This was a lovely place for a Boston getaway. It was clean, very comfortable, and great service from the staff. No breakfast, but excellent coffee available right downstairs. Plenty of dining and shopping options just a short walk down Newbury street.

Perfect location and quant hotel. We really enjoyed the water, tea, coffee, espresso, and cappuccino available 24 hours a day included with our stay. I’ve seen complaints of the rooms being too small. For a city hotel, I found the room suitable and cozy. Staff was always friendly and greeted us every time we entered. The only downside was the elevator smelled like sewer. The restaurant and wine bar on site were lovely, along with other restaurants just steps away. Close to the subway station. I would definitely stay here again!

The NEWBURY Guest House offers friendly and efficient customer service, comfortable rooms with nice amenities and is located close to multiple transportation, dining and shopping options. It is a great value! One important caveat is that the elevator was out of service during my stay and while helpful staff were available to carry bags, mobility challenged guests might have difficulty navigating the stairs.

It was lovely. It was like we were in our own little oasis in the middle of the city. The location was perfect for walking anywhere we wanted to go. Lots of shops, restaurants, and sights to see nearby. From the front staff to maintenance and cleaning crew, the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. On-site parking was tight but so convenient. The room was clean and offered plenty of seating, a lovely fireplace, and amazing view. We’ll definitely stay again!

Loved the property and the staff were all very nice. I wish we could have stayed longer. Parking is limited, but if you can get a spot it is an incredible deal and very convenient. They also have an EV charger (that isn't advertised and may take some work to get to. The rooms are nice and quiet. It's in an ideal area with shops and restaurants all around, plus close enough you can walk around to most other areas of Boston. The water and espresso machines in the lobby were nice touches also.

We were on the 4th floor and on our first day the elevator broke. I have heart and other conditions and was very hard for me to make it up the stairs. The staff did not seem to care nor did they always offer to carry guests bags in order to help them. The elevator and surrounding area had a terrible old trash smell that everyone complained about but they did nothing to fix. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was incredible, very friendly and accommodating. Our room was fine, bed was more comfortable than most. I am rating it a three for two main reasons: our room was VERY WARM, we had the thermostat set to 62 or off the whole time and our room didn’t go below 70 the entire time but felt much warmer like upper 70s. It was hard to sleep for us as we like a cold room. The second reason is just bad luck but the elevator was broken. We stayed four days and it was not repaired. The staff offered to help with our bags but taking the stairs to the fourth floor multiple times a day was not only tiring but very claustrophobic as the stairs are windy and very small and lopsided. Literally lopsided you can see them slanting, which is comical but would’ve been nice to at least have the option of taking the elevator. For that reason I would also not recommend to the elderly or not able-bodied.

We loved the location if the hotel. Lots of restaurants & shops within walking distance. Our room was comfortable although the furnishings definitely showed their age. The staff was friendly & helpful but somewhat disorganized. The parking situation was challenging. Overall a nice stay

My husband and I were visiting Boston to attend Red Sox game and explore the city. We wanted to be able to walk to Fenway Park. We loved the location of the hotel! Walkable to the game but also an easier walk to many dining options and shopping area. We walked to Boston Common and Prudential Tower. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, even had an umbrella available to use on the one rainy day we had while there!

Perfect location! The hotel is quiet and the front desk were very warm and helpful. Our room was a great size and the bed was comfortable. Best of all we could walk everywhere or get to the T if we wanted. Although our room faces the street it was quite at night.

Very noisy room with elevator, causing the floor joist to pop and move all day, all night and all morning. Every time somebody got in the elevator, it sounds like somebody is knocking on our door. Drive us Nuts.

The room I requested a month ago wasn’t able and it’s ok but I had to request to change room because AC isn’t working. My first night is terrible only because of the room temperature. I’ve spoke to the receptionist next morning and Mirabella made sure my next nights will be comfortable. Alex and Mirabella are both awesome. The stay is 10/10. I can’t wait to book with them again.

In the perfect location on Newbury Street right in the heart of Boston is the Newbury Guest House. The building is a characterful old townhouse with wonky, uneven stairs and a lovely welcoming feel. The reception area is bright, nicely decorated and furnished and the reception staff are friendly and helpful ..... particularly Alex who was the most smiley, lovely guy who couldn't do enough for you. There is freshly brewed coffee and tea available 24 hours a day in reception along with chilled and sparkling water. Our room was a bay window king and it was light, bright and spacious. The bathroom appeared to have been fairly recently refurbished and was nicely presented. We had a view of Newbury Street and the restaurants below us were lively but not too noisy ..... apart from the afternoon and evening when the Mariachi Band was playing .... they were rather loud but great fun and people were dancing in the street below our window! We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly return.

Very cute and cozy hotel, clean and super friendly staff. Walkable to all shoppings and restaurants, Very convenient location. But the room heating wasn't working properly so spent very cold night and also the shower stall was too small.

Excellent location, beautiful building inside and out. Staff was absolutely amazing, every one truly seemed genuine, friendly and committed to helping their guests have an amazing time. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Newbury Guest house. Staff were very friendly upon check in and our bay window room was lovely, very spacious, warm and spacious. Everything was very clean. The coffee and water facilities in the reception area were very much appreciated. The staff kindly accomodated a late check out, which was super appreciates. We would definitely stay here again!

