The room smelled, the remote didn’t work, the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty, there was no shower gel dispenser and no bar soap whatsoever so no soap of any kind, the light switch cover inside our room was busted, there was dirt and grime in the corner of the elevator, the bathroom floor was dirty, the wall by the 3rd floor elevator was smeared and dirty, the hot tub was 4” too low water level and lukewarm, and and the swimming area wasn’t taken care of and had no towels, the water. The workers weren’t rude, but they were apathetic. The breakfast had scrambled eggs and a few biscuits, and waffles to make but no meat. For the experience, this hotel stay should have cost half the price!

The staff was very nice however the pool and hot tub area was disgusting. The water in the hot tub was brown. The air in the pool area didn't work. The ice makers on all floors didn't work. The carpets were stained in the hallways. The AC didn't work well in our room. The stairwell steps were sticky and gross. The shower curtain was ripped. I would not recommend.

The first room had a dirty toilet and food in the fridge so they moved us to another room and the stool began leaking water and flooded the floor on second day and they moved us to a third room. Staff was as helpful, but all 3 rooms were dirty. Definitely not cleaned well. Property needed some upgrades. And a discount was never offered for all we put up with.

Dirty, unchanged sheets, dirty cabinet faces and dresser both with visible liquid and other unknown substance dripping and dried on them, trash still in bathroom and oil and hair on kitchenette sink. Pictures were sent to establishment. Only nice part about our stay was Jessica at the front desk. She was very kind, hardworking and understanding of our frustration. She did her best to accommodate.

The room was not ready when we got there. They were not happy that we booked through a "third party". I was told they charged a lot more for their rooms versus what we were paying. The lady that was in charge of housekeeping was outside smoking. The lady at the front desk kept texting her to see if the room was cleaned/ready. She was out there when we drove up. She finally came in and called someone to check. Before we went up to the room, the lady behind the desk said if we didn't like the room, the only thing she could do was give our money back. We could move to another hotel because they didn't have another room available. We went to the room; it was dirty and the smell was horrible. I tried to find another hotel but could not find one in our budget. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning products to clean our room. We will not be staying at Comfort Inn in Owensboro, KY again. Very disappointed!!!

This was the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. The room was very dirty and torn down. The sheets were stained with blood and make up on both beds. The carpets were dirty with forks and plastic tops, chips and other food items. There was a dirty blanket rolled up under the pull out bed. There was ants all over the room even in our clothing and spiders in the windows. The bathroom was very dirty and there’s was hair all over the shower and floor in the bathroom. There was no light bulbs in any of the lamps except one and the smoke detector was broken and hanging off the wall. The ac unit blew warm air and was also broken in half. I’m very disappointed that we paid an extra $100 for the conference room for my daughter’s party. We booked 3 weeks in advance and even came early the day of to make sure everything was ready. The conference room was full of dangerous power equipment, wood pieces and lots of gallons of paint. There was no tissue in the bathroom and no extra trash bags. This pushed her party back 2 hours and most of her guest could not attend due to the time changes.

One of the dirtiest hotels I’ve visited in years. My bedding and towels were clean, but the floors, elevator, dining area, lobby were absolutely filthy. There were no other places to stay, so I couldn’t leave. Ice machine didn’t work. The door wouldn’t latch and had to be fixed. There’s mold growing in the window grooves. The staff was friendly and the room was quiet. I was looking forward to a nice stay, but I’m just glad it’s over.

Stay was hood. Just needed an overnight stay with decent bed and clean room. Overall it was average. The place needs updating. Electrcal plug-ins were minimal and added multi plugins were mostly useless because they wouldn't hold a plug to recharge phones, etc. As with older motels, they don’t have ample plugins at the nightstand for cpap machines, so the clock had to be unplugged.

Despite them being obciously short staffed and our room not being ready for about an hour after arriving. The staff were great! Offered us snacks and drinks, opened the pool for us so kids could swim. Rooms are very large, cleab and comfortable beds. Would stay here again!

I walked in the front lobby door and the smell of Marijuana was very strong. Spots of coffee and soda was on the floor. The elevator moved extremely slow and had food on the floor. Property had signs about beginning stages of remodeling. It was definitely outdated.

The wi-fi was down the entire 3 days I was there. I had to go to the public libary to get internet. Some of the staff when asked about it snapped at people! No adjustments were offered to the rate. For 10 visits of the years to Owensboro I have always stayed here. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN EVEN IF I MUST PAY A HIGHER PRIDE. Tom Skiratko

Great Staff! Hotel was clean and convenient. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. Barbie at front desk was wonderful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Owensboro.

Great Staff! Hotel was clean and convenient. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. Barbie at front desk was wonderful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Owensboro.

The police where there when we arrived due to an incident with the lady working the front desk. Something had been stolen...she wouldn't check me in...was obviously involved in the theft and was definitely intoxicated. Would have not stayed but couldnt get our money back.

The room was not ready when we got there. They were not happy that we booked through a "third party". I was told they charged a lot more for their rooms versus what we were paying. The lady that was in charge of housekeeping was outside smoking. The lady at the front desk kept texting her to see if the room was cleaned/ready. She was out there when we drove up. She finally came in and called someone to check. Before we went up to the room, the lady behind the desk said if we didn't like the room, the only thing she could do was give our money back. We could move to another hotel because they didn't have another room available. We went to the room; it was dirty and the smell was horrible. I tried to find another hotel but could not find one in our budget. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning products to clean our room. We will not be staying at Comfort Inn in Owensboro, KY again. Very disappointed!!!

