Quality Inn & Suites Ann Arbor Hwy 23

Room was not clean. Had to be given another room. Second room seemed to be missing privacy curtains.Third room was clean, but had roaches. Pool was locked off and inaccessible. Treadmill did not work. Gym was horrid. Three dumbbells? This was a rip off and illegal under the Michigan Consumer Protection Act of 1976. Will be contacting MI Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. Overall, this place is a dump. Didn't even bother to try breakfast after the roaches thing. Trash in the hallway. Front desk was not manned during my check out. I had to leave a note and the keys. Disgraceful. If I was hotels.com, I would visit this garbage heap and delist them.

The location was convenient. The pool was clean but cold, once we got them to unlock the hasp/lock about an hour and a half after it was posted to be open. Nothing else positive comes to mind. The main hallway carpet remained filthy the 4 days we were there. Tables & counters were not cleaned from the previous day. Water dispenser ( to dilute the very strong coffee) dispensed orange juice. The tile floor in bathroom & in the room entrance in fornt of the sink was coated with an oily film & very slippery. The shower curtain ws nearly pulled out of the wall & hung precariously by one loose screw at each end. Toilet seat was very loose. Wall clocks in lobby area & pool area were inop. Room walls in serious need of painting -especially bathroom. Ceiling fan full of lint & considerable rust on door hinges & door frame. No butter available for waffles. No milk was available for cereal. Desk clerk rarely present. Very rude & interruptive as I respectfully tried to explain some issues. The "maintenance man" was pointed out to me our last day & appeared to be incapable of doing the most minor of any maintenance. He had no life, drive or enthusiasm. None of the issues were addressed by staff during our stay except unlocking the pool after my wife told the desk clerk that she would remain at the desk 'till the pool was opened. My wife has two artificial knees & a very bad hip. Thank God she didn't slip & fall on the slippery floor. Also, an 8 inch circular stain in the

Water poured from ceiling above toilet. No towels or toilet paper in room. TV and fridge didn't work. Microwave was filthy. Pool and hot tub closed for winter but was not disclosed. Parking lot unplowed and super icy.

Lobby stinks marijuana, hallway stinks marijuana. Floors are dirty in the hallway and room. Tv has only 1 channel. I am not happy for the price we paid for it. Pool is dirty. No hot spa as it says on their property amenities. They need to update their details! And they need a good cleaning workers!

Police presence seems to be a common thing there. Someone on second floor was smoking a lot of pot. Repairs desperately needed. Beds were nice. But no coffee pot. Breakfast was minimal choices

Pool and Fitness room were locked up, not usable!

It was filthy... Ketchup on the walls, broken closest door mop boards falling off the wall and rocking toilet. Pool was out of commission. Service was rude. We left and are now fighting to get our money back

Our room was very clean and we were so pleased there was very hot water in the shower not lukewarm like so many hotels today. There is nothing fancy here but cleanliness is #1 for us.

My 6yr old son is a patient at U of M where he is being treated for his neurological disease and we needed a place to stay between appointments and we chose this hotel for the price point, the pool and location. The location was not worth it, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming in every area of the hotel and I wedged a towel under my door trying to minimize the smell that induced a terrible headache. The pool area was gross, dirty, smelly, unmaintained and I had to clean the pool myself with the skimmer but due to the appearance of the water and freezing temperature I didn’t get in the pool myself and my son played alone for an extremely short amount of time when we planned our evening to be spent playing together in the pool he lasted maybe a half an hour. It was so gross. Our room had leftover used toiletries in the shower and bathroom, left over trash was under the bed and half consumed items were still in the refrigerator. Microwave was dirty with left over food and I had to clean it before I could use it. It was a very disappointing stay for my son and I and we will not be at this location again.

This entire place needs a thorough renovation. It’s dirty and rundown. Sure, it’s relatively affordable. Yet, you might want to spend $20 more for a better stay.

Check-in was a nightmare - either because of Expedia or the check-in clerk. I failed to notice my surname had not yet been changed in my Expedia account when I booked, and it took about an hour and almost an Act of God to rectify this. The toilet was dirty when we checked in, and after 3 days of no cleaning or fresh linens we finally (after asking 2 or 3 times) managed to get someone in to take care of that for our final 2 days. The room was poorly maintained, with no latch mechanism on the bathroom door, a smashed shower panel, a non-functional hair dryer, etc. The carpets, especially in hallways, are filthy. Not a recommended place.

ROACHES and everything is FILTHY

DO NOT STAY HERE-Infested with bedbugs Upon check in we were greeted with a guest service agent very clearly done with his job. We went into our room that smelled of mildew, all the lamps were all unplugged then we realized the toilet was clearly under repair. Went down to ask for a new room. He said they were over booked but another guest hadnt checked in yet so we could have their room ? We walked in and turned on the light. When i say this room was crawling with bed bugs, im not exaggerating. The outlets were brown. We left immediately and had to find another hotel. Do not book here.

