This is usually the place I stay when I go to Michigan. This time, however, was very disappointing because the elevator was broken and I was put on the 3rd floor. If I were younger and in better health it wouldn't have been a problem. Thankfully another guest carried my suitcase upstairs for me.

We were very bummed to find out the hot tub was not working. We booked this hotel for thay specific reason and called ahead to make sure it was working. Since we called a couple weeks in advance it's understandable that things break down unpredictably however, it still was disappointing. The staff was great, breakfast was good and our room was decent.

The hotel was great, my only point of concern is the peeling paint all within the pool area. Other than that the staff was great, breakfast was good, and the hotel overall was kept up.

Loved the room. Very spacious. (King with pull out couch). Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Good Breakfast. Hot tub was closed 2 of 3 nights there. (Whole spa closed?) Staff was very friendly and kind.

Check-in Thurs afternoon. Room appeared clean until a look behind the dresser - pretty nasty. Wasn't expecting the 'every other day cleaning' so the second day (Fri.) we had to get more towels. The third day (Sat.) we told room cleaners we'd be out shortly then they could do what they normally and told us that Marriot changed the cleaning to every-other-day. Well, fresh towels were left, but no coffee or bathroom cups, no toilet paper (we were out) and bed wasn't made, instead the covers were thrown up to cover the bed (didn't expect this at all). Suggestion: upon check-in, advise guests of the every-other-day cleaning and restocking of necessities. The continental breakfast was fair but the hours are limited and begin to early (7am -9 M-F and 7:30am - 9:30 S-S). Not a place we'd stay again. Did much better at the Quality Inn right next to Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek, MI.

Clean hotel! Safe and quiet the room was quite roomy and cleaned very well. The front staff was very nice. Very helpful and got us checked in quickly. It’s a good place to stay if you’re ever in Battle Creek Michigan.

Everything was excellent. I always stay at Fairfield inn and suites wherever I travel. This location was convenient. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. The owner was friendly. The manager was excellent. The breakfast staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. The pool and hot tub was clean and operating. If I could give it 100 stars I would. I definitely recommend staying here. Very safe too.

The bathroom vent was disgusting. It was full of dust. The bathroom sink was constantly plugged up. They do not clean the room daily. We were there for 5 days and the room was only “cleaned” once

The staff was fabulous, but this hotel is not worth $184/night. Our room was dirty (including a splash of what appeared to be feces on the bathroom wall), the lamp stand was dusty and the water did not drain well from the sink. The shower water only got to lukewarm, never hot and the pool was disgusting. The elevator was jerky and made weird squeaky noises that were unsettling. Do not recommend.

One big problem was trying to sleep with large bright lights shining into our room all night. The curtains were sheer with no movable curtains to cover them. Don't get a room facing the motel next door, go for rooms on the other side of the building. The room, breakfast and staff were great. We stayed on the 3rd floor.

There was construction going on inside and outside so not very ideal. Refrigerator barely worked, shower leaked, desk lamp had no light bulb and the mattress wasn't very comfortable. Some of the staff was welcoming and friendly and others wouldn't even say hi. Free breakfast was pretty good with lots of options. Our room was right next to the highway so it was pretty loud most of the time. It was very close to the zoo that we went to and close to plenty of restaurant options as well. Overall I'd give it 3 stars but probably won't stay there again.

Quiet, and close to shops, restaurants and major roadways. The rooms are getting dated and a little dreary. Rooms were smaller, so 2-queen room was cramped for 2 travelers. Breakfast had some good and healthier selections. Overall, an average room at a really decent price.

Staff including managerial member we’re very unprofessional! Taking very specifically about a former staff member’s legal and financial matters including their full name in front of guests. Including opening and reading aloud governmental mail detailing their decision and investigation. Also, signage at elevators with route to stairs was worn and illegible.

When i arrived, the person at the counter acted like i was an inconvenience to them. The room itself was clean but the shower was not clean. When i checked out the person at the counter was amazing,also the person making the breakfast was amazing too.

I've stayed at this hotel more than half a dozen times in the last six months and the last couple visits I've been warmly greeted by Shayla at the front desk! After a long drive, she says the perfect things to make me smile and feel so welcomed. She is definitely the right person to be the "face" of the hotel! The person managing the awesome breakfast in the morning also had such a welcoming personality. I failed to catch her name, but she made a point of talking to each guest (especially us solo guests!) and making sure they had everything they needed. We had a great conversation, making me feel at home. I'll continue staying here for sure!

Breakfast was cold. Pool needs cleaning. Charged $40 to my credit card for “incidentals” upon checking in. It’s been 4 days since I have checked out and I’m still waiting for charge to come off my card.

We loved the hot tub and pool which were open till 11 PM! And they both existed and worked – definite bonus! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Elevator worked and the ice machine was in good service! The downside was the breakfast and breakfast service the next morning, at 7:30, they were already out of things - at 8:30 when my family went down all that was left with crumbs and no one restocked anything because no one was working in that area any longer. The big reason we stayed there was for the hot tub and a buffet style breakfast, supposedly rare to the area. I would probably stay next-door next time….

Chose this hotel for a night getaway from the kids. We wanted a hotel with a hot tub that was maintained and a clean room. The staff was very friendly during check in. We got to our "upgraded room" because the system was not allowing check in to our original room. The "upgraded" room had a latch that was busted through like someone tried kicking the door in. The shower had a grate that was unattached to the floor and the room was outdated with a sticky spot in the carpet. When going down to the hot tub, the elevator button going down from the 2nd floor was busted, not lighting up or making noise when pushed, but still got us where we needed to go. The hot tub jets did not work, so the water was mostly stagnant. There was other guests utilizing the facilities that were flicking bugs off their legs into the hot tub and wearing white underwear that was a bit unsightly. One gentleman appeared to be washing his clothes in tbe hot tub and ringing them out on his way out. Needless to say, we didn't stay long. We will not be back.
