Lines when checking in. Self parking was not explained. Sign in garage had lettering in color dark red, and was not seen quick enough to direct to proper floor to park Lobby and outside room not air conditioned properly. Hot day, and it was warm inside.

This was a beautiful hotel, in a great location, at a great price. The only negative is the worst garage that I have ever been in. Incredibly tight turns and somewhat confusing signage. As they told me at the hotel, they don't own or run it so it is what it is!

This property is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Also, I believe I requested an ADA room for our stay and that was not available. Inconveniences: No microwave in room, no access to an area that provides this (if it was available on site there was no signage). Property is under construction. Main Hotel entry is burdened by traffic jams at front entrance. NOT ADA FRIENDLY OR CONVENIENT due to this factor. There is a ramp entrance [ramp signage is for luggage]. If we knew this would be a challenge, we would have booked elsewhere. The saving grace for our 3 day stay was our excellent interactions with valet staff Mr. Dawit. He was extremely kind and excellent in hospitality!

Please upgrade this property by adding a bar, a spa with steam, sauna, jacuzzi, and pool. This property is not kid friendly. This Hyatt hasn't money on the property and feels like a hotel with only rooms. It falls very short of the competing hotels in the area such as the Marriott.

Great property but: water temperature starts hot but quickly went to lukewarm; no ability to open the sheer curtains or fully close blackout curtains; ample parking, but lot is a challenge to navigate. Staff is excellent and rooms are immaculate.

The doorman, receptionist and housekeeping staff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful. This hotel has limited dining resources, no shop or pool, and ongoing construction surrounding the hotel—but it’s comfortable, clean and the staff is great!

Fantastic location, next to metro station. Lots of food places around, very safe. Gym is spacious and well equipped. Staff is helpful but front desk isn’t friendly. Rarely smell or acknowledge the guests. Breakfast isn’t popular, probably too pricey and too many options around. The room on West side May be a tad noisy due to construction.

I had a very pleasant stay. The property is really clean and quiet. My room was very spacious and well furnished. There was plenty of lighting and there were many small but functional details that made my stay easy. The valley service and the self-parking options were appropriately priced. The rooms service was to my satisfaction. I recommend this Hyatt Regency Bethesda location!

Bathtub was dirty, and housekeeping was not available to clean it. I had to put on my clothes pack up my belongings after being informed front desk re-located me to another room. That bathtub was also dirty. I took the liberty to wash in the bathroom sink.

The hotel was average at best. We had a toilet that stopped up and the man who unclogged it left tissues and dirty toilet water on the floor. Our comforter was dirty and since housekeeping was gone they gave us sheets to make up our own bed. We eventually asked to be moved to another room. That room had spiders in the bathroom. We told them our stay was not good when we checked out and the only response was “okay.”

The location is very convenient to public transportation and it is very walkable to many restaurants. The hotel decor and rooms are pretty vanilla, but the bed was very comfortable and we had a room with a balcony which had nice views. The property is quiet and we enjoyed a special birthday dinner at Morton's Steakhouse which is located in the hotel. The person at the front desk when we checked in was not very welcoming or friendly. However, the next two days the front desk staff was friendlier. The bellmen out front were both very friendly and helpful. The location is what makes this hotel worth the stay.

Wi-Fi was not secure. The hotel offered no written instruction about access to Wi-Fi. I inquired via MS Windows; it listed a half dozen Hyatt Wi-Fi, some secure, some not secure. I tried the secure ones, but they required secret passcodes such as your code for a large meeting. I asked the front desk, and was told to use Hyatt-Wi-Fi but Windows said it was not secure.

This place is directly next to the Metro station which was GREAT! The staff was exceptional and property was clean. The only 3 things that were an inconvenience was that 1. The automatic blinds kept getting stuck when opening and closing and would not completely close in the middle therefore light was let in, in the mornings.2. The Wi-Fi went out and on one of the days it was okay because we were gone for most of the day but on the second day we were in the hotel for the most part and had to have maintenance fix it in order to watch tv 3. A small microphone would have been convenient. Overall, I would stay here again simply for it's location and proximity to public transportation.

Property is nice and well located. Lots of shopping and restaurants within short walking distance. Great exercise path close by (Capital Crescent Trail). Only complaint was that the closet was oddly designed. Hanging bar was 4 ft from the floor with a a shelf and safe underneath so only 2 ft of hanging space. No room for a suit

My room was quite small. It felt like a typical small European hotel with small rooms. I heard everything happening in an adjacent room. The shower pressure was not great. There was no coffeemaker. The hotel felt like it was built a long time ago and is now tired. The lighting was not great. The HVAC kept going on and off loudly every 40 minutes or so all night. Overall, I expected better given the brand name.

Modern hotel convenient to downtown Bethesda and the Metro. The room was comfortable with one big exception. The heating and air conditioner sounded like an airplane taking off, with the system cycling on and off very loudly. We had to turn it off to sleep.

Do not get the cheapest room, it's a weird shape and AC is directly over the bed. Makes it either too cold when is on or too hot during the summer.

Because of the open atrium design, there is always ambient noise echoing that can be heard in ones room. Also, due to it's age the plumbing can be heard from the upper floors (not well insulated). Otherwise the hotel is well situated and clean.