Filthy. From the carpet in the hallways and the mismatching doors throughout to the actual room. This place was a disaster. The was a dead bug hanging from the ceiling in my room, the windows were broken, the bathroom was disgusting and the air unit had mold or was caked with years of dirt build up. I checked in and never went back to actually stay. I was repulsed.

We booked this for a family trip to the East Coast. The room was filthy and disgusting. There were stains on the walls and carpets. There were bits of toilet paper and stains on the walls. Even the door to the bathroom was stained and had chips of paint missing. The bedding was stained. It was completely unacceptable. We would have left, but we paid for it already and it was very late. It fact, my family slept in their clothes because it was so gross. We complained at the front desk in the morning. They were nice, but did not offer a refund. Don't stay here.

Dirty sheets, sticky floor, dirty table tops, porcelain chipped on the tub, caulk coming loose on the toilet, wallpaper coming off, ceiling material coming off the ceiling. Bathroom and closet doors would not shut. Hallway wallpaper coming off. We left immediately and did not stay and went to a different hotel.

No sleeping as noise was terrible. Phone and TV did not work.

This property is in very poor condition. Most things are broken or are breaking. Entire shower was broken, we wouldnt even use it. Slamming doors took place all night and morning, very very noisy.

Overall maintenance at this facility was extremely subpar. Television didn’t work remote wouldn’t operate the TV. Took three trips from front desk and maintenance staff in order to get to function at all. Bathroom was extremely dirty floor was sticky. Overall condition was far less than I would’ve expected.

The room was in great condition, maintained well. Nice pool, exercise room. Wifi worked well.

The window panes were broken, the bathroom switch made a very loud noise, the hallway smelled of stale tobacco but the bed was comfortable. Vending machines did not work.

For one, there was a back hallway door that didn't shut. Walking through the door, low- income apartments just outside. In the room: non-operating fridge, no Kleenex (have NEVER seen this in any hotel), and loose tile in the bathroom (water heave). Wet carpet from leaking ac . Boiling hot water in the sink. The beds were comfortable enough. Didn't patronize the free breakfast; looked dismal. They really need to address these issues! Decrease the rate and don't advertise breakfast!

TV didn't work. Shades didn't close. Shower water all over floor.

As a woman staying alone,I wasn’t very pleased that the front desk attendant announced my room number to me and everyone else in the lobby. The stairwell was right next door to my room and every time someone opened and closed the door, it slammed shut. Which shook the entire wall. Made sleeping difficult as the bed was up against that wall. Overall the place was dark and dreary. Not well maintained. Very disappointed.

The location was perfect. It was clean. However, the TV didn't work properly, the bathroom door didn't shut. The breakfast setup was poor, i.e. no plates, the juice machine didn't work. The toaster didn't work and the fruit was over-rip.

The bathroom had a slight mold smell in it and the toilet leaked kinda bad after flushing

Expedía should not even have them listed on their we bsite. This hotel is horrible, the customer service is horrible. They would not check us out after trying to leave due to horrible room conditions and hookers outside our room. We are fighting to get our refund. Do not stay here!

Front desk clerk was THE MOST INCOMPETENT AND INCONSIDERATE “person” I ever spoke to. Refused to answer the simplest question. Refused to assist my family in any way. He literally stopped speaking to us. Just sat on his tiny stool and stared blankly at us when we asked a question.

They didn’t have a working key machine and had to let us in the room each time. They’d prop the door open and wouldn’t even wait for us to get there before leaving the room unattended.

Throughout our stay, the facility just didn't felt being tended to at all - e.g. when we arrived no one was at the front desk. We had to wait for ~20 mins until I found the guy sitting outside in his personal car on his phone. Same thing when we checked out. The public areas were very dim, one of the vending matching room water had leaked through the roof and was pooling on the floor. The room was very dusty and must had pet before as it triggered minor allergy reaction in my kid. I also have to complain about the breakfast - the hotel advertises "hot" breakfast but when we got there all we got was a few plain bagels, and cold waffles, some cereal, some juice and a urn of coffee. Again, no staff was tending the "breakfast bar". It's barer than the most bare continental breakfast I have seen before. I have photos to back up all my descriptions above. All in all, I think the owner of this hotel put no heart/effort into the service they offer. I felt scammed for the $100 a night I paid. Really bad experience.