We get to our room and it had not been cleaned dirty slept in beds, dirty fridge and dirty bathroom (pee all over toilet) we had to wait 2 hours before we could use our room to get ready for our event and was almost late to it. I asked for a refund but have not received any info from anyone and manager will not call me back

1. The pool area needs worked on-holes in ceiling and pieces of ceiling falling - 2. We were charged for our rooms at check in. Bank showed it however, I received over 10 texts from my bank regarding hotel trying to take the $ out. At checkout I showed them texts and the withdrawal. She showed me her computer and over 10 times it was trying to take our money out but showed “voided”…. However, after checking out I have received no more texts so don’t know if glitch in system in storm but they should have tried harder to figure it out

Front desk staff not very friendly at check in. Felt like we were disturbing him. Got into lower level as requested, but no blankets and it was cool in the room, turned up heat, but never really got warm. Next to pool and was loud, until pool closed down. Breakfast was pretty good and staff was very friendly during breakfast. Juice was really watered down, eggs were really good, as well as biscuits and gravy. Sausage not very good

Amazing team! Getting remodeled starting next month. Pool & hot tub wonderful! The entire staff goes above & beyond at ANY hour. Felt like we were family! Breakfast was good & well stocked. Lemon water in lobby, free microwave popcorn & couple of waters waiting in room nice extra touch. Quinton amazing from check in &went the extra mile multiple times. Front desk gal with red hair(didn’t get name) was outstanding & over the top as well! Best service experience in very long time! Great location easy to get around. Barbie, Check-in Manager, was EXCELLENT She was friendly and did everything, including o changing our room groom 2nd floor to 3rd because of the horrific smell on the floor & our initial room. No coffee at breakfast Friday morning!! Windows, window ceils were filth dirty with black hook and bugs!! Screens on windows were shredded /torn.. No housekeeping Friday AM. The wi-fi was down the entire 3 days I was there. I had to go to the public libary to get internet. Some of the staff when asked about it snapped at people! No adjustments were offered to the rate. For 10 visits of the years to Owensboro I have always stayed here. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN EVEN IF I MUST PAY A HIGHER PRIDE. Tom Skiratko

Staff was exceptionally friendly. Facility is clean but not in great shape, they're in the process of remodeling/painting. Location of hotel seems like it could be sketchy but I had no issues.

The breakfast was pretty good, lots of choices. Swimming pool was not heated when we were in. Hot tub wasn't working when we arrived but did get fixed while we were there. Room and number of beds worked well for us which is sometimes hard for us to find. Not a pretty surrounding area, but in a very convenient area with a good price. Would stay there again.

I did not like the large stains in the carpet. The air conditioning unit was noisy. In the breakfast area, there was no regular coffee. The attendant said she had told them a week ago that she needed regular coffee, but she never received it. She was polite and kept the area well stocked and clean, so it wasn't her fault; it was the fault of management.

The rep who checked us in was extremely rude. We asked for extra towels to go swimming and she wanted us of telling us towels were in there already. The air in our room was broken and had to be ran for hours before it cooled down. During breakfast my daughter bit into a rotten apple. The gentleman who was tending to the bar served half frozen sausages. When I took them back to him from being in my plate already he took them and put them back in the cooler and served them on the buffet once they were done. He ran out of simple things like milk, yogurt, bread and waffle mix.

The room smelled, the remote didn’t work, the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty, there was no shower gel dispenser and no bar soap whatsoever so no soap of any kind, the light switch cover inside our room was busted, there was dirt and grime in the corner of the elevator, the bathroom floor was dirty, the wall by the 3rd floor elevator was smeared and dirty, the hot tub was 4” too low water level and lukewarm, and and the swimming area wasn’t taken care of and had no towels, the water. The workers weren’t rude, but they were apathetic. The breakfast had scrambled eggs and a few biscuits, and waffles to make but no meat. For the experience, this hotel stay should have cost half the price!

The personal in fixing the breakfast was helpful. All the staff was friendly. I had one day had to tell them to make my bed, they were in there earlier and didn't make the bed. I'm not for sure but I don't think they ran the sweeper or mop daily. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay.

Was promised a refund by Brandy and now my calls aren’t being answered. Was hung up on when told I was being put through to the General Manager Carla. Added an extra night into our stay and was called while at the amusement park about us not leave at checkout. Then had to have our room moved while we were out because we had been put into a handicap accessible room without needing it to be handicap accessible.

The staff was very helpful. The front desk receptionist moved my family and I into a bigger room after noticing I had 3 children with me. The breakfast was hot and yummy with good variety. The pool was warm!

When we first arrived walked threw doors place smelled very funky. We went up to the room it was very musty. The place is under renovations on every floor. We got a different room which was a upgrade but walked in still had a smell but not as bad then first room but the suite part were living room and kitchen was wasn't cleaned properly the chair had stains and had a big cob Web from chair to fireplace. The garbage can still had garbage in them. Bathroom wasn't clean good.

We would definitely book this hotel again. First of all, the front deak staff is excellent: very helpful and kind and accommodating. We encountered a male and a female and they were both AWESOME. The female let us check in early, and after I spilled cereal on the floor the male was so nice about it and cleaned it up instead of letting me do it. The room was exactly what we needed, two queens and a couch bed: clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were working and clean. The staff even came out to help us turn the hot tub on. Somehow, the room was cheaper than what we booked it for. Breakfast was adequate. They are setting up new furniture all over the hotel, which is nice to see they are fixing things up. Some items here and there could use a little maintenance, but for the price, you cannot beat this hotel. We travel alot as a family of 6, so we know a good hotel. If you want fancy, maybe this isnt for you. But if you want friendly staff and a clean comfortable place to stay, pick here. The whole town is full of nice people and the hotel is easily accessible with food and stores very close. 7 brew is right down the road! Walmart within 2 mins. Close enough to Holiday World.
