Studio 6-Denton, TX - UNT

The wifi doesnt reach my room but other then that great

Made reservations for our non smoking room w/a note for a bottom floor room since I have a handicapped daughter who struggles w/stairs. We were not given a bottom floor room, NONE of the ice makers worked, NO eating utensils or pots and pans but there were 2 cooking utensils. Tiny TV too. Absolutely zero was done to remedy.

CHECKED IN AND A/C WAS SET ON 30 DEGREES ON ONE UNIT & AND 60 DEGREES ON THE OTHER. COULD NOT CHANGE TEMP ON 30 DEGREE ONE, SO I SHUT IT OFF ROOM WAS FREEZING. TV DID NOT WORK NOR DID HOUSE PHONE. HAD TO MAKE 3-4 TRIPS TO FRONT DESK TO GET ACTION. RESULT: REPAIR GUY WOULD BE IN NEXT DAY AT 8:30AM. HAD NOT SHOWN UP BY 9:45AM , SO I LEFT. WANTED TO TELL HIM ABOUT SINK FAUCET THAT WAS FALLING OFF AND LOOSE TOILET SEAT & BROKEN A/C. TV FIXED SOME TIME LATER THAT DAY. MOTEL 6 IS GOING DOWN HILL, WON'T STAY AT ONE AGAIN.

the room had a coffee maker but no cups for coffer or water, no shampoo in bathroom & spots of a greasy substance on the floor. Internet service was very weak & very slow to load. Guest in room above mine did so much stomping and moving furniture around that I had no peace. The next day I asked to be moved to another room but staff said they could not move me. Though I had the second night paid for in advance, I was forced to move to another motel in order to get some much needed sleep.

This is an old hotel that has been remodeled but it is budget friendly. The coffee pot is ancient and they do not have coffee in the lobby and we never found ice. The room was very clean however there was a strong odor of sewer in the room. The pool was very nice and clean but I never got in it. I have family in Denton and was there to visit. Upon my next stay I will choose a different hotel.

The room had a can of intense smell permanently hanging on from the kitchen cabinet that made me nauseated all night. Pillows were filled with clumps of filler. There were no paper cups in the bathroom sink. The proposed dirty. The flower areas were full of trash. The TV never turn on. The sir conditioner was at 59 degrees and took all night to get it to 72F. I won’t use it again.

Ice machine was not working and employee said it was frozen but it was over 50 degrees

We rented 3 rooms for our group, i guess they are in the process of modernizing. The mattresses in 2 of the rooms were newer, 1 was oh heck no! Big refrigerator. Tiny little TV’s maybe 32in? Pool outside was nasty but had water in it. We booked for the price and proximity to the event we were attending. Toilet vent fan did not work ! That was the worst with 4 people in a room!! Staff were friendly and no issues. If you are on a budget or need a long term place to stay it will work.

Looked totally different than the pictures, WiFi would not work, tv was in Spanish only and no one would help us. They did let us park up front because I felt unsafe. Homeless people walking through the property and hanging out. I will never stay at any Studio 6 ever again! Horrible!

Staff was friendly and courteous. Room was clean as well. The only issues i had was with the wifi and the wall outlets not working.

Booked hotel with Expedia. Pictures looked decent but upon arrival, became leery just due to the outside of the property. Checked in, got room key and once in the room, the smell was very strong for mildew and mold. Looked clean, terrible smell. We went right back to cancel at front desk. Staff gave us a refund for 2nd night we had booked but would not refund current night. did show us another room that had a better smell but not much so we declined and took the loss. Sign said $51.99 but they charged us $70 Has the feel of a low income housing and appears there are many long term tenants. Would not reccommend. Dirty, smelly and did not feel safe.

So when I got there the people around it was very nice and the workers are very nice but when I entered the room it was stink. Also when it was time for bed, one of the beds had a big pee stain. And it also had a smell. Therefore I know for sure they don’t change their sheets. Very unsanitary! I’ll never stay at the hotel again. Studio 6 in Denton Texas!

Roaches everywhere. Do not book. this place is gross. There’s SOOOOO many baby roaches. That place is infested. Not even worth the little money they do charge.

This stay was quite unpleasant for me. Upon arrival I had been assigned to a smoking room despite not having wanted a smoking room. The smell was terrible. When I called the front desk to have my room switched to a non-smoking room, they stated that they could only come spray the room with an air freshener or I could open a window. I found a cockroach in my bathroom area. The toilet seat had weird crusty residue on it. When I pulled back the curtain to open the window, there was no screen so it was just open to the hallway and no sheers to at least provide some privacy beyond the blackout curtains. When I moved the curtain, the wall had a dark redish brown smear (I hope it was chocolate and not blood). The padding on the dining table seat had no padding and a stain on it. The lighting was florescent and very hard to tolerate. I should have realized that this is what the inexpensive cost gets you, but the lack of cleanliness even for a very cheap price was shocking.

