I liked everything except the parking garage seems to be a hang out and was a little loud. I wouldn't stay on the second floor again but would stay at this hotel again .

Very well priced and free breakfast and gym. Gym is very basic so if you base your hotel around an amenity like this - you may be disappointed. Avg tread and elitipixal but a few lighter dumbbells can do the trick. Use the AC! Trust me. Brekie is good. Very friendly. Can’t beat the rate

The parking is limited and the lot is small. There were people loitering in the underground garage, i felt unsafe. The hotel was clean and updated. There is a keurig in the room with pods, that is rare. Dove products provided in the shower. Good channels available on the smart tv. Great a/c unit. Room was smaller than others i've stayed in. Great breakfast. New mini fridge. Much cleaner room compared to the hotel in Charlotte i stayed in the previous 2 nights.

Overall a very nice stay for overnight, especially considering it’s 30ish minutes from Baltimore. The hallway smelled of weed upstairs as we walked to our room which was concerning at first but it dissipated quickly and never smelled it again afterwards. The room was very quiet, no smell, clean. Some of our favorite things were as follows: the pillows were as plushy as a cloud, very soft towels, and the triptych mirrors in the restroom were a nice touch. Get a cinnamon roll in the morning. Don’t use the right elevator, the door is temperamental and doesn’t close sometimes unless you give it a kick. The left elevator is quick and responsive. Overall could use a little TLC but had a good stay for what was one night.

The elevator was loud, slow and apparently breaks down a lot, according to several people who were regular guests or staying longer term. The "garage" was sketchy, poorly lit, open to the woods, and frequented by thankfully benign potheads. It felt unsafe. The mandatory $45 charge for incidentals upon checking in is frankly ridiculous; why should you have use of my money even for a few days? The ads are misleading, implying that there's a restaurant on the premises; there isn't. The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear the neighbors' television and conversations all night, even with the fan on for white noise. And something in the cluster of cabinets which holds the TV, microwave and fridge makes a loud clunking, tapping noise every 20 minutes. The Showtime channels were nice, though, and the bed was comfortable.

The worst place to stay. There were bed bugs in the room. We went to let them know that we wanted to get our money back and leave the hotel. The manger said that we were trying to blackmail him. We have pictures of the bed bugs and he didn’t care. There were bugs in the hallway. Definitely would Never recommend that hotel. Disgusting

Our room was super clean and so was the hotel itself. Unfortunately, we were on the 6th floor with many barking dogs and the hallway smelled like a pet kennel. Thank you Expedia. It’s a good question to ask when booking. Stay off the pet floor!

I was exhausted after going through one of those major airport/airline delay-cancellation events at the Baltimore airport and had to rent a car to drive 6 hours home. I desperately needed a hotel. Hotels.com is reliable, so I booked this place, which was reasonably priced. I didn’t have high expectations, but the chain is usually clean, etc. This location was exceptionally clean, friendly, accommodating and had exactly what I needed, which was a quiet, safe, clean and comfortable room. I was so happy. The eco friendly large bottles of Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand wash were perfect, since I had no luggage- thanks to the airline. There is a keurig coffee maker and pods in the room as well. I was able to get food in the lobby and I saw they had room service, but it was pretty late when I arrived. I left early the next morning before breakfast, but the coffee was ready and I was so happy. This location is a gem. It was just what I needed. Don’t hesitate to stay.

My room was spotless, however the fan in the bathroom was running all afternoon and night, no shut off switch, and was extremely loud. My room was on the highway side and very noisy. I would stay again, just would request a room on the other side of the building.

I liked the location, size and quality of the room, and breakfast was just what was needed. For the first time, I had a bad experience with thin walls. On both nights I stayed, the person next door answered telephone calls at 4 am that lasted for about an hour. On the first night I could hear the television next door through most of the night.

Room was very small with a king size bed, no room to put your suitcase without tripping over it. Only 2 hangers in the closet. I've stayed in other IHG hotels in the pass, none had, rooms as small as this one was. A little disappointed.

The Front Desk Staff, one gentleman in particular, with a clean-shaven head. I didn't get his name. He was of either Middle Eastern or Indian descent. Very Knowledgeable and helpful. He and one of the women at the front knew how to handle questions in a simple, courteous fashion. The Motel was in better shape than some of the reviews indicated. I'd give a 9 out of 10!!!!!

