Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Arlington Crystal City DCA

Liked the breakfast. Liked the gym. Liked the proximity to DC. Did not like $42 dollar per day parking charges. Liked the Bluetooth room key ability. Did not like that only one elevator worked.

From arriving to the airport and calling Hampton Inn for a shuttle, the experience was amazing. The driver was safe both to and from when checking in and out. Check-in was a breeze and I was able to do so through the app and select my room. Considering I stayed for 5 nights, the staff moved me to another room, due to the noise of the elevator dings which was very considerate! I greatly appreciated that! The window view facing the front busy street of both Hampton and the Hilton next door was breathtaking! Breakfast every morning was always full (early bird gets the worm) and a great variety of items to choose from. My encounter with all staff members was top-notch. The room was clean and perfect. The TV displaying my name as a welcome feature was very personable and fun! Never any issues with fresh towels and light clean-up done once (at my request, as most nights we left the DND sign up) while we were there. The comfort of the beds and fresh linens was perfect. The ability to sleep with one window shade down and still see the night sky/buildings lite up was so perfect! I will definitely be staying here again when we return in the spring!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn. While we were there the elevator was under maintenance so there were back ups when waiting especially in the morning. But by the end of our stay both were working. Breakfast was good, coffee could use work. The eggs were always fresh, if they had French toast sticks they would be hard. Cereal was always good and they had oatmeal each morning. You could make your own waffles and there was always two pastry’s. But the coffee needed help, they only offered Light Roast and it was bad. I am a medium/dark drinker so that could be the issue too. Our room was excellent. We had a 1 bedroom that had a living area with small pull out couch, lots of room with a bar area that had microwave, fridge, coffee maker and sink. We had lots of room. My only complaint with the room is the bathroom. The sink is open to the room and then the door to the toilet/shower was so awkward. The light for the toilet/shower was on the outside of the room and the door opened into the toilet/shower (barely clearing the toilet). So if you needed to use the toilet in the middle of the night the bright light illuminated the entire room while you were squeezing your way into the toilet/shower. Honestly the doorway could have been completely changed to close in the entire area. This is my only complaint about the room. We never heard airplanes despite being so close to the airport, we felt safe and were about a block away from a CVS. We were close to the Metro.

Not happy with the parking fees. It cost as much to park, for my 2 day visit, as it did to rent the room. I should've just rented the parking stall, and slept in the car. The cost was practically the same. $20 for hotel customers, is more than enough, $45 is ridiculous!

All was great except the malfunction of elevator. We had to climb to 9th floor using the stairs. Strongly recommend renovating the elevator.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Reagan National Airport. A short shuttle drive over and we were checked in immediately. Our room was adequate though there were a few things that didn't work (the automatic blinds, handicap shower allowed water to go all over bathroom). Only one elevator working which was not ideal with the number of guests staying at the hotel. Son utilized fitness center which he says was very good. Overall, we can recommend staying here for convenience to airport and Metro into downtown DC.

The hotel has more than 5 floors and two elevators. During our stay, one of the elevators was out of service. The housekeeping staff and all the guests were using ONE ELEVATOR!!! So you can imagine the wait during breakfast time and checkout time. We nearly missed our flight because we waited for over 20 minutes on our floor for the elevator to checkout and go to the airport. Every time the elevator would stop on our floor it was completely full, and we could could not fit in with our luggage. Unacceptable!!!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Hampton Inn. Upon checking in on Thursday, July 10th, I was told that only one elevator was servicing the entire property because the second elevator was closed for repairs. This meant that all the guests staying at the property would be relying on one elevator for our entire stay. This was concerning to me because my wife is undergoing physical therapy for her right knee and not able to walk great distances. Stairs are particularly challenging for her. Despite voicing my concern, we were placed on the 9th floor and assured that the one elevator would be able to accommodate all guests. Throughout our stay, we regularly had to wait for periods of up to fifteen minutes for an elevator. The worst was on Saturday, July 12th. We returned to the hotel to find out that both elevators were down indefinitely. My wife had no choice but to walk up nine flights of stairs to reach our hotel room. This caused a great deal of discomfort for my wife, and we were once again startled by the lack of concern shown by the staff at the Hampton Inn. I am not a particularly demanding consumer, but I was extremely disappointed by my stay at the Hampton Inn. There was little regard shown for guests, and my wife endured physical discomfort as a result. I would appreciate you refunding at least a portion of our stay accordingly.

The bed and pillows were cozy, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The breakfast was also really good with a nice variety of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the DC area!

The staff are kind, courteous and Always helpful. Rooms were clean, very spacious. Restaurants within walking distance. Good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a quick walk to the metro! The free airport shuttle was also wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!