Dropped a piece of food on the floor went to get paper towels to clean up and there was 3 tiny roaches on it. Various sizes of roaches. And a dripping water noise all night (couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Sounding like the kitchen sink or refrigerator area) The rooms were remodeled so that was a plus but the amount of paint on the walls and doors caused issues with the doors closing properly.

Room was cleaner than expected but the sink leaked, toilet lid fell off, and front of ac unit fell off. Outside of property looks terrible. Dogs on property barking. Weed smell everywhere. It was fine for a nights sleep but that’s it.

The outside is pretty rundown, but the rooms are really nice.

Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Full kitchenette, full size fridge, small built in stove top. Perfect location. Very friendly.

Stayed for a quick one night stay. Beds are not comfortable you can feel the coils through. Tossed and turned all night. And back hurt the next day, over ok on cleanliness. Just a ok stay if you’re in a pinch and need to pull over to rest.

Quiet. Very busy corner in Denton. There was a Kroger 6 minutes away after a U-turn. Clean room. Full fridge. The place is extended stay.

Train noise was horrible all night long.

For one person it was perfect fully equipped with small kitchen, stove,microwave,full size fridge

Our room was already cold when we came in from the blistering heat. We had a full size refrigerator, a two burner stove, microwave and a kitchen sink. The beds were super comfy and the shower was great. Very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We will stay there again next time we're in that area.

Pretty basic room. We liked the laminated flooring for cleanliness, bedding appeared clean and fresh. Small stovetop, microwave and full-size refrigerator in our rooms. Some street noise from traffic, no shampoo in the rooms. Single night stay.

Room was damp and smelled Of mildew. Air conditioner did not work. Refused a refund and desk clerk would not give name or contact manager. Was told no refund after check in but obviously didn’t know room issues until I checked in. Property was run down and dirty. Will be following up with corporate about refund as we had to find a different hotel. People who checked in before us were given a refund as I ran into Them at the hotel we moved to. Expedia needs to remove this place from their property list!!!!!

To start, I booked 2 non-smoking rooms, and when I arrived, the rooms were not available. I had to sleep in a smoking room. This all happened despite the fact that the motel called me earlier in the day to confirm, and I was able to figure out that they had the wrong smoking status on my reservation and correct it. Then, when I arrived, it was as if the call had never happened. The room was in somewhat poor condition. The microwave did not work, the phone did not work, there was no alarm clock, some trim pieces were missing on the floor.

When I accidentally spilled on the bottom sheet in the PM, went to the desk and requested a replacement, old ones on hand, desk clerk stated that they had NONE on the premises. My husband went in, complained and stated he wanted the manager name and when he would be in the next day, and front desk clerk avoided answering questions regarding owner of the property or manager name; as well as the fact that we would now have to purchase sheets as we would not sleep on soiled sheets or on a bare unsanitary mattress. 5 minutes later I received a call that I could come back to the desk and magically sheets were available. The amenities claimed they had hair dryer in room. None in. Had to request 2 times before provided. No maid service one day, even though it was NOT declined. Roaches in the room. Pool on site but unable to see to bottom so not appropriate to be in even though we planned on using prior to this trip. Numerous other guests downstairs obviously smoking so much marijuana that it made our room stink so bad my husband bought a candle to hep get rid of the stink. The days the maid DID provide service she did a Good job. Wi-Fi service was fair at best. They have a lot of long term residents it appears, living there.

I didn't stay. They cancelled by reservation. I had already made arrangements to have a birthday gathering in my room. It ruined my whole birthday weekend.

I liked the location, very convenient.

The room had a foul odor. Nearby hotel guests were up all night playing loud music and smoking outside in the balcony. I did not feel safe here.

Staff was great, very helpful. Close to fast food and convenience stores. Easy access to freeway.

I was here for DCI at the stadium. Its in the right area, and it is a value stay. My expectations were appropriately set and they were met. No complaints.

Check in was easy, clean property, pillows were not the best but fine for a short stay, walkable to whataburger which is great for late night/early breakfast/dinner.

There are a high number of work men staying at the hotel. Several remained outside smoking and drinking in the narrow walkway between rooms (outside entrances) It was clean and centrally located to the colleges. Just messy outside until you got inside the room.

The hotel is fine. It is in a bad neighborhood and is usually full of hooligans and homeless people. Good luck getting a good nights rest. Never again.

This was a comfortable room with a family atmosphere. Being dog friendly was such a blessing. The location for our visit was great!

Listen it’s not a bad spot to stay at all, the inside of my room was very clean and unlike some other reviews I didn’t see a single bug my whole stay. I do think it’s important to note that the area around the hotel is not the best and there is extremely public shady “businesses” running out of at least two of the rooms near me. I felt safe the entire time and my room was clean, but it’s certainly not a place I’d linger outside for very long at