Bizarre encounter with front desk when I requested late check-out to complete an on-line meeting in my room. The front desk was not friendly or helpful. I was shocked to be told that not even an extra hour was possible, even when I offered to pay. Strange. I returned to "normal" with the bright, personable person who helped when I checked out (on time - no extension granted) and needed to store a suitcase.

Large,.clean and well appointed room. Excellent location, right above Bethesda station. However, if you want to go sightseeing DC, keep in mind that the subway might be under renovation and you would need a taxi or uber. Staff are nice, but customer service.is horrible. I would like to know if I could send parcels to the hotel and they simply have not answered. I tried different channels several time (hotels.com, social media), but people simply refused to answer my doubts.

I would like to know if I could send parcels to the hotel and they simply have not answered. I tried different channels several time (hotels.com, social media), but people simply refused to answer my doubts.

I called 4 hours prior to getting to the hotel Told them I would be 10 mins late to the check in a hotel employee by the name of Anne told me she would put in a note for me to let them know I was arriving late and when I arrived my booking was marked as a no show an a employee by the name of Marianne told me the money wasn’t charged when I showed her all the statements and receipts she refused to help me and kicked me out when I offered to buy another room if it was available she said she wouldn’t serve me an she proceeded to call the cops now I am left without a place to stay tonight and my money was taken out of my account please get back to me I need this issue resolved immediately

False Alarm - literally deafening FIRE alarm went off around 8:00am on a Saturday morning, 4/5/25. Terrifying! Told to take the stairs, not the elevator, and couldn't find the emergency exit on the 10th floor! When I checked out, the front desk staff shrugged it off as if it was no big deal, saying since I pre-paid through a third-party (Expedia) it was not their problem. I want a refund!

Several issues: 1. I had to have the key to my room re-keyed everytime I left and came back to the hotel. 2. I was getting undressed and my room door opens and there was a family of 4 standing in my doorway. The front desk gave them key to my room after I had checked in hours earlier on Christmas day...HUGE SECURITY ISSUE...they offered to credit me back 1 night of the 2 for the inconvenience. Haven't recieved it as yet... 3. I turn down the bed only to find make-up and lipstick on the pillow cases. Staff was pleasant and so was I considering...I read the reviews before and thought they couldn't be that bad...they were. I come to the area every month and usually stay at another hotel near by...I should have gone with old reliable instead of the Hyatt. Extremely disappointing and I will never stay there again. Huge mistake. Stay somewhere else, there are several options near by.

Clean facilities, great staff down to the garage attendant, who isn't affiliated with the hotel. Only minutes away from multiple eateries ranging from affordable to upscale. Steps away from the metro, so extremely convenient to downtown Washington, D.C to visit the mall and museums since driving and parking there can be a nightmare. The rooms and facility were clean putting my mind at ease that I forgot my cleaning supplies I instinctively use to wipe down/sanitize everything. Check-in was fast and easy. The only issue was exiting the garage where we had a mishap paying. However, the parking attendant was so helpful and quickly addressed that matter within minutes even giving us a cup of coffee while he resolved it.

Very nice, clean, safe, upscale, comfortable hotel. We chose this hotel based on proximity to the metro station, as we were there to visit the sights in DC. It is super convenient and only a 15-20 minute metro ride to the heart of DC. Would definitely stay here again.

Morton’s restaurant I visited on the night of 10th June as I came in the door I was met with an overwhelming smell that permeated the whole restaurant it smelled like sewage but not as bad but the smell was unpleasant but the longer u stayed the smell got better but still not pleasant. I understand the hotel is under construction perhaps something was disrupted that led to over powering smell. Also the restaurant ac cooling was too low I ended up taking my food to the room because it was far too cold and uncomfortable for me to eat in the restaurant. Finally I have stayed at this hotel for years but was back after. 3 years for the price the hotels common areas look run down and need to be dated given the price of the rooms

I didn't like the Starbucks option for breakfast. I was expecting to have a more upscale dining experience offered. I was also disappointed that there was no room service for food. It was raining hard during our stay; I am a senior and couldn't walk to the nearby restaurants. The only option was to go to the onsite restaurant, which was good, but very expensive.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and convenient. It has a Starbucks and Morton’s in the lobby. Only minutes away from restaurants outside . But the housekeeper forgot to make up the room.

This hotel is beautiful. We got there around 3pm, they allowed us to check in early. We have a Ford Expedition that would not fit in the garage/ It was 50.00 to keep it outside in the circle (valet) until we left. My only issue the sandwich place closes at 2pm. And Starbucks is not really peanut free. I wish the sandwich place was open later is my only issue

Room is very clean. The parking ticket not working for in/out and we have to call front test to exit at the gate. Could hear sounds of a couple next door at 3:00 am and at 10:00 am being loud, you know what I mean, which is gross. The wall is paper thin and sound proof non existent. Other than that, everything is pretty good. It is very close to the Bethesda row and have beautiful places for you to explore.

I picked this hotel for location and ease of getting back-and-forth to NIH. My biggest complaint is a seven minute drive down into a parking garage that was maze of left and right turns and narrow spaces and very frustrating.. getting luggage to the room from a ballroom up an elevator, and then up to another floor to another elevator with no cart was also no fun. I would not stay at this hotel again.