The Hampton Inn is in an excellent location with easy access to the metro. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good with nice variety. The room itself was extremely dark with inadequate lighting to accomplish any work. The room a also had a very strong mildew smell and my allergies were triggered staying there. The carpet was very worn and my socks were dirty after walking on it. The parking at the hotel was very expensive but I was able to get off site parking nearby for 1/4 the cost. Overall, I will stay somewhere else next time.

Great staff. Quiet room. Fantastic shower.

I got up early to take a shower in the morning before I flew back home. And when I was taking a shower someone's hair, dirt, feces and debris starting flowing up from my bathtub drain. I had to contact room services and I never ended up getting a shower or my morning breakfast due to the situation. I expect someone to contact me regarding being this incident as it was unacceptable to have occured for me.

There's 2 elevators...One elevator was out of service and the 2nd one broke down 2 days later. I was surprised to find stains on the pillowcase and strands of hair on the floor and in the bed under the covers. Nice neighborhood, close to the train. Give yourself an extra 15-20mins to wait on the shuttle to and from the airport.

Hampton Inn & Suites is on the top of my go to hotels because of efficiency from cleanliness to breakfast options - always a great choice! Two comments I have in this particular property are: 1) bathroom door — opening and getting in is a little challenging because the door is in very close proximity to the toilet bowl and the shower sliding door, there is not a lot of room getting in without being extra careful. Room was a one-bedroom suite. 2) trash can — only one small trash can in the living room which has a divider for regular trash and recycle which is not big enough if you plan to eat inside the room even for one night.

Good sized, spacious suite. Beds were nice and location was great. Helpful staff, too. One elevator wasn’t working so there were longer waits for elevator rides, and some over-crowding. My coffee maker in the room didn’t work.

loved the decent size tvs in the room, however tried to use a steaming device on a tv and couldn’t get the wifi to allow me to log in. frustrating on a football Sunday

Amazing and comfortable for a family of 4 in king suite. The small kitchenette came in handy for baby milk prep. Would visit again.

The beds were hard, the rooms were dark and our bathroom had the faint smell of sulfur. But, every staff person that I interacted with was very friendly and gave great customer service.

The bathroom was poorly designed with no place to hang towels and the water pressure in the shower was very weak. The room was clean though.

The studio room was very nice, the staff very helpful, and convenient access to the airport and the metro. The only negative was noise from the nearby streets and construction projects.

Non-standard check in time…. 4pm. Arrived early around 2pm, had 4pm tour booked, the front desk said 1 of our rooms would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Since they weren’t ready, we asked about a local recommendation for a BURGER place to eat. The girl at the front desk recommended McDonald’s or Chik-Fil-A. It was only after a male staff (maintenance guy?) Came out and recommended Z-Burger that we had a place to go. When we returned, we could check in to 1 of them, but we were refused to check into the other because the duvet cover was not yet ready. We said it’s fine, they could bring it up and change it, but were told it’s against policy. We just wanted to drop off our luggage and be able to freshen up, and were refused. We did finally get the other room right before the tour guide got there. The next issue was constant pot smoke in the halls and elevators. The breakfast was 6:00-9:30 which was reasonable, except once Saturday hit, there was no place to sit and the food was not being brought out once it hit 9:15. Usually places serve a little later on the weekends. This Hampton did not. We had 2 suites, the bathrooms had inward swinging doors that basically require you to open and step in the shower in order to get in and out of the bathroom because there is no space. The rooms themselves were nice, but, and this is a big problem. No room service. They only proved “every four days” per front desk. Conveniently the amount of time we were staying. It was pretty awful.

I stay at Hampton as it always is a great stay at a reasonable price. Staff went above and beyond to help my 88 yr old father this trip. Providing shower chair, kitchen staff offering to get him food so he didn't need to stand in line, and most significantly - when both elevators were suddenly out of order at checkout he was on the 8th floor and couldn't use the stairs. Staff volunteered to call Fire Rescue to get him to the lobby safely (no cost). They went out of their way to make things right when the unexpected occurred.

Expedia canceled my reservation with this hotel. Probably by accident. I was devastated but the staffs were helpful and they manage to the problem and find a way to let me stay in the hotel. I cannot thank them more. I will not use Expedia again, but I want to use this hotel again.

The customer service from everyone was exceptional. We had a great experience

8 days prior to scheduled check in date, my travel plans for work changed so I attempted to move my reservation out a few weeks. Spent several hours over the course of two days on the phone with the staff to get my reservation changed to the end of August. They said it was all set for the new date in August. They never changed the dates and charged my card anyway. Terrible customer service, bad business, two thumbs down.

