The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The view from the side facing the ocean was spectacular. The breakfast room faces the water. We had room facing the pool, which was attractive. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and sitting in the hot tub. The closest beach was a short distance away In Rockport. We will return to the Lighthouse Inn. It was well worth the extra money.

This place was out standing very clean the beds were the best ..very good morning breakfast nice and cool clean quiet so much order we didn’t wanna leave and we’re definitely going back. Compared to prior stays, the pool and pier conditions were disappointing, In previous trip the swimming pool water clarity and lack of floating trash in the water made it so enjoyable and inviting. The cloudy water really makes me reluctant to get in. The thing I enjoyed in previous stays were the green lights (to attract fish at night) on the pier at night, This trip (for some reason) they only had one set, compared to at least three in the past. The beds are advertised as queens but they had to just be double beds, very small! For a few pennies more they could have offer REAL half and half with coffee. Instead they only offer artificial creamer (what a disappointment compared to room price)! The property was clean and staff friendly. But not 5 star.

We were very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. The family used to come here when I was just a kid and it was such a nice clean place. We had always loved staying here so we decided we would take a trip back for old times sake. It was not what it used to be. There were cockroaches all over the place and even in the dining hall. The rooms were not very clean, especially the bathrooms. Everything seemed to be falling apart and poorly kept up with. We called up to the front desk for some extra towels as we were trying to get our little ones bathed and ready for bed and they did not have to staff available to bring any up so we had to go down and get them. This is no big deal but for the price we paid for this room I was very disappointed in the staff, cleanliness and food.

The view is spectacular and there are bars and restaurants within walking distance. The beds are okay as far as comfort. The rooms could use some updating. The air conditioning unit constantly kicked on and off so loudly that it was startling. The bathroom is very small and the shower curtain was very dirty. The breakfast and staff are amazing.

This is a beautiful property with very nice amenities. Plus, the location is prime and close to restaurants and shops. The reason for a missing star was due to two things: 1) the air conditioning unit in our room was like an airplane starting up. It was extremely loud every time it kicked on. 2) it would have been ideal if we were warned about the elevator needing a part. Our room was on the third floor and when we took the elevator, we reached the third floor and it bounced and make a horrifying sound that gave us a heart attack! It was absolutely terrifying every time! But we will return again because despite the above reasons, this really is a great place!

A one night stay at the Lighthouse Inn was delightful. This is an older hotel, right on the bay. We had a 2nd floor bay view that kept us on the balcony for hours. The breakfast was hit and offered a good variety. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly

The property has some age but is well maintained. Room was sort of small with comfortable beds. The bay view was worth the extra cost. Balcony is small but big enough for two to share rocking chairs! Will definitely stay again.

Checkin was easy Room was clean. Really great bay view. Every room came with 2 rocking chairs to sit out and watch the pier. I must agree with other reviewers that the ac is really loud. The pro to that is that it drowns out noises that come from other rooms or Hallway, as the doors are not insulated well. The con is if you must sleep in complete silence, you may be annoyed by it. Bring you some earplugs. The bed is a spring bed. I stayed for 3 nights, by that last night my back was hurting but we are always used to our own beds. Breakfast was great. Last a long while too so it's not everyone eating at the same time. Dining in for dinner was better than I imagined it would be since I'm a picky eater. The food and portion was delicious and generous. Happy hour at the bar has great options for appetizers and drinks. Pool/hot tub was lovely. Opens early and closes late. Water and bbq area was very clean. Nice views to wake up to in the morning to watch the sun rise. Your room comes with a fridge/microwave and coffee maker so you can drink your coffee in the morning watching the sunrise. Staff was very pleasant and kind. They would greet and acknowledge you at every corner. I really recommend this place and will be staying again.

I booked throught Travelocity a room with a pool view and didn't get it until i asked for a room change that had one. At that point the receptionist tried to make me feel dumb for booking through Travelocity instead of calling them directly, she said i would've had better luck that way. She changed my room with a salty attitude anyway but the key didn't work and they made me wait for over an hour with the maintenance man in our room instead of just giving me another better room for the inconvenience. Then proceeded to tell me i should've just stayed in the original room instead of being a nuisance.

