The Hilton Garden Arlington is quite a nice hotel in a very good area. The underground parking was a tad tricky to navigate. The onsite restaurant, although good, could offer more selections and not end service at 9:00 p.m.!!

They charge daily parking but a parking space is not guaranteed. We arrived Friday night and stayed until Tuesday, parking garage at weekend is full and we didn’t have a space to park even we paid the daily parking fee.

Our stay was good, the property was very nice and clean, staff was great. The one and only issue, a big one, was the elevators. There is NO SIGNAGE that only 1 elevator will take you to Garage Level 1 and the other elevator, right next to it, will only take you to Garage Level 2 & 3. You have no control over which elevator shows up when you call for it. So we had to keep tricking the one elevator to stop on multiple high level floors to get the other elevator to show up for us and get us to the proper garage level. This is a huge issue, especially when transporting all your belongings to your vehicle. FIX THIS and PUT SIGNAGE - BUT BOTH ELEVATORS SHOULD STOP ON ALL 3 GARAGE LEVELS. We should not have to waste time tricking the elevators.

Check in was smooth & easy. Front desk staff were welcoming& helpful. We worked with Gary & Anjou. They helped us and made our stay pleasant. Now before I say what was wrong, I again want to say Anjou and Gary did rectify the situation. We first checked in and got our key. Upon entering our room we could smell “sewage” we thought being the city maybe plumbing issues. Well in the restroom our first glance it looked clean but when it came to flushing the toilet there was feces on the handle and splattered on the tank. We alerted Gary at front desk and asked if someone could come and clean the restroom. We left the room to have dinner, when we returned we pulled down the sheets and found debris in the sheets. Went back to front desk and let the staff know our situation. Immediately Anjou said no you have already had a problem earlier we’re going to move you to another room. This isn’t ok & it’s not the first time we’ve heard this. Please excuse the inconvenience we apologize about that-we just hired new staff and they aren’t used to having the standard our hotel holds. We’re still training them. We changed rooms, got a better room but did notice the towels were dirty in the restroom, hair wiped on the wall from previous guests & filters from vape in the foldout bed. At this point it’s late, we just ask for more towels and wipe down the room ourselves.

Hotel was clean and in a good location. Had to ask for towels on multiple occasions. They only bring them every other day apparently. Shower drain was clogged on when we got there, asked for someone to come take a look at it, they never did. Ended up fixing it ourselves.

I thought the room, property, hotel lobby, cleanliness, room and property condition, etc. were all very nice and accommodating. My only negative comment concerns the air conditioning unit in the room. It is much too loud, even on the low setting, and disruptive to a good rest.

Check-in had a few hiccups.The first room we got either hadn’t been cleaned or wasn’t properly cleaned, so we requested a new one. Our second room was overall fine but the blinds were broken (they’re electronically controlled, like a thermostat?) so we went downstairs to get it fixed and they gave us a new room. The third room was clean, the blinds were working, and it even had a couch! No issues with the property after we had been settled into the third room. The area is walkable but beware that there are some steep hills. Bike lanes along the road in front of the hotel and most of Arlington. The property is also within walking distance of several Metro stations, but Court House was closest. Plenty of food and drink options nearby. Parking is $26 per day, so I recommend this hotel to anyone not bringing a car. This is the perfect destination for anyone wanting to get around via walking, biking, or transit.

The best front staff ever. I left my phone in a taxi cab and was obviously really upset because I really needed the phone. The staff calmed me down and told me they would do their best to retrieve the phone. Sure enough I received a call in my hotel room and was told they had reached the taxi driver and he was on his way to drop off my phone. Was I lucky to have the best hotel front staff in Washington DC going above and beyond to get my phone back to me. Overall great hotel.

The service in the dining area was not good. Three orders and they forgot to cook one of them. Then we had to chase down the waiter to get our bill. One of the mornings the hotel had no hot water. We were told it was just a matter of changing a cartridge!

I usually like Hilton Family Hotels. THIS one, the front desk clerk at check in, very unhelpful, probably because she didn't speak english. Couldn't be bothered to log in my Hilton Honors number. Check in was also inconvenient because hidden side entry. With cars parked in front of the door, for long periods, nobody around, just cars. Breakfast was staffed with wait staff that didn't give a crap about anything. Took nearly an hour to get a bowl of fruit and two cups of coffee. And they tried to charge me the full buffet $16. Plus when I asked for the check, they disappeared, then a few minutes later came back to every table but mine, then disappeared again. Won't stay there again. On a brighter note, the morning check out lady, spoke english. And she got my Hilton Honors entered, and was very nice and helpful. Everything was fine except the other employees.

I checked in around 3:30 but the room was not yet ready; I didn’t check into my room until almost 4 pm. I will also mention (that for training and safety purposes) that I was a taken aback. The lady who was checking me into the hotel mentioned that my room was not ready and when I asked for an estimated time for it to be ready, she called to the cleaning staff. I was uncomfortable because the lobby area is small and when she called for the room to be ready, she mentioned my room number several times (asking if Room 207 was ready). As a solo woman traveler, and for safety, it should not have been broadcasted that I was staying in a specific room. I hope that different protocols can be placed so that other travelers aren’t aware of where hotel guests are staying. When I did heck into the room, the room was clean, but it took almost 10 mins for the hot water to turn from cool to hot in the shower. Other than that, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

I was in town for a funeral and arrived earlier than expected. My call to the hotel was answered by Demetri, who was extremely professional and helpful. He allowed us to check in early without any problem. He was very friendly when we arrived. Great employee! Thank you Demetri for easing our worries on such a sad occasion.

All I can say is that the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington/Courthouse Plaza is wonderful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay. The staff are great. Big shout out to Nicole from the lobby front desk. She was kind and courteous. The fact that the metro station is about 1 block away and many good restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel are definite pluses. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel.

Only a 4 minute walk from the D.C. metro station, making it very easy to see all the sights at our Nations Capitol, but then being able to quickly return to a very nice neighborhood in Arlington, VA where there were a lot of dining options. Very safe and very comfortable

The service in the dining area was not good. Three orders and they forgot to cook one of them. Then we had to chase down the waiter to get our bill. One of the mornings the hotel had no hot water. We were told it was just a matter of changing a cartridge!

Wish there was an option for free breakfast, or that there were more options included in the $19 buffet options. They did have other options avail to order but the buffet was limited and for $19, it'd be nicer to have better/more options.

I usually like Hilton Family Hotels. THIS one, the front desk clerk at check in, very unhelpful, probably because she didn't speak english. Couldn't be bothered to log in my Hilton Honors number. Check in was also inconvenient because hidden side entry. With cars parked in front of the door, for long periods, nobody around, just cars. Breakfast was staffed with wait staff that didn't give a crap about anything. Took nearly an hour to get a bowl of fruit and two cups of coffee. And they tried to charge me the full buffet $16. The Hilton Garden Arlington is quite a nice hotel in a very good area. The underground parking was a tad tricky to navigate. The onsite restaurant, although good, could offer more selections and not end service at 9:00 p.m.!!

The location and front desk staff both are amazing,but was really frustrated with room cleaning service,they never showed up to clean the room on their designated day even though we called multiple times and waited outside for them to come and clean,the morning breakfast was also very basic with very limited offerings for hotel of this standard,the shower water was barely coming out and it was a struggle to take shower.
