Wingate by Wyndham West Monroe

The rooms are not throughly clean There was hair in the bathroom sink and the faucet in the bathroom was broken! The owner is penny pinching as well the prices continue to rise but the conditions are not improving that was my last stay at Wingate!

My stay was pretty good! I think the hotel could be elevated a little with a nice aroma in the lobby when you enter and a few more bath amenities like shower caps, and facial tissue. Overall, it was pleasant and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The room was somewhat clean, but there were several issues that made our stay uncomfortable. The indoor pool was dirty and extremely cold. In our bathroom, there were no clean washcloths—only a used, wet one left near the sink. We also found what appeared to be a partially smoked marijuana blunt left under the plastic cups in the room, and the window had been left open, likely due to someone smoking beforehand. The staff was very nice, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. I won’t be staying here again.

I chose the hotel based on continental breakfast and indoor pool. We were only staying one night. When we arrived, the pool was closed and was told it would not be open till Friday. We left to make other plans. When we returned, the pool was open, but we had made other plans. There was a door accessing the mechanical space that was unlocked to our room. There was also a noisy compressor running in that space. Bathroom door would not shut and light was dim. We were moved to a better room, but there was no hair dryer in the morning. Twice, got the smell of marijuana from the cleaning staff while entering elevators. For breakfast, it appeared to have been put up early, if it was even offered, resulting in us having to go spend more money for quick breakfast. Spending $240 for one night, was upsetting and I will not be back to that property again. Waste of money when I could have spent way less. Not a great experience and wish I would have complained for partial refund.

There was hair in the sink of my first room, and in the second room, there was hair all in the tub. The staff was friendly.
