff were very pleasant and the interior of the room was fine.

Me and my children have enjoyed Wingfield Inn as our weekend get away spot all summer! The staff is helpful and friendly; they keep their rooms and the pool area exceptionally clean, and their breakfast in the morning is delicious!

We saw a lot of construction in front and around Wingfield Inn. Called to check about reservations. Was told they had no reservations for us. Tried with several possible names but no reservations seen. Went to different locations. Did not stay so can not review.Looks like it would be an ok place to stay when construction is finished.

I loved the pool, room was clean, they cleaned everyday. They definitely spent money on upgrades, So called breakfast was not much to offer but for the price the motel was very good.

Things were okay it needs updating. I know its an old motel but the staff was very kind and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay again like last year. Still no pool working due to inspection needing to be done which is a bummer. Hotels.com should not have this hotel pop up with that being an amenity. Our tub had a bunch of water in it so we went to call the front desk & our phone was not working. I used my cell phone & she said, "someone will be right down." After waiting 2 hours we went to the lobby and waited for someone at the desk to never show so we left & I fixed the tub myself so we could shower. I mentioned it to the lady working again the next morning and she said she was changing shifts. Either way it was not addressed. We went to the breakfast & they had a nice variety of convenience type breakfast food.

The room was clean.

Bathroom floor and molding dirty, paint peeling from ceiling and door. Lamp shades stained with mold and whatever. Shears in window moldy. Whoever cleans needs to take more time cleaning around toilet and tub. Nothing that a little TLC couldn’t fix. I’ve been staying there for 6 years and this is the worse room yet. Flies in the room from the door being propped open by my guess a smoker. Cigarette butts tossed every where on sidewalk, parking lot, landscaping. Not. A good look. Fighting the flies made it hard to fall asleep.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff.

Have stayed here many times and am very happy. Cleanliness, price and staff all great.

The room was not clean. The floor was filthy, the curtains had questionable crusty spots, and the Refrigerator was covered in mold. Luckily the beds were the cleanest part of the room. Beds squeaked loudly if you looked at them. I will not return!

Front desk employee was very nice and friendly. The room was not clean- the chair has crumbs in the seat, there is a fly in the room, the towels are stained, and the floor was dirty. I think the cost of this room was too high for what you get.

Room & premises pleasantly very clean (reported by hubby & friend travelling, claiming possibly recent upgrading). Breakfast consisted of only cereal, donuts/bagels available...managed to get last of coffee. For rate, would not expect more & would stay again. (Staff also quick in actually responding to 1st floor request, via email)

There was nothing wrong with the room. It was older but was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave

Had problem with the commode stopped up and it took 2 hours before someone came. The TV didn't work when I first checked in and it took an hour before they came and fixed that.

Probably the most dangerous bathroom I have been in for years. No safety bars, no slip proof surface, nothing to help if someone should slip and lose their balance. A lawsuit just waiting to happen. Good luck

Tv didn't work, bugs in room, dirty stuff everywhere, no bottle water dispenser, broken gym equipment, no air conditioner in gym. I could go on but that's enough.

Old motel, no carpet, outdated.

These rooms have outdoor entrances and vinyl floors, which are actually kind of nice for keeping odors down. It smelled great and seemed clean. The building is a little on the old side, and over time, there's been some slopping painting, but that's just minor aesthetics in my opinion. My only real issue would be that the walls seemed thin. I could hear traffic outside, people in neighboring rooms, etc.

Older property, price was decent for area

I was there for a very busy weekend. Other guests were congregating on the central balcony with boom box and open alcohol. I was not comfortable with that since I was staying alone. No action taken by hotel

Checkin was fast and easy. Superb Service received from the Lady at the front desk and also the Gentleman when I checked out. Cleanliness of Lobby, Dining and our room was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Love the floors in the room , they were wood instead of nasty carpet. Dining and Shops,vWalmart etc. within a couple of miles from property.

It is simply "not right" in any way to charge a fee of $50 to the credit card as some sort of security scam as I am at the registration desk of the Inn...and they say, the amount will be charged to my credit card account and later taken off if there is no damage to the room. As of today, March 21, I have not received any information as to the charge and its\' removal/credit to my account...now, you get ahold of the Wingfield Inn and find out why the charge was posted but no credit was posted even though the Wingfield staff said the credit would take place in a day or two after my March 14th stay...I want answers...not apologies

The staff is awesome and very attentive. The grounds are clean and very well kept.

Hidden Gem! Totally redone! Quiet setting next to a high school football stadium. Friendly staff, hot breakfast. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Mayfield, stay here. Did I forget to mention very reasonable rates.

It was ok convenient off highway staff was helpful and nice

Very budget motel. Daily Service, Nice breakfast bar, Coffee was available through the day. For a visit with family, I stayed extra days because of affordability. That trumps distance from downtown and small rooms for me.

Clean room. Not fancy…but not outdated, either. Safe area.

Broken coffee pot, bathtub drained poorly, no exhaust fan in bathroom. Poor breakfast, albeit free. Staff very nice.

I was hoping for better breakfast choices. All they had were a few mini muffins, yogurt, cereal and milk.

Bathroom was dirty no towels in the bathroom half a roll of toilet paper. Very poor breakfast and staff really didn’t seem too friendly.

I like to support the 'little guy'. The independent operator in a small town. This one deserves no such support. First the positive: Comfortable bed, 'pause button' on the TV, Waffles different and good,exterior looks nice and the rooms were clean. Now the negative: no desk lamp (no outlet for it even),flimsy molded stacking desk chair was only chair in room, vey worn stair treads in back, cable junction box broken and exposed,dresser drawer hardly opens, Tiny TV for 2024,no bath mat for slippery tub unless requested at front desk, single ice machine for entire property (noisy and in breakfast area), flavorless sausage and gravy,worst pre made scrambled egg patty, juice machine was never working for the 4 days we were there,very dated electrical in room all outlets used but 4 on lamps none by desk (CPAPs, phones, computers, room clock require more). Now for the really bad. Having made reservations on Expedia I hadn't notice the 6 AM prior day change restriction. Having stayed 3 previous night and looking to leave on the last night of a 2 night reservation I did not consider it out of line to ask for an early out a day and a half prior. The owner, as is their prerogative, denied my request, which I consider very poor business practice. But that is not what really frosts me. The manager later offered to accept a cancellation if I rebooked at 4X the price for the first night (eclipse demand pricing) as though that was an acceptable compromise.