It took 45 minutes for the van to pick me up at the airport. Called twice and was told the van would be there in a few minutes. Was delayed with no explanation

Good property. Breakfast was decent. Most of the front desk staff was vwry helpful especially genet who helped me charge my phone as i had forgotten my charging cable. Adnan and Genet were vwry friendly.

We stayed at the Hampton inn 6/19-6/22/25. On our last day both elevators ended up out of service. Normally I would wrote a bad review of 3 or less stars for such an experience, however this review is 5 out of 5 stars. My disabled father was on the 8th floor and couldn’t walk down the stairs. The front desk provided outstanding service The called for the Fire and Ambulance service to bring him safely down the stairs in a “stair chair” with no charge, no hassle. They made up for the elevator problem with the most outstanding service I have experienced in a very long time! Thank you Hampton Inn for your professionalism and dedication to customer service!

During check-in, I was very disappointed with the front desk staff who noticed me waiting to check-in but didn't acknowledge. He was basically ignoring my presence and tapping on his computer keyboard. The other front desk personnel(who was ending her shift) ended up assisting me with excellent customer service. I would NOT recommend any friends or family to the Hampton Inn Crystal City or any Hilton brand hotels due to the way their policy handles last minute emergencies and early check-out. I had to checkout on Sunday although my reservation was booked until Wednesday. Hampton Inn & Suites Crystal City continued to keep me checked into the hotel to avoid refunding the remaining nights. I have been a Hilton Honors member for over a decade and never have I realized the financial burden the Hilton brand has. To keep a guest listed on the property after checkout just to avoid issuing a refund is a show of desperate finance need. This Hampton Inn & Suites in Crystal City has ruined all trust I have in the Hilton brand Hotels. My reservation was booked by a friend as a gift. I've expressed this situation multiple times to the front desk and Hilton's customer service. I was also recognized as a Hilton Honors member when I checked in. As a member, there are NO FEES for early checkout.

Needed a place to crash for the night after flight got cancelled. This place was perfect. A big plus was the always acceptable Hampton Inn breakfast to fill up with before an early flight.

Big, clean room, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast (included), friendly service, free shuttle to/from the airport, and a 5 minute walk from the metro. Will definitely stay here again. Perfect!

Great location and close to metro.

Good location near DC, dining options within walking distance, close to the metro. Nothing fancy but a good hotel to stay. Underground parking without valet service is a huge plus for me.

Terrific location! Helpful and thoughtful staff. So close to Metro and other public transportation. The only improvement would be the quality of the breakfast. Hot foods were lukewarm. Flimsy plastic cups for juice. Fresh fruit was available - terrific! - but bruised.

Location was very convenient for us. Five minutes from the airport five minutes from Pentagon mall and walkable to a bunch of restaurants

Great location! We could easily walk to the Crystal City metro and go anywhere. Lots of construction in the area, but still quiet. Not happy with prices in the convenience snack area. $4 for a bottle soda. We just walked to 7Eleven and bought for 1/2 that. Would definitely stay at this location again! And, you get Hilton points!

Great location for visiting DC

Stayed 4 nights here. Our room was well appointed, clean, house keeping was on demand. The Hilton next door offered food and cocktails. Of course Hampton does daily breakfast. There is a shuttle to airport.

I picked a Hampton Inn because the breakfasts are always good and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast at this hotel was so crowded that you had to stand in long lines to get any food, and there was not enough seating. The breakfast staff worked hard to keep up and were pleasant — the hotel just had too many people for the breakfast area. Also, alarms went off and people had to vacate the building — but no alarms were audible in our room. If there was an actual emergency, we never would have known. My husband was downstairs at the time and asked why my son and I never left the room. The setup for the suite was awkward when sharing with son sleeping on the couch.

The breakfast was great. Staff was helpful but only one person was available at the front desk, and you had to wait too long sometimes to get attention. Also, the last day there was this machine sound - like a buzz saw type of sound - that came up intermittently near my room - but I don't know what it was. - Monica and Carl Varner

Check-in was easy and quick at the front desk. Staff was great. Parking is convenient. It is pay per night in the parking garage attached to the hotel. During my stay, there was only 1 elevator working. The hotel staff had notices displayed and let us know during check-in. Breakfast was great. A lot more variety than you find at other hotels. The room was clean, stocked with all the essentials. AC worked. The TV was giving me some issues with the channels being not available.

Was a lovely hotel, recently renovated and the staff was wonderful. The metro isn’t far and plenty of bus stops. Never felt limited in where I could go. The breakfast was great as well, had a new course every day during our stay.

Loved the staff. The TV service offered was kind of weak overall, in our opinion. The breakfast was decent, give that it was free, but I've had better free breakfasts, including at other Hamptons. Great location, and we'd stay there again.