Pros: Front desk staff was very friendly. Cons: Had bed bugs in our first room and had to be moved. Husband wanted to leave, but I figured I would give them a chance. Of course, we were nervous and checked out the bed in the new room diligently. Thankfully no bugs in this room. At 1:58 am someone was trying to enter our room. They had assigned our second room to someone else also. Was told that we would be compensated for the move, but the day shift said they had no knowledge of this and we had to talk to the person that was on duty when we checked in. We were leaving so that wasn't going to happen. All in all, I will never stay there again.

Sofa bed was too close to the bed to open. Man who worked the overnight was kind of rude and stated he had "lived with service dogs" but was absolutely not at all knowledgeable about them.

From the moment I met Hussein, at check-in, I was sold on this hotel. I mentioned this was my first visit to Hint Valley as I was newly engaged and would be moving to the area after my marriage. He immediately shared valuable information about the area. Hotel was the cleanest hotel I have stayed in for the last year and I have been in quite a few due to traveling. I will be staying here during my many visits to Hunt Valley before actually moving into this beautiful area of Maryland

Nice visit at Thanksgiving. Shopping at Valley View Gardens was great. Active fire department across the street so many sirens. Good to know fire department is responsive and closeby. Conscientious and pleasant staff at hotel.

The hotel is in a good and safe area, with a lot of convenient places around it. Lots of choices to eat out and grocery stores as well. The building is a little bit outdated, and our room wasn’t as big, but overall it was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a good and safe area, with a lot of convenient places around it. Lots of choices to eat out and grocery stores as well. The building is a little bit outdated, and our room wasn’t as big, but overall it was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay again.

It was a decent stay for one night for a family when I was on a road trip with my 2 teens. The hotel surroundings appeared safe and it was not too far from the John Hopkins University.

The Holiday Inn staff was welcoming and professional. The hotel was extremely clean and the air was refreshing. The room was clean and the TV had many channels. There were a lot of eateries within walking distance.

The room was compact, but all we needed. It was clean with a very comfortable bed and a nice shower. The breakfast was good. (Excellent bacon!) 24/7 freshly ground coffee brewed by their great automated machine. We would stay there again, but next time ask for a room on the back side so that you don't hear the traffic on York Rd. We were out at an event until late, so that was not a problem for us this time. It is a convenient location.

Elevator doors shut too fast. Other than that everything was excellent. Everything was clean and well kept. Staff was awesome. The breakfast buffet was truly awesome. Bathroom was well laidout and had despensers for lotion, soaps, shampoo. Mounted on the walls for convenience. Perfect. Gary R.

The elevator was loud, slow and apparently breaks down a lot, according to several people who were regular guests or staying longer term. The "garage" was sketchy, poorly lit, open to the woods, and frequented by thankfully benign potheads. It felt unsafe. The mandatory $45 charge for incidentals upon checking in is frankly ridiculous; why should you have use of my money even for a few days? The ads are misleading, implying that there's a restaurant on the premises; there isn't. The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear the neighbors' television and conversations all night, even with the fan on for white noise. And something in the cluster of cabinets which holds the TV, microwave and fridge makes a loud clunking, tapping noise every 20 minutes. The Showtime channels were nice, though, and the bed was comfortable.

They say you get what you pay for. This hotel was the cheapest around and once I arrived, I saw why. The staff on my day of arrival was okay but later that evening, a guy working the front desk just wasn't approachable at all. He looked angry and I even asked him a few questions, he seemed so irritated. The next morning checking out on Tuesday, the woman seemed to not be at the front desk on purpose. She was closing a door going in the back and moving furniture in a room adjacent to the front desk. The breakfast was pitiful. Nothing looked good. We just left. I also wanna mention they were doing construction at night right out front of the hotel, so when it's time to go to bed, you probably won't get any rest. Holiday Inn Express is equal to La Quinta nowadays. The staff was not customer friendly and the free breakfast wasn't worth sitting down to eat.

I STRONGLY DISLIKED that these people violated the agreement which stated I would pay upon arrival to the property / checkin. However when I pulled out cash to pay upon checking in. I was informed my credit card was charged for the full stay BEFORE I arrived. I will never stay there again. Upon entering the lobby you encounter immediate sauna like heat. Its old and needs UPDATING.

The room was very clean, area seemed to be very safe (business district area) and convenient to downtown. Parking was limited for the size of hotel. Breakfast room had no air and was very stuffy but otherwise great food options. A good stay for 1 night.