Newbury Guest House is in a great location, with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Our initial room had an issue with the door not locking, but the front desk took care of us and upgraded us to a better room. There are lots of great shopping and dining options right out the front door.

A wonderful night’s stay. Sadly it was only for one night, but the guesthouse itself and the location was fantastic. Every single member of staff we dealt with were so friendly and helpful, a real asset to the whole experience. Will definitely return and will recommend Newbury Guesthouse as a great option.

The service and the staff were excellent and the property is in a great location for touring Boston. The room we had was nice and had everything we needed. A coffee pot in the room would have been good but there was free coffee in the lobby. I would definitely consider staying at the Newbury Guest House again.

Everything was a great experience! Alex the staff was very polite, straight to the point, and quick. Made checking in very easy.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of Newbury Street. One can walk everywhere. And the T Station is 5 min walk for those places a bit farther away. Rooms are clean and well-appointed. Small refrigerator in room. Shower and bathroom spotless. Lobby has hot/cold/sparkling water machine and an automatic coffee machine for espresso drinks and tea. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in a wonderful area of Boston. If you want to be close to The Freedom Trail, Boston Commons, and The Esplanade, this hotel is perfect.

My husband and I were visiting Boston to attend Red Sox game and explore the city. We wanted to be able to walk to Fenway Park. We loved the location of the hotel! Walkable to the game but also an easier walk to many dining options and shopping area. We walked to Boston Common and Prudential Tower. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, even had an umbrella available to use on the one rainy day we had while there!

Location is everything! Newbury street has so much going on! And it’s easily accessible to the rest of the city. The hotel itself is lovely! Our room was wonderful. And the restaurant attached to the lobby was such a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely place for a Boston getaway. It was clean, very comfortable, and great service from the staff. No breakfast, but excellent coffee available right downstairs. Plenty of dining and shopping options just a short walk down Newbury street.

My friend and I had a great time staying at NGH. The staff and service accommodated all our needs so we could enjoy our day out as well as our time at the hotel. We loved the 1855 wine bar connected to the lobby. We were able to enjoy multiple shops, bars, and restaurants within 11 minutes of walking. I will definitely be booking again!

Convenient for Copley plaza and a 15 minute walk to the Common it is well positioned. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Bathrooms have been updated and the whole place is very clean. 2 restaurants for lunch and dinner on site, but you have to go out for breakfast

The hotel is well-situated on Newbury Street with easy access to galleries, cafes, restaurants, shops, Boston Common and Public Garden, interesting residential streets, Boston Public Library, and Amtrak. The hotel restaurant La Voile was excellent, with a varied French menu and indoor and outdoor dining -- great for people-watching! The staff (hotel and restaurant) was very friendly and helpful, offering us a map and directions for key spots of interest to visit in the environs. It would have been helpful to have more bath linens than the standard ones for 2 people.

This was a lovely property, we just happened to stumble upon. Lucky we did the staff was wonderful, the rooms were comfortable and what a view. While they don't offer dining services they do have coffee / tea / hot chocolate 24-7 and a microwave that you can use. There are tons of close resturants. Highly recommend Salty Girl down the street.

We really loved our stay at Newbury Guest House. The location is excellent for exploring the back bay and Newbury Street. Both restaurants were excellent as well, but there are dozens more just a short walk away if French isn't your thing.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in quite some time! Beautiful and quiet property in the middle of Back Bay. Super clean and comfortable rooms, bigger than I would have expected! Coffee and sparkling water in the spacious lobby and two on-site restaurants with great bars if you’d rather stay in. We’re definitely coming back!

What a gem this place was. My daughter and I enjoyed the great location, with proximity to Fenway Park, the Boston Public Garden, and the Boston Marathon finish line. There were also so many different restaurants, ice cream spots, and stores in walking distance. The staff was great and the coffee in the lobby was a fabulous perk. Would definitely stay here again!!!

We only stayed one night at the Newbury Guest House, but it was lovely! Parking was easy in the dedicated parking area in the alley and much more reasonably priced than parking at other hotels in the area. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the amenities were perfect. The complimentary water dispenser and coffee machine were greatly appreciated (loved different options of water as well as my morning latte!). It is a perfect location for a quick stay in Boston - right on Newbury with all the cute shops and restaurants, right near the beautiful homes to walk by and tree lined streets as well as the river. We walked all over and never had to move our car. Highly recommend staying here while in Boston!

The Staff was extremely helpful, and the property was clean and convenient to the Hynes Convention Center. Provided parking was a life saver with plenty of shops and restaurants in the area.

The photos of the rooms in this "guest house" were very deceiving. I thought we would have a room with bay windows, a fireplace, charming furnishings, as pictured. But, what we got was a generic hotel box with a tiny window and a very tiny bathroom. The name is also deceiving as it wasn't guest house-like at all. It looked like any other bland hotel room in any chain hotel. With no bar, workout room, pool or breakfast, the price of this room was outrageous. At checkout when I spoke to the front desk, they assured me a manager would get back to me because of my disappointment in the accommodations. Was never contacted.
