Very clean inside...and convenient to Maine Mall area, I95 and I295. The outside area (lawn & landscaping) were in desperate need of mowing and weeding. Not sure what's going on there????

The area was hit by a massive ice storm and we had no power from about 9:00 p.m. till we checked out the next morning. .. a backup generator would be appreciated next time

Roaches everywhere. First stepping into the bathroom there were 3 baby roaches climbing the walls and the sink. I inspected the rest of the room and roaches were climbing out of the wall outlets, on the kitchen counter, on the walls, and climbing out of the drain in the dishwasher. Disgusting. The staff at the front desk was nice about it and offered a different room however a roast infestation does not just affect one room so I said no thank you. Spent less than 2 hours in the room and could not sleep there so I went elsewhere.

Our room had a window in the kitchen that wouldn't close all the way, it kept letting bugs in. There was mold and an extreme amount of dust and cobwebs around the vent fan in the bathroom. The inner bathroom door wouldn't latches. There was smoke damage in the bedrooms. The other bedroom door wouldn't latch at all. There wasn't any extra bedding for the pull out couch and we had to go across the street to the office to get it ourselves.

The space is great for the room it provides, but the room cleanliness was disgusting. The furniture is full of stains and very used (drawers in kitchen don’t shut, wear and tear on all furniture). The floors were very dirty and sticky. The dishes in the cabinets were not clean either. It’s honestly like nothing besides the beds have ever been room serviced. And even then there were hairs on the comforter at move in. Was very disappointed by the standard of cleaning here and will not stay here again because of this.

We had a two bedroom suite and it was absolutely perfect for our family. We had enough space but at the same point we had two private bedrooms. It was super clean. The staff was friendly. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Highly recommend.

The set up was great! Two bedroom suite, the kitchen drawers did not stay closed, the paint on woodwork was peeling around doorways, one bedroom had a window that fully opened but there was no screen (this was the 3rd floor) and was a huge safety hazard... People were nice enough... Policy regarding towels is not guest friendly - room advertises for up to 6 people, but they will only give you towels for 4 people - was told had to bring towels down to exchange but were only allowed 4 towels for the room even though there were 5 of us. Made enough noise and got a 5th towel... Expected more, especially as we came in the off season, but it was pretty okay. We might stay again...

The refrigerator in the room made a constant loud clunking noise due to a broken ice maker that wouldn’t turn off, and the bathroom faucet handle kept falling off. Climate control worked well, very comfortable bed and pillows, fast WiFi, functional kitchen area, friendly staff. I would return!

I was OVERCHARGED. The listing on Orbitz stated that there was a pet fee per accommodation. Since most hotels have a fee per pet, and I was traveling with two dogs, I selected this hotel over others. When I arrived late at night, I was informed that the the fee would be per pet, regardless of the listing. Neither the hotel nor Orbitz would honor the terms in the listing, and I had nowhere else to go. I will not be staying here again. The room was fine and generally clean.

Manager on duty was so beyond rude. No one was at the check in desk, had to wait 15 minutes to check in just for the manager to give me issues because they have had alot of expedia bookings that have caused issues on their property.

We stayed for 6 weeks and had no cleaning services provided. We were long-term stayers and were asked to leave abruptly due to our disabled children being sick with the flu and crying and making a bit of noise around 12:00 am. We apologized and let them know this wouldnt be an issue again but they still told us we needed to go. I felt it was unfair due to our circumstances and that my toddler's were kicked out. Very in human and unkind and inhospitable.

The location of this hotel is very convenient to visit local attractions. The staff was very friendly at check in. The location of the room was great for staying with a dog and was convenient to go outside quickly. We had an incident requiring a new set of linens and the front staff was efficient and expedious in getting this to our room. They were very kind and sympathetic. The room was clean and stocked. I had stayed in another IHG property a few weeks prior and this location was much better, more friendly and accommodating. I would recommend it.

Comfortable room, nice kitchen, decent options in the motel store and a grocery store was just down the street. The shower was great. One of the best motels I’ve stayed at in my travels.

Unlike all hotels in a near by Portland, Candlewood is an affordable place to stay for a family. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. Plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen.

It worked really well for us. We like having the kitchen alot. The room was clean except it had a strange odor when you first walked in. Free coffee was great. We will definitely considering staying there in the future.

The rooms are big and comfortable, everything is clean. They don't offer any kind of breakfast though. There's a Hannaford grocery store nearby and easy access to the Maine Turnpike.

We enjoyed a clean and quiet room for our one night stay. There was a small store in the lobby where you could purchase snacks and breakfast food, as well as free coffee and tea.

Do yourself a favor and choose another place. This was a very disappointing stay due to poor room conditions, maintenance issues, and front desk service. I will not be returning. I requested not to be placed on the first floor, but my room faced a smoking area, making it difficult to ventilate without cigarette smoke entering. One window had no screen and the other had a broken one, allowing flies into the room. The room had a strong chemical/Lysol odor that made it hard to breathe and was especially concerning due to my asthma. I attempted to switch rooms but was not accommodated. The property felt run-down, with dirty curtains, sticky countertops, cheap or broken silverware, and defective locks. At check-in, I was told no other suites were available, but another guest was immediately given one. My check-in also took significantly longer, which felt inconsistent and concerning. My interaction with Megan at the front desk was particularly unpleasant. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional, which made resolving issues more difficult. On the last full day, we were informed that all room locks would be changed with little notice or explanation, causing unnecessary disruption during our stay. Overall, the combination of poor room conditions, maintenance issues, and unsatisfactory service made for an uncomfortable experience from start to finish. I will not be staying here again.