Oh my goodness, we had the best time. Everybody was amazing that worked there. Jasper at the front desk was awesome and we had a good time in the bar. Great bartender in the rooms were amazing. The view was incredible.

The beds were awful. The Air conditioner was so loud and rattled we almost went home. The front desk was reluctant to help us and switch our room. After a small confrontation we got another room with a slightly more quiet AC. We got very little sleep. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. So was the evening front desk person, but not the maid who had to clean our room when we switched, or the daytime front desk person. I had to be firm and persistent with before front desk helped us. She showed no concern for the comfort of the guests.

It’s a nice property. But it’s under new management and their policies are terrible. I got there at 1 PM and asked if my room was ready and could I check in. The room was ready but they wanted $20 to check in early? I’m not sure whether expenses were at. but I didn’t think it was reasonable. My buddy came in at Tuesday morning at 3 AM. Wanted a room for a few hours. He was willing to pay full rate, obviously. But, they told him it was a holiday day weekend and they had a minimum two night stay. We’re talking about Monday night/Tuesday morning not Friday before the holiday! They cost themselves a full night stay rate. Plus they nickel and dimed me, and I won’t go back.

Lindy was excellent at check in, and veery helpful on the area. Get the ocean-view; really nice to sit outside. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Olga at breakfast was great.

Attractive, accommodating, extraordinary service! We enjoyed our 3 day stay here at the Lighthouse Inn. 5 star quality at very affordable rates. My wife and I traveled to Rockport for a few days of R&R and were treated to a great stay at this fine establishment. I recommend the Lighthouse Inn to anyone interested in a trouble-free lodging experience in a quaint memorable property!

Great place on the actual bayfront! Love sitting outside watching the sunset, moonrise, and or the sunrise lol. My favorite place on the Gulf Coast when we go birding in the fall and spring.

We really enjoyed the bay view. Plenty of dolphin to watch. We also really enjoyed the pool and pool area. Good breakfast. Several restaurants within walking distance.

Overall, perfect place for serene and quiet stay. Free breakfast is good. The facility overall is not a new structure, but been maintained well. Receptionist, pleasing and accommodating. The only thing that sticks to me is the old-room smell, didn’t bother me a lot but you can tell. Location will give you nice Bay view. Hot tub and pool located at the garden area, though found some few insects/dirt floating. The INN is also in the proximity of various spots like the public Rockport Beach, The Mansion, and parks.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The view from the side facing the ocean was spectacular. The breakfast room faces the water. We had room facing the pool, which was attractive. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and sitting in the hot tub. The closest beach was a short distance away In Rockport. We will return to the Lighthouse Inn. It was well worth the extra money.

Ive been staying at the Lighthouse since Middle School with my grandparents and mom. I have been bring my kiddos now 20 and 18 every year. Location is perfect, piers are well taken care of and easy to access. Cleanest beach in Texas is 10 minutes down the road, or an hour with the ferry ride your in Port A, depending on the time of year of course. My 18 year old son and daughter when we had decided the weekend to book, first response was "I cant wait to get a waffle." Texas shaped waffles on thier very well supplied breakfast - see the core memories developed at the Lighthouse Inn! Its just a good place, slow and quiet community, which is what we enjoy.

Breakfast selections were standard (scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, yoghurt, juices) but they were fresh and replenished frequently. Hot foods were hot, cold foods were cold. It was included in the room rate and a great way to start off the day.

I and our other 2 rooms families were not at all impressed with the beds. The springs poke all night long, and talk about soft like a pillow. The area in the lobby area you cannot sit at starting at 4:00 PM until after 9:00. The bartender was not a very nice man. I would recommend trying another hotel.

It’s a nice place with friendly staff. Your located right in the water if your facing bay side. All in all it not a bad hotel. The price is where it gets me, the hotel just isn’t worth it. I think I’ll find a cheaper option for my next visit.