1) The reception desk staff were outside the building when I checked in. There was a paper sign on the desk saying that they were helping another guest. They were not. They were smoking outside. 2) The deadbolt on my room did not work. 3) The toilet flush handle in my bathroom was broken. 4) The walls of my room had many areas that were patched and painted a much darker color than the rest of the room. 5) The floor of the entry and the bathroom of my room were sticky. 6) The toilet was leaking slowly and was refilling itself every few minutes loudly throughout the night. I was actually booked for 2 nights but, after enduring the first night, I checked in to the Regent across the street. It was worth forfeiting the $205 to not stay there the second night. When I went back the next morning to check out and return my key, the same paper sign was on the desk. The clerk at the desk was sitting in his car in the front lot smoking again. Words fail to describe this place accurately.

We arrived at the Quality Inn at about 11:30 PM. There was no one at the front counter so we waited assuming they would be back. After ten minutes no one had shown up so we called the number for the hotel, we could hear the phone ringing in the office, but nobody picked up. We knocked on the office door, checked the bathrooms, the service closet and the kitchen, both of which were wide open, there was nobody on premise that could check us in. After about 20 minutes two guests came to the front lobby to check out because they said their rooms were infested with cockroaches, one said they were in the sink and the shower, the other said the mini fridge was just full of roaches. They also could not check out because still there was nobody working anywhere on the premises. After over 30 minutes I booked another hotel on Hotels.com and left. When I got to the hotel I contacted Hotels.com customer support and reported the situation.Hotels.com have refused to refund the charge and I am now over $475 out of pocket for a hotel stay I never had. They say that the property, Quality Inn, or their parent company Choice Hotels, say that according to the terms and conditions of my reservation I do not qualify for a refund based on the nature of my complaint. I asked what if I had shown up and the hotel was closed, would that qualify? If there is no one onsite to check you in and give you a room is that not effectively the same thing as being closed. Simply appalling service from all involved

The locks were being replaced so the front desk clerk had to let me back into my room every time I came back in, it was weird and just uncomfortable.

Was traveling and it was easy access from Rt 23 and very quiet. If traveling in that area would stay there again.

Entry ceiling was leaking. Called hotel ahead to check on pool and hot tub hours before booking. Booked and arrived same day and no hot tub or pool working (pipe broke a week ago). No toilet paper in room (remedied quickly). No paper towels or soap in first floor public bathroom. Bed was fine. TV was small. Lighter found by bed floor in nonsmoking room (not removed by cleaning staff??) Location was convenient for our event and for restaurants. Felt safe. Room was otherwise clean. Breakfast was very meager (coffee, cereal, danish individualky wrapped, bagels—- no milk or cream cheese or butter)

Location was terrible. Next to a funeral home and crematorium. The place was dirty. Looked like the AC was never cleaned.

The area and staff were nice however, the rooms smelled like weed and smoke (non-smoking hotel), the sheets and bedding smelled, and the walls had stains on them. The hotel was very rundown. The vending machines with water (the only water at the hotel) were broken. Overall not worth the money!

High mile hotel. Comfortable beds, tv almost worked, building in pretty beat up Close to freeway

It was good enough for the event we had. It was decent. The beds were comfy. Love, the fact that it was closer to everything around.

THIS PROPERTY DOES FALSE ADVERTISING - INDOOR POOL HAS A PADLOCK ON IT, AS WELL AS FITNESS CENTER! ROOMS ARE DIRTY - FULL LENGTH MIRROR RIPPED OFF BATHROOM DOOR, GRAFFITI ON WALL (POORLY PAINTED OVER). ADVERTISES FOR FULL BREAKFAST (EVEN SIGN HAS WAFFLES) - FEW COLD ITEMS AVAILABLE.

Breakfast bar consisted of a couple bagels, no butter or cream cheese a basket of bananas and a few tubs of yogurt, no spoons to eat the yogurt though. Walls and carpets and windows visibly dirty. The beds and linens were nice and clean.

I chose this hotel for the price and the fitness room, only to find out that it was closed. I wish hotels would just be honest and inform customers when amenities are closed. The room was very dusty. A quick wipe with a cloth could have taken care of this. This alerted me that the cleaning was insufficient. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee was good. No cups with lids which could prevent spillage when taking to rooms.

Worst so called breakfast I’ve ever seen. Lukewarm coffee, no cups! No table or chairs set out. Had to search for the clerk. Could hear every moan and cough of the guy next door. Room door fit badly and needed a big shove to open and close. Pathetic place and not worth $50 let alone $125

Building very outdated, pool ice cold, shower water so hot you couldn't let it touch your skin and no way to adjust it. Very limited breakfast. Mixture of smoke and mildew smell throughout building.

There were no towels. They have a pool and there are no towels!!! We had 3 adults in our room and they only supplied the room with 2 Towels. We asked for more towels and we were told that the did Not have any more. So, 3 Adults has to share 2 towels after using the pool and again the next morning to shower. The breakfast cosisted of STEAL bagels, ego waffles, yogurt, and cereal but No milk for the cereal.
